Developer who disregard the safety of their residents

I would like to express my dissatisfaction to developer Countryside Homes UK, which is the part of Vistry Group, as the company has delayed the promised construction for over six months, we can’t use our garden over half an year, and cause us feel dangerous and anxious. If arrangements cannot be made for me shortly, I will publish the property address and hope that investors will reconsider this company.

Very Disappointed - subsidence occurred, caused damages but not managed

I seldom make comments on Trustpilot. Subsidence occurred at the car parking space adjacent to my garden, caused cracks and damages to almost all the gravel boards of the fence. They bended inward and the fence posts are inclined. This impose immediate danger to me and my family members especially to my child. Countryside has admit that there is an design issue there which has caused the issue - gravel boards have failed. There is approx 450mm of ground which needs additional support. Their customer service department has spent more than 7 months to communicate but no remediation works have been done to address this. If the fence posts fall down and hurt someone, who will bear the responsibility? They just neglect or ignore the danger. Customer Service just keep saying it has been escalated to the management and they will contact me but so far, I have not heard anything from their management. I feel totally helpless. My garden cannot be used for the whole summer. My living room is messed with stuff originally put in the shed. This is really annoying and we feel unsafe whenever going through / into the garden.

She told me properties were not available until December this year meanwhile they were advertising for houses that were available to move in, in June. How rude? We purchased a new build property last…

We purchased a new build property last May day. 2 The house was flooded because the shower trap in the en suite was not connected properly. The ceilings lights smoke alarms were all full of water. It took them months to do the job properly. They wanted to send a laborer I’m not a painter to patch you up. The back garden is like a Bog the soffit boards on the back of the house and not fitted to the brick properly and have a large gap. We have reported this for months and still not got any anyway the properties in Goshawk drive Maghull I’m not very good build to continuing to build new properties. I would seriously think twice before purchasing one of them as they have to sale is appalling did the cracks in the ceilings what is still ongoing being fixed they give you a two year warranty, which is not worth the paper it’s written on. We have wagons from 7 AM of the morning in and out covering the cars with just the driveway is a disgrace because of the mud coming off the road as you drive onto the path you carry in the mud into the house so if you’re thinking of buying it asked someone who lives there first

Terrible, rushed us to buy and put a bow on the door stating it was conpleted after reporting the snaggings two weeks prior at least. Snaggings took months to do and still dragged their feet until the take over from the other company. Then, apparently they had no record if any snaggings reported, another delay on our warranty. They are very quick to wash their hands of doing any work including maintenance that their contractors did less than half a job. While in warranty the contractor did reported that it was a big job and didnt want to come back! Get your own electrician, plumber to check the works prior to save the hasstle as we are still having electric issues that were to be fixed in the warranty rather than using the wrong contractor that has no experience in the relevant field and dragging out the warranty time period. Safety is an issue to the development requiring a convex mirror for blind spots, but instead a bike sign is put in the very position requested. If you buy, dont expect much from them from start to finish. I think that sums it up in a nutshell!

All the negative reviews are so true. Do not buy a property from this company, they lie to you, with the worst customer service ever. There sites have many problems, pipe blockages etc and they do not want to know or deal with the problem. The minute you purchase the property they are no longer interested. Avoid them like the plague they are that bad

Great after-service

I moved in last year and throughout the process, I’ve been impressed with the excellent after-service. A special mention goes to Andrea Smith, the customer coordinator at Vistry Group. She always responds promptly to emails and provides consistent follow-ups. Initially, I was concerned that switching to Vistry Group could lead to issues but I can now saying that there’s no reason to worry. Warning to Potential Buyers!!!!

I regret purchasing my home from Countryside. Initially, everything seems fine, but the problems start after you complete the purchase. The company shows little respect for their customers. I've faced numerous issues that should have been resolved before the handover.Despite claiming to be customer-focused, they don't take you seriously. I've had a sub-floor issue since moving in, reported it early on, and a year later, it's still unresolved. Contractors inspect but blame each other, and no one takes accountability. They closed my case, claiming the floor was within tolerance, advising me to contact NHBC if dissatisfied. An independent survey confirmed the floor was not within tolerance and found other major non-compliances.If you can't back out of your purchase, I strongly recommend an independent survey before moving in. I've been lied to and given empty promises. They handle identical issues for others but try to avoid fixing mine. I've had recurring drainage problems, initially dismissed as a one-off. They clear the blockages but deflect addressing the root cause.If I could turn back time, I would not have bought from Countryside. Consider this a warning if you're thinking about purchasing from them.
