We bought our property and moved in June 2022. The quality of the build was good. However, we have had a few issues including cracking (more than settling cracks), severe creaking flooring (they refuse to fix) and mortar left in our plumbing causing blockages and damage. They removed the mortar but that was it. But the final thing that has tipped it over the edge is the safety of the development. We have zero pavements on our road and blind corners when pulling out. This is severely dangerous. They have acknowledged how dangerous this is and initially agreed to put in a mirror however after months of waiting they informed us it had been ordered and would be fitting it shortly. Weeks later then then email to say they now won't fit it. This has led me to believe we have been lied to about the mirror the whole time. Safety is not a priority for countryside (now vistry) and sadly it will likely result in someone being hit and seriously injured. I sadly would not recommend soley on the basis of how dangerous it is to walk my infant child down the road or leave the road without a collision.

Absolutely disgraceful company they…
Absolutely disgraceful company they lie, and lie, to you and never get back to you, they ignore all your calls. when your on one of their schemes to buy a property half way through they put the house price up another 28 thousand pounds, I'm telling anybody who tries to buy a home off these people you will be stressed to the eye balls don't just take my words for it look up other people's reviews on country homes absolutely disgraceful the way they treat you, if your unlucky enough to actually buy a home the stress levels go through the roof!! the sales representative in Fletton Folly 'well she's absolutely useless she lies so much you can actually see her nose grow don't buy a country home you have been warned.

We purchased a new build in Brookfield…
We purchased a new build in Brookfield Estate and from the sales team and builders, Michelle, Phil & Paul were so accommodating on every aspect of the build from start to finish, the new home is extremely warm in these cold months, thankyou from Mike and Amanda

Choose a different housebuilder
I believe one star is appropriate. The house we purchased itself is stunning however has been plagued with issues. Constant leaks in skylights, cracks in garage floor and water seeping in through the ground, garden was a deathtrap - just to name a few issues. The repairs are shoddy and do not actually fix the issues. 18 months of living here and still experiencing issues. Sales mis-sold the property and lied about certain elements of the site just to get the sale. Surveyors come out to investigate issues, tell the homeowner what will be included in the report and then after sales 'customer service' accuse you of lying about what was discussed. After sales care is sub-par and they do not care about the stress that they cause when their customers have spent hundreds of thousands purchasing their homes. The homes are not built to the high standard you are promised, you'll see this from the other reviews. This housebuilder should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!

I will never buy another home from Countryside.
Poor build quality and the worst customer care team I have ever had the misfortune to come across.

Absolute Nightmare - Countryside Sold Us a Mouse-Infested Disaster!
I would give Countryside zero stars if I could! Buying a house from them has been nothing short of a living nightmare. Our home has become overrun with mice, and we're not the only ones suffering, our neighbours at 10B and 10D are dealing with the same horrific problem. It's clear that Countryside is selling shoddy, poorly built homes that are infested from the start. The level of infestation is disgusting. We've found mice droppings all over the house, to the point where my baby almost ate some. The health and safety of my family have been completely jeopardised, and Countryside couldn't care less. The thought of my children being exposed to this filth is sickening, and the company has done absolutely nothing to fix it. They are endangering our lives and our children's lives! This company is a complete scam, they take your money, sell you a substandard, dangerous property, and leave you to deal with the consequences. It's disgraceful! If you're considering buying from Countryside, RUN! They're more interested in profit than delivering a safe, livable home. We are already in discussions with other affected neighbours about taking legal action, and I will make sure to spread the word on every platform possible about how truly terrible Countryside is.Avoid Countryside at all costs unless you want to be living in a rodent-infested death trap! They are incompetent, negligent, and have sold us nothing but misery. Absolutely DISGUSTING company!

Great service
Had a great experience buying a new build from countryside homes. Justine at calico grove was really nice and always helped us with anything we needed. Really happy with our home and the services we received.

Inaccurate Sustainability Policy
Inaccurate Sustainability Policy - Shockingly bad companyVistry/Linden/ Counrtyside/Bovis whoever you are - If it were possible to give you zero stars I would.Your Sustainability Policy states:We will place people and communities at the heartof our decision-making process and build sustainablecommunities that last and flourish. To ensure thateveryone’s needs remain central, we follow theVistry “Building Communities” approach, frommaster-planning and design, through to buildingand aftercare, working closely with communities andstakeholders throughout the development journey. To achieve this, we will carry out placemaking focused engagement with local communities and localcouncils and develop an approach to post occupancyevaluation to ensure a cycle of continual learningTo safeguard nature, we will work towards ensuringbiodiversity action plans are in place on all projectsand maintain relationships with Conservationorganisations..Focused engagement with local communities - what a joke. We, the residents of Glen Parva has asked for your attention to our concerns over the last few months whilst you construct a site of 165 homes on a previous landfill site. We have repeatedly asked for analysis of the dust that coats our homes, our cars and our children's lungs ! we want to know what is in it because we know what is in the ground below your site and what is being released into the air because of the work you are currently undertaking. Why won't you meet with us to discuss these concerns - where is your promised 'focused engagement with local communities' ? What an absolute shower of reckless constructors you are; and judging by the reviews on here, there won't be any aftercare for the poor souls that buy these properties, once ready for sale...Absolutely shocking - DO NOT BUY THEM

The most shocking company to deal with
The most shocking company to deal with. We looked at a shared ownership which clearly stated 10%- 75% and refused to give 25% stating that only 50% was available… 2 weeks of trying to get it sorted (they have no processes and are a shambles of a company) help to buy?? More like give and take away - appalling service. If I could give minus stars I would.

Tons of quality issue with mold/fungi/water leak
Terrible quality of Countryside properties. But this company would first blame the owner for maintenance problem whenever an issue is reported during warranty period. Major defects found in my house and my neighbours’ include:(1) Gaps found in loft and normal people can see lights coming from the outside; (see my profile picture) (2) Mold and fungi growing on dividing boards in the loft: (3) Gutter NOT sealed! Water leak leads to moss on bricks;(4) Mold on garden fences;(5) Water leakage from terrace that ruined the kitchen ceiling. But they were not able to find the root cause. Water leak continue after first attempt to fix it.(6) Extract vent ducting inside the loft was NOT attached (7) Broken garden shed;(8) Water leak from toilets:(9) Swelled amtico flooring;(10) Boiler flue not cemented;(11) Obvious scratches on window glass. (12) Unfinished patio door(13) Insulation missing on one side of the wall inside the loft(14) Steel straps that secure the timber roof structure NOT attached(15) Roof clips MISSINGI believe Countryside knew there have been mold in my loft just like my neighbors’. The mold should be due to mishandling of building work procedures/ substandard material. And my neighbours spent months to negotiate with Countryside before they arranged to replace the dividing boards and re-install extract vents. And the weeks of remedial work inside the house caused huge disturbance. Countryside would not repair anything if the owner does not file a report in details, item by item, even the defects are obvious in the plain sight. In addition, Countryside emailed me two days after completion that I had to submit a snag list within three days of completion!!! I had less than 24 hours to prepare a snag list! Countryside is an unethical construction company using substandard material and poor workmanship. Countrysidepartnerships is part of Vistry Group.

Countryside’s Neglect and Poor Service at The Colleys
Countryside’s care seems to extend only to the show homes and the areas immediately surrounding them, while the rest of The Colleys development in Grantham is left in a disgraceful state. Although they are supposed to maintain the green spaces that haven’t yet been handed over to the management company, something they proudly claim in their ‘lovely and welcoming’ newsletter on their website, they have done absolutely nothing.I’ve repeatedly contacted Countryside throughout the summer about this issue, but all I’ve received are empty promises like, “We are looking into this.” Months have passed, and their continued inaction speaks volumes. I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with their complete lack of responsibility and service.
Thank you for leaving your positive feedback with us. Its great to hear we were able to assist. We will ensure this is passed on to the team internally.

Avoid Avoid Avoid
Buyers beware when purchasing a property from this horrific company, almost completed a purchase at the new Brook Mill Meadow development in Warton Warwickshire . Thank goodness for our legal team who professionally alerted something was not quite right! Only days before we were due to complete our purchase, countrysides legal team stopped responding and failed to answer enquiries made by our solicitor. It would be wrong of me to publish on here what speculation I have been told and what they are potentially trying to hide ! as i cannot guarantee it is complete truth . However what I can categoricaly say with complete certainty is that the way in which countryside turned on us , the brutality in the way we were treated when our concerns were raised does confirm that this so called great developer is probably the worst you could wish to ever do business with . They honestly treated us, the paying customer like they were doing us a favour, when in fact it’s laughable really considering every single house on the development is now reduced and it appears they cannot give these houses away! . I suspect there are reasons that you will never know if you use countrysides legal team. As previously stated by so many people on this platform seriously think twice before you buy a property from this company ,buying a new home is stressful, they have no value what so ever for there customers and as previously said by so many others, save you hard earned money and sanity and spend it on a house built by a different company with a better build quality and a higher moral compass !

Avoid like the plague!
Avoid like the plague!! Where do I start, we had commenced proceedings at BrookMill Meadows development in Warton, however through no fault of our own we were unable to complete on the planned date, we then received threatening/abrupt emails from the so called lovely sales team threatening the house would be re marketed if we did not complete on this date. Whilst we were initially extremely disappointed, we now thank our lucky stars we did not complete the purchase, the so called finished property is not finished at all. The decorative pillars are still not insitue to the front of the house, the beautiful plants and shrubs planted in the front garden are dead and neglected as is all the grass surrounding the property, outstanding work has clearly not been completed as promised my God if this how they neglect the development whilst they have barely sold any houses , imagine how they conduct themselves when the houses are sold and they are off site, we were lied to regarding the road access amongst many other things. We are so embarrassed that we did not carry out our due diligence before entertaining this developer , I have never felt so strongly to leave a review to protect others from this awful company, please don't get sucked in like we did, be wary of the smily face!! And trust the reviews on here !!!

Quick to deal with snags
Bought a Linden Home and snags are dealt through Countryside. They're usually pretty fast to respond and send someone out. The only issues I've had are when it's using another company, such as the window company, not directly Vistry/Countryside.

Appalling service, worst ever experience with a house builder
Countryside Homes have treated me appallingly from the start. We reserved a new build plot with them, then about a month later, despite our reservation, they put the plot in a buying scheme, which meant we could no longer buy it. We chose another plot and, 3 months later, without any kind of discussion or notification with/to me, they sold it to someone else. Again. So, twice in a row, we reserved a plot with them and they just sold it from under us. Over three months, I made multiple attempts to contact Countryside, to discuss our arrangements. They wanted me to reduce the price of our house, which I said I was open to, but then they continued to ignore me and not return calls or answer emails, so we had zero contact or discussion. I called their offices and was told they’d get back to me, but they didn’t. I sent emails and they were all ignored, from the local sales rep right up to their head of sales. They used an intermediary, ‘Move with Us’, and while they were more responsive to me, they never managed to persuade Countryside Homes to actually contact me.In short, Countryside Homes are extremely unprofessional and you cannot trust anything they say, in my experience. My advice would be to have nothing to do with them, there are a lot of their competitors who will treat you with some respect.

Do not buy from this developer
++++ EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED +++ Do not buy a house from Countryside, specifically at; The Paddocks, Braintree Essex. While sales folks were lovely people but once you are under the care of the customer service team ( circa 8 weeks post moving in) they are a complete a joke. If you have problems, which you inevitably will, the customer service team never call you back, they rely solely on emails and issue a standard 72 hour auto response email to all enquiries!

I regret buying my first home from this developer
My experience with customer service is terrible. I have sent multiple requests to repair a leak in the water drain and no one responded. The wall is damaged due to the water leakage. I have sent pictures to the customer service team.

This is not my first new build home
This is not my first new build home, so I would consider myself an experienced customer. 2 months in and I have been thoroughly impressed with the home, design, layout and build quality. The site team have been attentive and were proactive and present during my sales journey. I have felt valued as a customer and genuine care for the ‘plot’ that has now become our home. The move was made easier by a scheme and we were pleased with the incentive. The online portal was very useful during the sale to refer to plans and documents. The site location of Kingmakers View, is exceptional, the street scene and place making are already taking shape. Special thanks should go to Jason and Olympia - the site team. A great build with care and attention, every hiccup or concern dealt with swiftly and professionally, with a keen eye for the little details which assures me that the bigger things are definitely taken care of! Congratulations Countryside, these two are a huge asset to your team, and I would definitely recommend you to friends and family.

DO NOT BUY A COUNTRYSIDE HOME!
The process of actually buying our house and the sales team were very lovely people. HOWEVER, the aftercare and customer service following moving into the property is horrendous! We were literally bribed for a good survey, they would complete snags and works for us that needed doing on the house if we gave them a good survey. As soon as the houses were handed over and we moved in, Countryside literally disappeared. The aftercare team were non-existent, there were no follow ups and work has been left uncompleted nearly 2 years later!!!The state they left the new build estate in was horrific and still is now, again nearly 2 YEARS LATER. The roads on our estate haven't been finished and neither have the pathways. The kerbs have piles of sharp bricks piled up to them that have just been brushed to the sides of the road. It is the most dangerous place for kids to even walk, let alone play! As for the park...the laziest job I ever did see. They didn't even the ground out and laid grass down...with how awful the council is at keeping on top of things why you would lay grass down on a park I do not know. There is never any children on this park and it cannot be used as it is so overgrown and uneven land, you could literally break your ankle with the holes in the ground. Sure it's up to the council to keep on top of it but Countryside did an extremely lazy job in the first place, it's a disgrace!!The road out the front of our house is only just being done...2 years later. But the roads and paths are on our estate are still unsafe and incomplete. Fancy buying a new build property on a brand new estate and not being able to go out for a walk with your kids around it? I can't even count the amount of houses already sold or gone up for sale on our estate, it's such a shame as it's in a great location, however the surroundings of the estate, the roads, the paths the park, the greenery are all unsafe, overgrown and just miserable. There is no sign or evidence to say these works are even going to be completed, no dates set, no communication - NOTHING. Every time I make contact I just get told someone will call me back - they never do. There are much better new home providers than Countryside, as much as the buying process is easy and the sales team is great as soon as you have your house the company simply disappear and leave your estate unfished, incomplete and quite frankly dangerous. Choose a different provider!!
