Do not buy a house from this company.While sales were naturally lovely people, their customer service once you've bought the home is non-existent. If you have problems, which you inevitably will, they'll ignore you, they can be rude, patronising, and unsympathetic. I recommend you do not buy a home from Countryside and instead look for a different developer. Good luck and be careful, buying a home is a big deal, a huge financial investment and life decision. Countryside does not respect that and takes your business for granted.

When the 2 year warranty is over they completely wipe their hands of you. The NHBC certificate isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. They also leave you with a maintenance company that do absolutely nothing and charge you £200 for it. And if you complain and say you’re not paying they add £170 admin fee to the yearly fee. Our estate looks like a jungle and the dog bins are never emptied. The pathways on the estate are all cracking and the park that was supposed to be finished 2 years ago still hasn’t been done and they are still charging us for the maintenance for the park. Do not buy a house from countryside you will regret it. We have been here just over two years and the roof tiles have started to fall off already. Countryside are not interested and the NHBC won’t do anything unless the rain starts to damage the inside of the property. We thought this would be our last move but we are now having to put the house on the market. Please do not fall into the trap we are in and completely avoid countryside they really are a joke of a company

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the way Countryside has handled a severe leakage issue in my flat.Since Sunday afternoon, I have been dealing with an escalating leak that has caused extensive damage to my property. Despite numerous calls and a scheduled visit from POD, the issue remains unresolved. The leak is sewage water, which I have had to clean up every hour, posing significant health risks and making my flat uninhabitable.The plumbers sent by POD were unable to locate the source of the leak and were ill-equipped to handle the situation. Communication has been appalling, with delays in accessing necessary flats and a complete lack of updates. As of this afternoon, POD has stopped answering my calls, leaving me in a state of distress and uncertainty.The building’s poor construction quality is evident, and the inadequate response from Countryside has only exacerbated the situation. This level of service is unacceptable, and I strongly advise potential buyers to think twice before investing in a property managed by Countryside.I hope this review prompts Countryside to take immediate and effective action to resolve this issue and prevent such distressing experiences for other residents.Sincerely,Halcyon, Freshwharf estates, Barking

Sadly, it doesn’t let me pick no stars. They took my reservation fee, I then paid for fixtures and fittings and my solicitor informed me that they had been withholding documents. When chasing this it turns out those documents were the declaration of Japanese Knotweed across the site and also that they had sold 27 houses on this ‘private estate’ to the house association. They did this under the table and requested my deposit prior to this. Complete misrepresentation of what was being sold. They also haven’t refunded me the money they told me I would receive…it’s now been a month.

Aftercare at Customer Services and emergency out of hours just do not respond. Alarms have been going off in un-occupied properties for over 48 hours because the Staff are incapable of opening a window after painting. Smoke alarms have been going off in multiple un-sold properties for days without any action from countryside. Multiple complaints have been made by multiple people on the development and all we're told is 'it's been escalated'. Escalated for 48 hours means that nothing has been done.

Purchased a house in Bishops Stortford via Countryside and moved in December 2022.Initially a couple of snags which we raised were fixed i.e. missing door stops, chipped paint.However several others we're raised and addressed by the Countryside team, promised to be corrected and never fixed which I will explain below.Snowy and Icey weather in December 2022 means our front and back lawn has sunk in several places, which was promised to be fixed but still to this day isn't fixed - 16 months later.On top of this, our garden is running at a slope, our house is one foot higher than the lower part of our garden.Approx. 25% of our shrubs died in this weather and were never replaced, again we were also promised this.Poor pluming and drainage in guest room shower; plumbers have looked at this twice and the issue still occurs, water rises and the toilet in that room doesn't flush well. Often taken 2-3 flushes to flush some tissue paper.Floor; I don't know how many times I've mentioned the paint and glue splashes on the floor since we moved which has been promised to be cleaned on several occasions but still never actioned.On-top of this, the customer service team generally never respond to your emails, calls or voicemails.Overall, Very disappointed from this 5-star builder and I would not recommend them.

Very rude behaviour from countryside staff especially at Chelmsford and they are targeting very specific people and provide appointments only to them and ignore the rest and close the door and doesn’t even have courtesy to speak to buyers when they walk in at Bealeau Chelmsford both Gate and Heath. If you think this is not true why not pop into their office and see for yourself and also email them and you won’t get a response.Companies like this should be fined as they rip off customers money and behave rude this way. Beware of this developer and double and triple check before committing to buy the property here. They are behaving very rude because there seems to be people showing interest in Beauleau and cherry picking who they want to provide the appointment.

I moved in Countryside home in April 2022, which is 2 years ago.I'm frustrated with my unfinished front garden since 2 years ago I moved in. Upon moving in, it became apparent that the front landscaping remained unfinished, seemingly still a part of the construction site. Despite I requested and urged, they keep asking what the problem is. So, to my understanding, they regard the front garden should be leaving unfinished as normal.Later, I tried to do this by myself. Unfortunately, recent activity by the subcontractor, Lambe, has exacerbated the situation. Their work nearby resulted in further damage to my front garden, destroying all my shrubs. This isn't the first time I've reported such damage from construction activities. When they completed the road digging one day, they can dig it again in the second day, which shows no planning for their works.Most importantly, it drives me crazy, they kept digging the road in 2 years. It’s totally my fault to purchase a property from Countryside, totally not their fault.

The worst experience purchasing a property through Countryside!!!Whatever you do, save yourself years and years of hassle and look elsewhere. When I first purchased the property a snagging surveyor identified over 70 snags, on a new build!!!There has been a constant leak in the car park since the property was purchased in 2017, it is now the 1st May 2024 and they are still making excuses around finding the fault and fixing the fault. For a good majority of this time, they have ripped up our communal areas and left the site like a tip!Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay clear, they are beyond incompetent which an extremely high turnover of staff which also helps the complete nightmare!

We did search and enquired about a couple of development sites and theirnew home specifications, purchase price etc. We had some good and bad experiences from a few builder responses! However, we got in contactwith Pam Johal the Sales Executive at Millfields countrysidehomes in the month ofJanuary 2024! During our first phone conversation with Pam Johal, Kindly mentioned to me that I need to visit the site in person to get a better understanding about new home details by making enough time myself. As it is a BIG move and Purchase. However,Pam answered all our queries and questions over couple of phone calls, by providing full details about the countryside new home, that us built initial confidence! During our site visit the show homes and constructions, civil engineering plans attracted us a lot! Out of which TOP one is the kitchen and fittings they made it unique compared toother builders along with energy saver natural brightness to the new home via sky light windows! Alongside of mine, my wife andkid just liked it as well! However, at that time we did not have readily availableplots for our affordability! So, we did mention to Pam please reach out wheneverthe new plots were released! So, kind of Pam that she kept us with the newly released plot details. Gave us enough time to select a plot by sharing all the requested information. That time we had a great confidence that enabled me to reserve oneof the detached ‘3’ bed NEW HOME. So far, all new home purchasing process going smoothly. Looking forward to new home building completion and occupancy! Hopefully I will be able to share moredetails about our living in new home experiences soon! These mugs. Disgraceful, we purchased our first property with them (as you can imagine first property is so exciting) in December 2023, seriously since we’ve moved in I have experienced nothing but problems and I mean that. The site manager, texted me every single to BUGGING me to do this NHBC SHI*E survey, and when I say every day I really mean it. Every single day. So I eventually give in and did it, after I did it… he honestly had ghosted me. No snags done yet, after moving in in our home I found 4 MASSIVE HOLES in our walls behind our radiators. Honestly, how can people look at them holes and think yeah they won’t notice them? If I could show you a photo I would, I am wounded. I can’t believe there are people in the world who would look at that and think yep f the people who buy this house. My head hurts, my heart hurts and I really mean it I genuinely feel so gutted, so much for the excitement for our first home. 😔 thanks and I really hope if you read this to think twice about buying with countryside and also think about us, I am close to giving up if I’m being honest in life. Shoddy builders house is awful garden has no drainage and has been constantly flooded the year we've been here countryside refusing responsibility. Stair case has cracked away from the wall all the way up, outside walls have a clear curve in the brickwork rather than being a straight line as you'd expect. House layout design is poor! And just to add the builders are vile both me and a neighbour have had massive vet bills due to builders booting our cats in the back with their heavy boots resulting in broken hips. Again refuse to accept responsibility absolute set of clowns working on these sites!
