A sneaky, snakey company that will do all it can to make sure you don't get your deposit back! Poor customer service, was left without acceptable heat levels from the radiator due to a boiler issue that took 6 months to repair

As a tenant I can honestly say I have been well looked after by DJ Alexander. There staff are always very consconside in any communication with them. I would highly recommend.

Have had nothing but a great experience with them for a decade. They solve all problems in a friendly, efficient way, treat both my tenants and me well, and are a joy to deal with.

Review based on experience as a prospective tenant. Response to owner: - The review is over a year old (Aug/Nov 2018), it has just recently been edited. - I had communicated with you prior to writing the review, and advised of the issues experienced.

DJ Alexander have been excellent in assisting us with our move. David and Lee were helpful with all of our requests and responded swiftly to any queries we had. The flexibility shown when we were all abroad was also much appreciated.

I live in Northern Ireland and have recently used DJ Alexander and their legal services to sell my property in Glasgow. I must say from day one, Catherine Bruce manage was most efficient and professional to get a successful sale. I must also comend Chloe Davidson (solicitor) who had led the legal side of the sale. I would certainly use DJ Alexander again.

I recently had occasion to sell a flat in Glasgow which had for many years been successfully let and managed by D. J. Alexander and considered it likely they would show the same professionalism if instructed to place it on the open market. Catherine Bruce handled the sale exceptionally well for us producing an excellent brochure, keeping in close touch throughout the whole process and securing a very good result in a short period of time.I would have no hesitation in recommending D. J. Alexander and her in person as a first class choice for your business.

DJ Alexander Letting has managed my flats for over 2 years now and I find them professional and responsive. The whole team are a pleasure to work with, in particular David, Craig and Diane who have been particularly helpful. Highly recommend.

We recently purchased a property marketed by D.J. Alexander. Throughout the process, we dealt with Catherine Bruce, and we were highly impressed by her highly professional, proactive approach. Catherine was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. She ensured that we were kept up-to-date at all stages of the process and was always happy to help. We would not hesitate to recommend dealing with Catherine. Many thanks!

Having had issues with a previous sale of my property which had fallen through using a Paisley based estate agent, I decided to try DJ Alexander. Catherine Bruce was the main contact and she kept me up to date every step of the way. The apartment sold within a few weeks or marketing and I couldn't be happier with the whole transaction. Thanks again.

I have recently used DJ Alexander to rent a property in Glasgow west end. As Its my first time renting the service provided by David Sullivan and team has been flawless. I had and still have so many questions regarding heating etc etc and he has always been there to help me. I am very happy that I selected to go with DJ Alexander as an agent. Thanks David for making my move seamless and hassle free.

Me and my partner were searching for a new flat and I think we all know how tedious the search for a place you can call home can be. We have had our fair share of interaction with other letting agencies in the past that has left us with a lot of reserve when searching for a flat, but I can safely say our experience with D.J Alexander was, simply put, amazing. From their letting agents to their finance and lease departments (special mentions to Mr. David Sullivan who showed us the flats and to Mr. Lee Charlton who took care of all the paperwork), everyone was friendly, quick, accurate and very professional. They were ready to answer all our equiries, they didn't apply any extra letting fees (something a lot of letting agencies do to their potential tenants without informing the tenants in advance (that has happened to us twice!)) and finally the whole process was over in a matter of days. Truly, we thank you for helping us find a place we can call home!

Absolutely avoid. I would need to write a whole page on their horrendous service, but I will just limit myself to say that: -they will try to charge you for everything: even for the things that are not dirty, or that were listed in the check in inventory. -they abuse of their position to avoid cleaning charges that they or the landlord should pay for and they're careless, disorganised and obviously do not care for the details of their own reports: they make a lot of mistakes. -do not think that you will be the exception: this is what I thought when I chose to rent a flat with Stonehouse... you will not be the exception and you will be unfairly charged. Luckily, we had a property managed by the landlord and he agreed that the property was not as bad as described on their check-out report and we did avoid paying hundreds of pounds for cleanings. Yes, hundreds of pounds for cleaning a slightly dusty flat, which was examined without us being present and without them trying to schedule a proper check out examination....which they carried days after we moved out.

Customer service awful. Said they would do things that they haven’t. Like pulling teeth to get a response from someone.

Not happy during the checkout as they took £370+ pounds from my deposit. Im glad that I disputed the amount with the adjucator and got £242 back. Would give 4 stars for the service but I will give 1 star as the checkout process was RIDICULOUS. Never had I gone through this process where I had to pay £370+ from the deposit.

Avoid at all costs. I will be highlighting this unprofessional agency in an upcoming TV program, following my own personal experience and following reviews of others. Don't bother contacting the Complaints Manger as the response I received when I contacted the office was an email with statements in inverted commas. So rude. Unlawful entry into apartment and initially blatantly denied by agent, trying to impose viewings without giving at least 24 hours notice ( emails to prove) and charges at end. I NOTE THAT THE FIRST THREE OLDER REVIEWS ARE STILL BEING SEEN ON FIRST GLANCE THOUGH MY REVIEW HAS JUST BEEN POSTED!

Stonehouse seem to forget that their long term clients exist, after a couple of years communication slows down. My partner and I spent five months with black mold in our bathroom due to a suspected faulty extractor fan, email after email was sent, we even went in for a meeting and it was only until a week before leaving the flat that we were offered an engineer to come and look at the issue. After agreeing that the black mold which had built up on the walls and silicone around the bath would be deducted from our deposit, we were charged over £50 for the silicone, this was after almost two months waiting for a report on our deposit. Stonehouse lettings are a greedy company who do not care about their tenants.

Here is an extensive review of Stonhouse in all stages of tennancy: The application process - - The first time I applied for a flat it was an absolute walk in the park, however this was in 2014, and my more recent application process was wholly diferent. - The second time I applied for a flat verbally upon viewing (2018). Two full days later upon hearing nothing I decided to phone and was informed a decision would be that day and I would hear back from the office before 5pm - I never heard back. This strikes me as slightly unprofessional. The duration of tennancy- - I can only say good things about the duration of the tennancy - problems were sorted quickly and communication with the property manager was excelllent. Post tennancy- - Say goodbye to the deposit. In short, no matter how clean the flat is left, stonehouse will insist on a professional clean at a rate of 17 pounds an hour. Furthermore do not be surprised if you are greeted with ridiculous quotes for time spent cleaning each room - the cleaning company claimed to take almost 12 hours to clean our kitchen. I have seen kitchens built in shorter periods of time than this. The Brief Summary: - Mixed bag when it comes to application - if the flat is popular expect poor communication. - Communication during tennancy is good. - Deposit will be ravaged given any tiny excuse. Overall, go for stonehouse if you are a tennant who wants a nice flat with wads of cash to spare.
