Buying a new Countryside home

I'm in the process of buying a new home from Countryside in Huyton. I'm really pleased with the property and I've been helped and supported all the way through the process by Annabel and Tara at the site sales office. They've given great advice ranging from providing a choice of solicitors and mortgage advisors through to help with choosing accessories and always with patience and a smile.The people that they have recommended have also given a great service. Do not buy from Coutryside Properties

Do not buy from Coutryside Properties. I bought one of their properties in 2014 and it is now considered unsafe due to flammable cladding issues (and currently unsaleable). Countryside have refused to take any responsibility for the issue and will not even engage leaseholders in conversation. What is even more disgusting is they continued building new homes on the same development as my property, using similar ACM cladding as used in Grenfell - even promising leaseholders at the time that it was safe and there should be no concern. They do not care that innocent leaseholders that bought their properties in good faith are now facing huge bills to fix their mistakes; they only care about a quick sale and making a tidy profit. DO NOT HAVE THE WOOL PULLED OVER YOUR EYES BY THEIR GLOSSY BROCHURES AND SNAZZY MARKETING SUITES - THIS COMPANY HAS NO MORALS. DO NOT BUY FROM COUNTRYSIDE!

From start to finish Penny and Victoria from Coppenhall place development were very helpful, nice and all around professional. Throughout the process Penny and Victoria kept us well informed and was always there to listen and help when needed.Although due to covid there was a little delay but Penny and Victoria was always there to support us. Cladding and fire safety issues

I bought my flat in good faith after conducting all the necessary surveys. It now transpires we have highly flammable cladding and no cavity breaks on our building. Countryside have washed their hands of us and are evasive when asked for additional information that could help us. Do not buy a flat that this company has built.

5 stars, excellent experience!

We bought a 3 bedroom townhouse at Beam Park, Rainham, originally reserving in August 2019 and completing in December 2020 and we cannot fault the entire Countryside team. The customer service team were amazing from start to finish. Steven Sparks in particular really went the extra mile for us to ensure that we were still able to purchase our home due to complications we were experiencing because of the covid situation. Richard, Lindsay and Yvette have all been brilliant and very helpful too. We were kept completely up to date throughout the build process, sent progress pictures and the team were happy to provide us with measurements when we weren't able to physically view the property prior to our viewing and moving in. This is our first new build house and we were expecting to have to deal with a lot of snags, but we have only had a few very minor issues, all of which have been dealt with straight away. The post completion team have been brilliant at responding to any query we have around snagging and have arranged for contractors to attend and fix immediately. We are incredibly happy with the standard and quality of our house build and would 100% recommend Countryside and buy with them again. We love our new home!

Really poor customer service and aftercare

Really poor customer service and aftercare would not recommend to buy from. Reporting the same problem in my house since I moved into my house over 2 and a half years ago, all that needs doing is for a drain to be re-sloped. Neighbour next door had same issue resolved in one month. Very disheartening buying a new house and reporting issues for so long. Phone the helpline and send emails to no avail.

We have had real issues with our new…

We have had real issues with our new build. The garden is constantly flooded and smells really bad. The grass is burnt and some mud is falling down the back of the garden into the back alley. We have called them and emailed them repeatedly from November until now( March) and they are not getting back to us. NCHA aren’t much help either, as they just keep saying they have logged the job and someone will get back to you at some point.

Nice property but heating is a total reap off

The property was finished with high quality and the service received is not the best.Heating system is totally reap off. The heating in the flat are being regulated to the minimum temperature therefore allowing occupants to heat the flat longer than expected and having to pay more on heating rather than having to heat the flat at a higher temperature for a shorter period of time. I have complained and a member of staff also came to check the heating and also confirmed that the temperature was way too low and the heaters are not hot even after 3 hours of having them on.I would never buy or advise anyone I know to buy off Countryside as we are being treated like we in a Council Housing where everything is regulated and you have no control over your heating all in the name of making more money.

Cladding and building standards crisis

I bought a flat in a brand new complex by Countryside properties in good faith. We have had a fire inspection which shows our building does not have the correct fire cavity walls, has highly flammable insulation and cladding. The building would not have met fire regulations when it was built. We have had endless problems with leaks due to shoddy plumbing and now have an excess for £200,000 on our water insurance.

Your house will be nothing like the show house standards.

Whilst enquiring and buying our new countryside properties house we had no really issues at this stage but all our problems started once we completed and got the keys. The standard of the build is nothing like the show house, over all the staging list was over 150 issues. We have spent the last 9 months trying to resolve them. The problem is that you have to use their manchester help team to sort them out, the service from them is dreadful and they no longer take incoming calls and never respond to your emails. They dont care as they have you money and if you think your okay as u have nhbc warranty then ur mistaken. 9 months on and we are still waiting for building control to approve and sign off our house as their legal team lied to us st completion stage. We know it's not just us but the whole street all have problems and major ones too. Dont buy a countryside house.
