We having a terrible experience with the purchase of countryside. Still awaiting for completion date after 15 months of delays we lost our mortgage offer which was for one year 2.17% now the new one is 4.9%Black hole of wasting money. Now we even have no any other option. They never replay to the asked questions, just reply an automated email that says they received the email….. never deal with them!!!!WORST COMPANY ON THE EARTH!!!!!!!!AVOID IT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased a three bedroom house from Countryside Partnerships. From day one we had issues with our shower leaking into the living room ceiling. We had around six different engineers attend all of whom said there was an issue, took photos, said they would report to the office to follow-up. We dealt with someone called Jess at the office who every time we called always said ‘I’ll get back to you by the end of the day’ or ‘I’m just going into a meeting with my manager and I’ll call you back’ obviously every time she said this, we never ever heard back. We spent so much time phoning, emailing and chasing her for feedback. It took nine months to get our issues resolved. The customer service is a joke, absolute rubbish and the team tell you so many fibs to fob you off. We have an ongoing issue with our kitchen flooring where our table and chairs are. Countryside said they would not repair this due to us using the area for our chairs, we cannot understand their reasoning as our table and chairs are in the dining area. Again a few engineers attended all saying the flooring is not stuck down properly but they still didn’t repair it and of course our warranty is now ended. The house is lovely and we’re happy here but don’t expect help from Countryside as they just don’t care about their customers.

Terrible customer service.

I purchased a flat from Countryside. Within 1.5 years the whole flat roof needs work and I have water leaking into my main bedroom, which has meant that I can't sleep in there and I have had to turn off the electrics and sleep on the floor in my only other bedroom which is an office. It has been two weeks now, and they still have not fixed it or even attempted to. They haven't temporarily sorted alternative accommodation or sealed the leak. After calling and emailing every day for two weeks we still have not had a solution. Terrible customer service and badly built.

My dream purchase before my milestone

After the first purchase of countryside properties and the journey I have been through, I decided to purchase a second home within the same month as completion on my first one. The journey was difficult due to certain circumstances and without the help of the sales consultant Bethany Parker I wouldn’t be where I am today! From day one this lady has jumped through hoops for me and nothing is too much of an ask! I couldn’t thank Bethany enough! Both journeys have been absolutely outstanding and I highly recommend purchasing from them. She has tried her best with everything that I asked for once again it has been a great opportunity, to purchase a Countryside Home.

The day we moved in the house was not clean and the pipes under the sink were not even connected, a bucket of rubbish and spare pipes were still there. Loads of snags that after 2 years are not fixed. The heaters were not working when we moved in and so far it’s not great. Garden has no use, not been levelled, my son had a fall because of that and injured his head. One month after we moved in we had a major leak, 6 weeks in a hotel with a baby, they moved out furniture out to fix the house and destroyed everything, brand new sofa full of stains, the house was not fixed to good standards and we never been compensated for the contents. After that we had 2 other minor water leaks. Lastly I was luck to be able to smell the gas that night, coz we had a gas leak under the cooker. Just don’t buy

DO NOT BUY A FLAT FROM THIS COMPANY.I bought my first flat at their Clapton Common development last year. Since them there have been nothing but problems which are not dealt with in a satisfactory manner.My washing machine flooded the hallway ans the out of hours emergency number said "they couldn't help". We've had no heating with took weeks to fix, I'm on my third shower head, had to have my underfloor heating controls moved and fixed, a leak in the ulitity fixed, the door is CONSTANTLY broken and ive gotten locked out overnight.BUT putting all of that aside my main issue is how the residents are treated my the Customer Service team. They are rude, unresponsive, forget issues and gaslight you into thinking you are being unreasonable.DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Really disappointed by Countryside, keep delaying!!!!!

Don't buy any new build homes by Countryside. They keep delaying the house. According to my agreement, my initial legal completion is January 2023, but now it will be delayed to November 2023 with no explanation. Just 2 sentences: 'I am emailing you to advise that unfortunately due to further delays on site your property is now forecasted for Legal Completion in November 2023, Please accept our apologies for this delay.' That's all!!!!!

Horrific

Horrific. They don't fix issues with homes, their staff are rude and dishonest. Reported an electrical issue constantly since a few months after I moved in and it is still unresolved over five years later. Similar story with a leaking window. Additionally, I got my data from them recently and was able to look over how they treated a report from and myself and another block who had asked for traffic calming measures on a dangerous road corner (to protect children). the staff member had written how it was a "waste of her time" to deal with such queries! Don't know about you but I don't trust any company that doesn't care about child safety!EDIT: NHBC have since written to Countryside about the issue with my window (which was reported within warranty as accepted by the NHBC - and admitted in internal emails sent between countryside staff which I have in my possession). They have failed to reply/attend. Do not buy a home from countryside/Vistry as they will not honour their obligations under the NHBC buildmark policy, you will be left feeling at the brink of despair due to them. Please do not buy from them for your own sake.

From start to finish they was awful to…

From start to finish they was awful to deal with and get in contact with. Not one check was done properly on the property when I moved in with the back door broken waiting 6 hours for someone to come and fix it the day I lived in with all my stuff. Took months for them to send someone to the house when I pointed an anything wrong. Lied constantly throughout the agreement and when I left made up so many charges to try and keep my deposit where I have just been given back part of my deposit 10 months after I moved out. I would avoid moving in to any property which countryside are involved with at all cost due to how bad they was for the year I lived in one of there properties. The company are full of liars and they will try and keep your deposit. Not once did they try and give it back it was me fighting for it. I also left the property in better condition than when I moved in. 1 star is very generous towards the company.

Bad service

I have been extremely disappointed with the lack of follow-up on maintenance and the complete lack of response to my emails and phone calls. The service manager did visit my home once, but only walked around for a few minutes and promised to come back and take care of the issues but has never appeared again. This kind of service is unacceptable and has caused me a great deal of frustration and inconvenience

Don’t buy new build from Countryside Partnerships

I had high hopes for Countryside Partnerships, but unfortunately, they have not lived up to my expectations. Despite numerous attempts to get them to fix the snagging issues after buying their new build, they have failed to follow up and make the necessary repairs. It already took half a year and is unacceptable that a builder would neglect their responsibilities in this way, and it has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I urge anyone considering buying their new builds to think twice before entrusting them with their project. It's clear that they do not prioritize their customers' satisfaction or take pride in their work.

Parking space blocked,smashing fire doors, no replies

We bought the last flat on Chipping Barnet Brook Valley Gardens development and here are our current problems:1-They rushed us to pay all the money, but did not allow us for a home tour to see and mark the snags before moving in. Instead, we have been dealing with the bits and pieces for the past 1.5 months instead of enjoying our flat since nobody checked them properly although they had our exact moving in date.2-Our parking spot is out of use since the day we moved in and nobody told us that before we moved in. It has been surrounded by fencing although the sales manager said it was going to be opened by the first week of February. - Deadlines mean nothing to them and they just do not care about how you deal with these news. Are you having an expensive car? Just park it outside. Stolen? Not their problem.Why am paying a service charge then?3-We live right next to the fire doors and they are super heavy. Some neighbours do not know how to close them silently by using a knob and our windows shatter. No signs on the doors at all or nobody is sending an internal email. You can wake up at 5 am with a door smash. 4-No emails or updates like other developers do in every few weeks. No communication. I have been waiting for more than a week for solutions. The Problems we had throughout the mortgage process:1-The sales office put the flat back on the market without letting us know when we were going through the mortgage process. No emails, no calls, nothing. We accidentally found this out online. The sales office is a partnership with a different company and they never apologised for the stress they have caused.2-They did not exchange the flat on the agreed date and they decided to relay the whole decking and asked for 2-3 more days and did not compensate the amount we lost due to these delays.If you want to live with stress and chase people and feel like you are doing their job, buy from Countryside. If not, pick a different developer for your piece of mind.

A Good Developer

This is one of the top list developers. Their signature design of sky windows is my favorite which drives me to buy my first house in UK from them. Their sales team Lisa Wilkinson and Nicola Stout have offered me a very pleasant buying experience from Countryside. They are professional and very detailed. I can get very good support from them after I have moved in. The quality of the completed house is good. Not many minor defects are discovered by the snagging company, let alone major one. Their site manager Chris and his team especially Keith did follow up all the defects in a very speedy and detailed way. Overall I have no regret to buy my first house in UK from Countryside. The only issue is that their finance team has chosen to tell the fund not arrived so as to get off from works on time instead of processsing the completion of my plot even thoough my solicitor has double confirmed that the fund should have arrived. That made me frustrated for I have wasted the weekend and it adversely affect my moving-in plan.

Please stay away from this builder.... The amount of stress and anger they've caused is immense and they could barely care. The cutomer services team is barely able to do their job, had a techinician booked aince December to take care of snags on 1st and 2nd of March, and somehow the customer services team managed to undo this. After I called and they arranged for a contractor to come and cover some of the snags they suggested the rest of them will be tackled in May!! I'm sure the actual team are trying but the service is beyond any imaginable level.If you want to make an MD complaint it gets to the head of customer services so there is no actual point in doing so. All you get is apology emails and have to actually ask for actions to be taken on the back of complaints.The development has been abandoned since September, when they finished the last house on the estate, and the road hasn't been tarmacked to this date and more than half has no street lighting. Once they hand you the keys it's like they blacklist you. Feel bad for the customer service team as I'm sure all they hear is complaints, but the managemnt needs to take some action to improve the level of service.

Stay clear or expect problem after problem…

Honestly since buying this home there has been snag after snag and issue after issue. Everytime I have needed a snag fixed I have emailed/called countryside and given the line “we will get back to you” they don’t. You have to call them to chase everything and they say the issues are with contractors or whatever or also do not get in touch. It took them over a year to fix a leaking shower. The most recent problem is the thermostat has stopped working and there is no heat downstairs on the landings etc having called the emergency line and being 36weeks pregnant you think they would be on top of it. Not at all, 5 days in with no heat and no one coming out to fix it. I have been told several times it’s with a contractor, I was then told I have heat upstairs it’s not treated as urgent. Then I have been told I may need to buy heaters in the mean time and be reimbursed for them. Not one person has even been out to look at the thermostat to see what the problem is and if it can be fixed but contractors are “waiting for a part” If you have a problem expect a lot of “I will chase them and call you back” (they won’t) “it’s been picked up by contractors” (who aren’t willing to do the jobs so don’t) and overall “I’ll get back to you” (no one does)Stay clear and spend your money elsewhere

We bought our beautiful home from Tara Harrison at brookfield vale . She was so warm and welcoming and put us at ease straight away and always kept us informed as to what stages our house was at .Nothing was a problem for Tara , we could ring her or email and she was always there to answer any questions we had . Our house was completed on time and so far we have only found 3 minor snags . All the lads on site have been brilliant and welcoming . I would also like to give a special mention to Billie Cannon who was so good to us in getting this over the line . Billie you're an absolute star. I really cant recommend countryside enough . We love our home and if we ever did move it would only be to another countryside home . Would also like to thank Laura Pilkington for looking after us on our home demo and our completion . Stay away - awful service

In 2013 I purchased a new property in London E16 built by Countryside. After few years we started having a back surge in the bath when using dishwasher. I kept unblocking it but last year it got completely blocked. I contacted Countryside in August last year as I believed that there was something wrong with the plumbing. I sent them pictures and described the problem but they insisted to get an official report from plumber and refused to sent their own team to investigate. I eventually got a plumber who I paid for the report, in which he suggested that the gradient of the pipes is too shallow and a larger diameter pipes should have been installed. When I forwarded this to Countryside, they suddenly claimed that I could've made alternation to the original plumbing and also that they cannot help as this is now outside of their warranty. When I asked to check their original installation documents to see that no changes were made and also asked them why they haven't said at the beginning that the warranty has expired but instead insisted on the report which I had to pay for, the Customer Service manager Sian Smith sent me a generic vague response without answering my direct questions. This is after 10+ emails sent there and back. Please stay away from Countryside because once you purchase a property from them, they wash their hands off it and deny any future responsibility.

Untrustworthy company!Their referral program is pretty ridiculous. You will never get your money back, I referred 2 households but only received referral money from 1 household, all contacts disappeared. From SALES, to CS at the head office, all just to think about your property purchase and those NHBC results. There is also your upgrade items. They did less my floor upgrade but get the money. Then they want to refund the money. The person in charge always disappears. It took me half a year to recover my floor fee. Now, they still owe me more than a thousand pounds. How can such a company with no reputation build a high-quality building?
