We can’t believe we have managed to reserve our first home when we aren’t even allowed out the house to go to meetings etc. Our sales advisor Angie has been absolutely amazing, answering all our questions big and small, and supporting us as first time buyers.We are not aware of all the stages involved in buying a house and she gave us plenty of recommendations of people to get in touch with etc to make the whole process run smoothly.Still a few steps to go before our new home is finished but we are over the worst bit now thanks to countryside and Angie!

Reserved our home in the middle of a pandemic!

Thanks to the excellent support from this company, in particular Angie, me and my boyfriend have managed to reserved our dream home in the middle of this pandemic. Whilst we have not been able to view the property in person, Angie answered all of our questions happily, and provided us with all of the photos and details we needed to help make our decision.Nothing was too much to ask of her and we are truly helpful for her help during such an exciting yet scary time in our lives. Amazing and supportive sales team

From the moment we came to see the first Countryside showhome we knew we would definitely buy a countryside home. Great finishings and lots of additional features that are not offered by any other company!Process:The whole purchase process could not be any smoother! Once we have reserved the property, we had a slight delay from our side due to personal circumstances. Despite deadlines, Countryside still honoured our booking and helped us all the way through! Special thanks to Penny, the sales agent, who has been extremely supportive and helpful from the viewing day up to the moving in. Thanks to Billie from the progressions team. And of course, many thanks to Lee, our financial advisor, recommended by the Countryside, who has secured us a great mortgage deal.Location:Wow, what a beautiful area this is! The developed lays just opposite to a massive, naturally kept park, with two ponds for fishing. Excellent place for walking, jogging or simply reading a book on a bench! On the other side of the development there is a forest, so you can have your morning coffee sitting in the garden and listening to the chirping birds! With only 2 minutes drive, there is also a local plant nursery with fresh fruit, veg and eggs - all organic! And it only takes 5 minutes to drive to the nearest Aldi, Tesco and Lidl.25 mins to Manchester, Liverpool. If you are a fan of cycling, long walks or simply nature - this is a perfect location for you!Completion:House purchase is usually stressful. Bourse purchase during the virus outbreak and lockdown - triple stress. However everyone at Countryside has made this process smooth!House:The house is stunning! We bought a Dunham and absolutely love it. Previously we saw a blyth and it was equally beautiful... What makes countryside stand out from other developers is the additional features that are included in the price. Our garden has been beautifully turfed and there is a water tap to water the plants. Penny has also given us some incentives providing the flooring throughout the house, all appliances and even contributing to the legal fees!!!After sales:As we moved in during the lockdown, the site is closed and therefore cannot comment much on the after sales. We have sent a small snagging list and been reasurred these will be addressed as soon as the team returns. We have been receiving regular emails from Penny to check on us - how reasurring it is to know that Countryside is still there for us despite the lockdown!Before we reserved our home, we had looked round other companies, but just through discussions and showhomes visits, we knew none of the companies offered same service as Countryside!Mat and Bart

Happy customer!

I’m 6 months into my new home, built in Stockport (Blackberry Point). I read some of these reviews and felt nervous so wanted to put my honest thoughts now that I’m settled. My experience has been excellent - the house is well built, the design is great, the estate is lovely and each house is slightly different which gives character. There was a small snagging list but to be fair to Countryside they got it sorted pretty quickly. There was a complication with my mortgage which Countryside were a little unforgiving over. They charged me interest each day on the value of the property - but I guess those issues weren’t their fault so I’m not too annoyed by that. There is also a bit of a drainage issue in the garden which I feel should have been thought-out by a company who builds homes. However I’m not majorly annoyed by it. So all in all I’ve arrived at 4 stars as my rating. Good customer service, a nice buying experience, friendly staff, a clear regard for post-sales service, unique & characterful designs. Every day I get home I feel chuffed to bits, so they’ve got the company strap-line bang on. In a market full of shady characters, this company is excellent in my view.

We bought a property in Hindley Green and i have nothing but good words to say. From speaking with Penny on the sales team day 1 to signing for the house and talking at length to Ian Kelley (CEO of countryside) the process was so simple and straight forward. Perfect!

We stepped into the show home at Wren Green and we knew straight away that the house was perfect for us. Angie and Lisa in the sales office were so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly - nothing was too much hassle, and every question we had was answered. They helped us choose our kitchen and flooring after many hours of bickering and indecisiveness, as well as always being welcoming whenever we dropped in for a chat every now and then after visiting our plot to check for progress.Everything was so easy and everybody I've spoken to at Countryside upto now has been nothing but helpful. Sam in the Sales Progression team was excellent on the lead up to our exchange of contracts, she was very understanding and flexible when needed to be, and it was reassurring to know that I had a dedicated member of the team looking after our purchase, so if I ever had a problem I had one person to call and I could rest assured it was all being taken care of.We're now in our new home and it's perfect, it is everything we could have ever wished for and we still can't believe we've got such a lovely house as a first home!

Our Dream home

We bought our dream home through countryside and have been blown away throughout the whole process and are in love with our new family home.When we attended the sales office we were met with Martin and Rachael who answered all of our questions and were with us every step of the way from show home viewing to choosing our carpets.The site manager graham talking us through various things when we visited during building was fab.Billie in the main office was amazing, we had a nightmare with the chain through selling our house and she supported out solicitors and estate agents in chasing everything and keeping us informed. If it wasn’t for billie we may have just let our dream home go. Thanks to her we got our house.Since moving in Connor and Craig have been amazing putting right any snags (which there have been very few of) they have been more than happy to come in and put things right and have always come when they said they would. If you keep in mind just how many properties they are on our site and there is just a handful of them resolving any problems the timescales are incredible.We have had the best experience which is the polar opposite to our last new build experience with another developer. We would 100% recommend countryside. The finish to the houses and attention to detail along with the added extras you get is another level.Thank you to everyone mentioned above for making our experience amazing and for building and supporting us in getting our dream home.

Wilson Chase - Terrible build quality and Rat infestation!

I bought a new home on the Wilson Chase development in Liverpool in September 2019 and it has been a disaster start! Our back garden resembles a lake after only a shower of rain due to the builders not digging out the clay soil and using top soil when laying the turf. I have patio doors that have gaps in them big enough almost that my cat can get in and out without me opening the doors! Plasterwork resembles a roller coaster of a ride in most bedrooms and when the wind blows I fear for my roof. The whole development, due to the disruption of the rat habitat has a bad rat infestation, the council are aware and are writing to the developer to put a pest control protocol in place, which should have been done from the start. The council are fed up of calls reporting rats on the development. If you call customer service and nothing ever happens the site management team should be sacked for letting the sub contractors get away with shoddy workmanship! Am I being picky or am I just wanting what I paid for?

Always horrible to deal with defect team as they don't want to take any responsibility in poor fittings. We bought our new built flat 1 year ago and had so many issues some of them they fixed after months of asking!! Wall around windows going bad just year later the building was built! They telling this is owners problem!!

Poor customer service

What can I say? Awful customer service after viewing a large showhome in Bishop's Stortford recently and expressed an interest in buying it. Was met by a very grouchy lady in the office who told me I couldn't actually buy it as it wasn't for sale! What a.waste of time. I asked if more of this style house was planned to be built in another phase. "Yes, but not until mid 2021". "Could you keep me posted?" No, you'll just have to check your emails!" Totally gobsmacked. Daughter and I couldn't believe this person was in sales. I'll keep my cash then....Probably a lucky escape after looking at the other Countryside reviews.

What a whirlwind couple of days, resulting in completing our reservation for a new build on the Dutton Field development.The whole experience from the very first time of speaking to and meeting Annabel their sales consultant was a pleasure.Annabel has made the whole process to date very informative, helpful and more important kept us up to date with the new builds, while we were selling our home.Annabel, took all the time we needed to complete the reservation process, explaining all about the build process of our new home, what's included etc even given time to choose our new kitchen. We purchased a new build from Countryside and as this was the first time we had brought a new build we were slightly concerned. we need not of been as Penny and Annabel made the experience really straight forward and made us feel very valued all the way through especially as we were 250 miles away whilst it was being built they kept us informed and were happy to go measure things even the garden and checking where the best place we could put the free shed!we would definitely buy from these two ladies again and the countryside team are defiantly a team from the sales team to the site managers and the tradesmen and the customer service team we have been here a year now and they are still available if we have any concerns or questions.
