GoogleWe where about to move in in 2 days, they diddnt let us know yet if all requirements are as asked from our side. Witch they could do 1 weak atleast before. Its not right to leave it on 2 days before. Really unprofessional. Especially in this covid times.

GoogleTrying to obtain acess for a property to run few maintenance jobs. Left 17messages. Still not received a call back after 2weeks. Contacting anybody or getting anywhere is just anoying. Dj Alexander clearly dont have time for ppl whos not in there needs.

GoogleIf you're looking for a place to rent please avoid this company. I called more than ten times..... They answered the phone once!!! They said they were going to send me a video tour.... They never did! And then when I tried to contact them to ask why I never got it.... Never got an answer! Total waste of time, so glad I am now renting with Rettie instead. They've answered ALL my emails and calls. Please avoid these people unless you have to, I was urgently looking for a flat and these people wasted a lot of my time! See below my call log - let it ring for several minutes, no answer!

GoogleI found a flat in one of the property sites, listed by dj Alexander, on the 25th of May.... I have been trying to contact the agency to express my interest for the said property, by email and nobody there replied. I even contacted them by phone and left my contact information and they assured me that they would contact me to arrange a virtual viewing. Nobody ever did.. very bad communication and very rude staff. They sounded bored on the phone...NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Google*Appalling customer service* For a company which is meant to be quite reputable - very disappointed in the lack of care & effort shown by the people working there. Emailed about several flats - one which would of been very ideal for me this year. However, no replies to any emails for over a week - my friend also emailed about the exact same place.. still nothing. We become impatient because we know good flats don't stay on the market for long. On top of all the emails requesting viewings, I phoned multiple times over the week ( even left a voice message with details ) and no one picked up even tho they are open. Got so fed up of relying on them to get back to me that I just went in to talk to someone in person. To which I stressed I would really like a viewing at this place. Took my name down, spelt it wrong even tho I spelt it out twice. Lady phones, says she wants my email to send the virtual tour to. Again spells it wrong.. takes another day & further phone call to actually get sent the virtual tour. But guess what, by the time I view it online & told to fill in the application if I like it... INSTANT EMAIL BACK SAYING THE PLACE HAS BEEN TAKEN. The chap asked if I would like to view any others. Sent two places I wanted to look at, but guess Mark Hall can't be arsed replying to help me and is probably standing outside the shop on his phone again trying to look flashy in his suit. GoogleUnprofessional, poor communication and didn’t make us feel valued or welcome at all. Flat was in horrendous condition and tried to argue with us when we brought up some of the items left in the flat before we moved in. Regularly sent contractors to the flat without telling us, especially when they had given them keys which you can imagine caused me to jump up from my seat on multiple occasions. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

GoogleAVOID AVOID AVOID After getting our first flat with this disgrace of a company we were told after 2 months the flat would be getting sold and we would have to move however they would assist in the matter of finding us a new flat. Instead they would go on to complete ignore us and then take our full deposit if £1200 for "cleaning fees" that were totally fabricated. You cannot charge that amount for cleaning skirting boards and try and compare 2 picture, one of a full hallway taken at check in and the other the check out picture taken of the actual skirting board and claiming its dirty!!! Have you ever heard of an actual comparison or does your company enjoy scamming people with astronomical cleaning fees. This company has no ethics or obligation to its tennents or landlords!!! There are so many better estate agents out there than these scam artists and I would highly recommend going anywhere but here!!! Absolutely disgusting service and a disgusting way to treat people that are paying to stay in a flat!!!NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Hi Gill, Having searched our system to establish the details around the tenancy you refer to, unfortunately we do not appear to have any record of you having been a tenant of ours under this name. In Scotland all deposits are lodged with a custodial deposit scheme, no agent or landlord can deduct funds from a deposit without the deposit scheme agreeing the deductions are reasonable and based on evidence supplied. GoogleUnfortunately, I have requested details about several flats through Rightmove with this agency and also tried inquiring through the DJ Alexander website but I got zero responses. I also called twice and left a voicemail, but again this was not responded to. Fortunately, I have found a flat elsewhere but this is seriously unprofessional. If anyone is considering letting a flat then please choose an agency that will actively reach out to tenants.

GoogleWhile the company was definitely a bit difficult to get on the phone, we had a good experience working with them. Ali Scott was particularly helpful, answered all of our questions when showing us a flat, and successfully negotiated with the landlords on our behalf.

GoogleStill haven't been able to move in into the property I am renting 2 weeks after the move-in date written on my contract. Apartment isn't cleaned properly and there is a MASSIVE leak that is making me unable to use the heating system and even hot water. I had to rent an airbnb to live in while waiting this is getting fixed, meaning I have to pay TWO RENTS during the pandemic (and since there are not reactive at all, this will take a while). One of the contractor even informed me that he had been made aware of the situation on the same day he came over to check the issue when I actually made DJ Alexander staff aware of the issue two weeks ago as soon as I received the inventory.
