I was supposed to meet Stephanie for a viewing today. I got there 5 mins early and waited, and waited. Called their number, the lady I spoke to could not get hold of Stephanie and said she left a voicemail. At 16:25 I finally left as it was freezing! Only to have an email from them saying that I DID NOT ATTEND! And how she called me twice, she never! At 15:57 she said in an email how the deposit was taken from someone at 14:00. So WHY ARRANGE MORE VIEWINGS after that? Disgusting, unprofessional and liar.

One of the worst letting agency in Glasgow . They will send spams on email to attend viewing and once you give application, they will ghost you .One of the agent Yv..... its been 10 + days and i havent even got a response to my application . Went for other viewings and the proporty managers are least interested in showing you the apartment . PH... - show some respect to your customers . I beleive your job is to show the apartment and not to sit on the couch and browse socials. I am glad i found another letting agency who were commited to their work and resposive over emails .

We had a viewing of a DJ Alexander property with Matthew, who was just about the most professional and positive letting agent I've ever encountered. He was knowledgeable, excited and great with communication, prompt to reply and keep us updated. Unfortunately the process with DJ Alexander as a company from then on was not great. We felt like we were great candidates with income far exceeding what they wanted, but faced scrutiny and a negative attitude for our unconventional income sources, we were asked to pay 6 months rent upfront which, although was well within our means, felt mistrusting and unreasonable and most people would not be in a position to do this, and we felt like we were not seen as good candidates. This impression was given before the landlord had even been contacted, so it felt a great deal like someone at DJ Alexander had dismissed us before giving us a chance. Matthew himself was objective throughout this process and was very clear that he was presenting candidates equally and fairly based on our information, but it seemed like behind the scenes there were numerous issues with us and it left a sour taste. Ultimately, we have gone with another letting agent.

I'm renting in Glasgow city centre and DJ Alexander took over the management of the property from Speirs Gumley a couple of years ago. Whilst with SG, I had a point of contact who I could email with any issues - they were extremely prompt at acknowledging and resolving any concerns. Since DJ Alexander took over, the service has hit rock bottom. They use a portal to report issues, and you can add things to it that just sit as "reported to agent" for weeks with no movement and no communication from them. You can try emailing them, but you'll likely be ignored, or they'll just ask you to use the portal. They actively try to distance themselves from you as a paying tenant, and hide behind lead times and "procedures" instead of actually trying to help you, despite that being their actual job. As a property management company, from the perspective of a tenant, they are truly abysmal and I am looking forward to moving on from here so I don't need to deal with them again.

Even one star is not worth. They charge you for reference check (not legal). Before moving in the property, they have not checked the status and now charges me for mould that already generated by previous tenants. They will charge you £500 off of your deposit when you move out. Total garage non sense company.

Would give less than a star if I could, but required to include one to review. Uses a really invasive third party AI-based referencing system that auto-generated so many email requests for references BOTH my jobs complained, and essentially unless you consent to give invasive access to your private banking, up to four times a day for up to 90 days, you're getting rejected anyway. It's laughable when some admin assistant on minimum wage is trying to claim you can't afford the property. Extremely unprofessional outfit. Don't waste your time or energy. The flat was absolutely not worth the hassle and I just pulled out after 3 weeks.

The incompetence of the agency and their staff is absolutely appalling. I’ve been renting through them for about 2.5 years now and this will be the last time once I found another property. I’d suggest anyone to stay away from them if you value your time and money. The repairs are taking months to be completed the joiners they work with lack of competence to even get the smallest repairs completed. I have reported a few small issues almost 3 months ago and yet nothing has been done. Even when you submit the repair request they have a nerve to question if the repair is necessary such as replacing a mouldy shower sealant after living in the property for almost 3 years. I have also reported an issue with the rats outside the property last year and they said that nothing can be done about it because the SOURCE is another office building, which is a few meters away. This is not only a very unpleasant issue but also it can be very dangerous as rats can carry many sort of diseases. I never thought that living in the Edinburgh city centre and paying a massive amount of money for rent would have to deal with such problems. One of their managers Annabelle Brockwell should be fired for the way she speaks with customers and the lies she’s making up. I will be reporting this agency and also seek a legal advise for the breach of the contract. Absolute joke of the agency. UPDATE! I find it absolutely weird and creepy that the manager I have noted in my original review keeps looking at my profile on LinkedIn or even had a nerve to look me up in the first place after I left the review. Absolutely ridiculous how unprofessional your staff is and who you employ.

They’re horrible after end of tenancy. They ask hell lot of charges for cleaning. It looks like harassment in the name of cleaning. Their cleaners quote different amount before end of tenancy but after your tenancy will end this gets inflated to exorbitant amount. Please avoid them . You’ll get email from Louis after end of tenancy and would never come back with clear communications.

I rented a flat from DJ Alexander for almost four years and have had numerous issues along the way - I would highly advise anyone to stay away from this letting agency. Issues have included the check-in process (20+ inaccuracies on the initial inventory), long delays before any response from the maintenance team about ongoing issues like mice and mould and there being a lack of response/follow-up throughout the years (felt like I needed to phone Xavier many many times to get any response), it taking a full year for a shower to be fixed (despite multiple 'inspection visits to check the issue' that I had to stay home from work for), being told by Leno I was in the wrong for paying the amount of final rent that had been agreed, numerous inaccuracies again with the check-out report (like them trying to charge me for leaving the landlord's items in a cupboard, being charged a three hour cleaning fee as that is the minimum amount even though I had already thoroughly cleaned the flat myself, and significant delays in getting my deposit back. It has been a horrendous experience where my landlord was allowed to get away with things like not responding or taking their responsibilities in regards to issues serious for over a week on multiple times. Natalie was the only member that I have had some positive experiences with when she fixed issues that others had caused.

Had a viewing booked for the 11th of October. Booking was made on the 1st which was strange enough but the only slot available I proceeded to drive from England to Scotland for this viewing only to be called an hour before the booking to say the landlord had given it someone else and there was no viewing for me to attend. A sputter of the word sorry came out with no offers of other properties. No I’ll be in touch in 10 minutes with alternatives. I just had to drive back to England after just arriving for no reason.
