Cannot say we are happy with the work that countryside puts out. Firstly there is shoddy work where our one toilet was not put on central to the wall, the basin stand was also put on at an angle and not straight. Carpets were dirty, towel rail is missing, snags here and there that we have reported over 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting for an appointment date no mind it being attended to! We are privately renting so countryside seems to think the private renters are future customers but all I can say from this experience and their shoddy work is we will be looking elsewhere to buy. Not to mention our guest loo radiator has been connected incorrectly to the upstairs thermostat so this needs correcting by going into our ceiling whilst we live here because someone that does this everyday couldn’t do their job properly and no one commissioned this properly. Shoddy work all round with countryside and they cannot take accountability.

Nothing but poor workmanship and lies!! Many many snags, things refused to be sorted over the last year. Our garage nearly flooded a week after moving in, they said it wasn’t an emergency, we bought sandbags to stop this. Our window needed replacing and was left unfinished with gaps for weeks. The garden was sold with a gradual slope away from the house, it was actually a significant slope right to left which cost us thousands to fix, when we complained we were told ‘plans can be deceiving’. Had ‘grasscrete’ installed by site due to our drive being inaccessible without it, 6 months later it’s damaged. They refused to replace with tarmac as said tarmac needed planning, turns out what they’re already done needs planning, which they refuse to apply for and are putting it back to grass. Imagine spending 250k on a house and you can’t park on the drive!! Stay away from countryside!!

Nothing but incompetence!! Got the borders wrong, took months of mainly ignored emails to get them to admit the mistake. Damage to property trying to fix their errors. Still unresolved, caused stress, and loss of earnings having to take time off work when they set appointments and fail to turn up! Asked for compensation which is currently being refused as 'they don't pay compensation' joke of a company avoid at all costs!

GoogleWe had a fantastic experience purchasing our first home at The Burrows from start to finish. Lynette, Senel, Carole and Jack were so helpful and accommodating whenever we had any questions regarding the build process or conveyancing. Tara has been brilliant with after care and any problems (even small ones) has been sorted very quickly. Would definitely recommend the build and the process!

Highly unprofessional builder. Lots of promises during handover and after the signing done they do not even listen to their own commitments. Any concern they asked to contact Customer Care who never pick up the phone or respond to mails. They forced me to give 10 rating both Builder feedback and NHBC then they will into may issues and will fix it. After I did that they just fixed one issue and vanished.Stay Away from this Developer.

After a lengthy phone call and some back and forth on email, we went to visit a show home that was for sale in Lincolshire today. For us this was over a 100 mile drive each way, in 32 degree heat with 2 young children. We arrived, hot and tired but excited. We weren’t even offered a drink. We looked round the house we had come to see and the others. We were told that other parties were interested, including one for a second viewing today, and that to secure it we would need to send some ID and proof of mortgage and pay a reservation fee. Before hitting the motorway home, we made the call to say we definitely wanted to go ahead. We said we would need to get the mortgage confirmation from our broker but could send the ID as soon as we got home, all good, or so we were lead to believe. As soon as we got home, I sent the ID as requested. I got an email shortly after saying ‘Sorry the property you were interested in has sold’. At no point we’re we told, after saying we definitely wanted to go ahead, that it would be a race to send everything if someone else said they wanted it after us. Add to this that my kids told me the sales manager shouted at them when me and my partner popped back into the house, because the swing round on a spinny chair. Countryside Properties, don’t market your properties for families when you could not be less family friendly. Now our kids are upset we won’t be getting our own house and we are disappointed and being strung along and wasting a day travelling around 250 miles for precisely nothing.

We bought our house nearly 3 years ago and the development is still unfinished… construction site in the middle of the plot… roads unfinished… and now we have found that development is halted due to contaminated land, as they decided not to carry out proper checks. We are unable to sell our house now as no one would be able to get a mortgage to buy it… Please choose another developer and save your money and sanity!

My partner and I moved to Sherford in June 2022 after purchasing a Bovis home. After 2 months of moving in 2 of the clauses in the transfer were broken and Bovis didn’t care at all. We have a fence on our driveway which isn’t supposed to be there in accordance with the transfer and it restricts us that much we can’t get our baby boy out the car. I have now been chasing the customer care team for the last 7 months and it is now effecting my remortgage. Paul Brodie the customer care manager has said the legal team can’t deal with a covenance due to a response they had. I was supposed to receive a phone call from their director Emma Warden-Nevins and never received that phone call. They created these clauses to protect us when we buy these houses and I feel we have bought this house under false pretences and completely left in the dark. Our house is now struggling to get a remortgage and it has effected the value of the property because the transfers have been broken.

Absolutely gutted and so disappointed to have purchased our property that has been built by this developer, the layout and design of the house is lovely but the finish is absolutely atrocious. Plaster falling off walls, carpets that don’t fit, cracking tiles in the bathroom shower and non of the defect getting fixed as the developer claiming they are cosmetic or just point blank ignoring the issue, their after sales service is non existent. We purchased a property which was formerly Millgate and then taken over and completed by Countryside and I wish we could have avoided this disaster of a development.We were all pushed to complete on our properties exceptionally quickly and on the day of completion we were offered a Waitrose Meal Deal which was on a property over £1M in value. We are now 8 months into living here and the entire building is back up in scaffolding with extensive snagging lists in every single apartment. Our basement garage needs us all to vacate and be repainted (paint is peeling), pipes are leaking and water is not draining.Customer Service never answer the phone and we have to fight for every snag to be fixed within a reasonable timeframe. When buying the property the staff made comments that I couldn’t afford the apartment and that I didn’t want to be “stretching myself thin” every month. I’ve had my kitchen repainted 3 times and still not done properly as they bring in cheap contractors to fix issues which keep snagging items on the list for ages.Everything is fixed by a “magic man” so they don’t have to replace chipped wood or tiles.Please avoid purchasing a property from Countryside - I am emailing them daily to try and fix problems on site and it is not getting any better.

Wouldn’t recommend buying from this builder.Expect issues with a new build however there is no customer service team in place to rectify anything.Every time you chase an issue/snag fix it’s ‘not on the system’ or ‘has been lost as the customer service team were changed over’. 2 years I’ve been in the new house and my drive was torn up with no reasoning, 2 weeks later it’s not been relaid, called for an answer and they’ve got nothing on record which is concerning.

After buying our Countryside Home in 2021, customer service is none existence. Communication is appalling. They send out shocking, unprofessional Subcontractors to sort out the snagging. Even before we moved in the snagging wasn't sorted. One guy even created a water leak that wasn't there before. Having many window issues, one guy didnt even bring ladders! I would not buy off them again.

I have a new build shared ownership property built by Countryside, purchased in 2021. I can only say that this was the worst decision I have ever made. The quality of the build has been dire going way beyond the usual 'snagging issues'. The after service is absolutely dreadful and they really don't care once they've been paid. 18 months after moving into our 'new home', we still have outstanding issues that have not been rectified. The build finish is of poor quality once you start to look closely. If you are in a position to take time to research builders, I would recommend that you do this but, take my advice, don't buy a property built by Countryside. Take a look at the reviews, they are all saying the same thing.

I am writing this review as I am sure other residents have who are deeply dissatisfied with the conduct of Countryside Partnerships in the development of our community. We have been experiencing numerous issues with the developer's behavior and the impact of their development, and we feel that our concerns have not been addressed properly.Despite being warned by the council that their actions were at their own risk, Countryside Partnerships has continued with the development, ignoring preconditions and causing significant disruption to our community. We have written to various organizations, including the Environmental Law Foundation and the Home Builders Federation, to seek support and possible legal advice, because so far, we have not received satisfactory answers from Countryside Partnerships.We have also been disappointed with the lack of care and duty of care shown by Countryside Partnerships towards us as residents. They have failed to answer our questions properly. We are particularly concerned that they keep referring to the 5-star rating awarded by the Home Builders Federation and the gold award for customer satisfaction supposedly given by In-house Research as if these were assurances of quality and customer care. However, we have serious doubts about how these awards are awarded and have seeked clarification as we believe that a developer who as the council office put it commits a clear breach can be awarded such awards if it is based on the quality and reputation of the developer.We have now decided to raise a claim with the NHBC and written to the consumer code for home builders, and we are asking for their help in this matter. We also request that they conduct their own independent tests to verify the quality and safety of the development. We believe that this is necessary to ensure that we can live in a safe and healthy environment, and that we can trust the developers to act responsibly and with integrity. However NHBC has advised some of our residents that You cannot claim or seek our assistance under this policy or for anything resulting from the builder failing to get planning permission, or failing to build in line with planning permission meaing the NHBC insurance wont be valid if the builder is neglegent.When you purchase a new home this is not something you expect to have to worry about and you have to trust that a company who whole existance is to build houses would do so professionally. We have spoken to our solicitor who assisted us to purchase the home and they have advised all checks and searches were done because on a new build the developer declares that all is ok following any preconditions being completed.This has been widely reported in the media, including the BBC and the Daily Mail. You can find the article by searching "countryside crewe daily mail"Overall, we are deeply dissatisfied with the conduct of Countryside Partnerships and the lack of support and protection we have received as residents. We hope that by sharing our experience, we can raise awareness of the issues we are facing and prompt action from the relevant authorities and organizations. We urge anyone considering buying a property from this developer to proceed cautiously and seek independent advice and information before making any decision.

Better, we are currently living in an estate without planning permission which leaves all homeowners doomed. No help whatsoever.
