GoogleAs an incorrigible cynic who has lived here for 3-months and withheld judgement for some time, I can now safely say that this place is on an entirely different level to other apartment sites (Cortland or otherwise) across the UK. I spent some time searching for a more premium apartment block in Birmingham, and that does not currently exist. - The apartment quality is exactly as good as it looks in the pictures. The finish is particularly good, with high-quality materials used throughout; nothing in here feels 'budget'. Everything works without issue. - The management/reception team go above and beyond to help residents. You will frequently run into the head-managers in the lobby because they appear to actually live here, making them invested in the quality of the spaces. - The building has no security issues whatsoever. - There is a permanently in-situ and high-competency maintenance team who will address any issues in your apartment at short-notice (I had scuff-marks on a wall repainted for vanity, nothing else needed); the building is always spotlessly clean, and this extends even to the bin-area. - This is an exceptionally well-managed building. The front-desk team are present 24/7, and will always help you. This includes a notably well-managed parcel service with a large post-room; Cortland Broad Street is well-suited for international deliveries. Three elevators present; I've only ever seen one (of the three) at a time be deactivated for maintenance. - There are large and well-maintained social areas that are never abused. I cannot tell the difference between how they looked when the building was new and how they look now. - Residents are chill/polite people, I've not seen any poorly-behaved students. Building is quiet and private. Only the occasional fire/police/ambulance siren makes it through the sound-insulation. - The gym is massive and well-run. - Moving in was easy; the back-entrance is next-door to the van-parking area, and there are hotel-style concierge trolleys. TrustpilotInternational property management company out of control
International company not being able to control their UK operations. Their British operations (Anthem and others) are utterly mismanaged, misappropriating funds and have „managed“ our and other developments close to braking point. Not even our developer, one of the largest in the UK was able to get through to you and now withdrawing business / developments one after another. And despite contacting Cortland‘s senior managers, nothing happened. The only thing their staff can do is providing empty promises!

GoogleI was really impressed with the building the friendliness of all the staff was excellent as soon as stepped foot into the building the Concierge was very friendly and helpful in organising the tour and sales office chat with Isabelle the tour was great from Isabelle very well explained aswell as didn’t once feel rushed excellent level of service. We were shown the different flats on offer which really impressed us how spacious and good designed they were. Isabelle showed us around the very nice spaces for residents, garden and sky garden with stunning views across Birmingham City Centre overall we were really impressed with the tour, building and the friendly service from all the staff!

TrustpilotScammers and super unprofessional
Literally the most unprofessional and rude agents I’ve ever worked with. Their agents will lie to make the sale and ghost you once they have your money. Simple things take them ages, contacting anyone from that team is like a wild goose chase. They have kids working the phones with 0 experience and knowledge. I had an agent call me at 9pm after ghosting me all week. What a joke. It’s been months and I still haven’t got my holding deposit back. they find absurd reasons to delay simple process because they have ‘low resource’ lol. They clearly lack experience and access to basic technology and infrastructure that other estate agents have. Don’t waste your time and money.

GoogleI have finally after 50 years of renting found paradise. I can categorically and unequivocally say this is the finest place to rent in Birmingham city. Do not look elsewhere you will not be disappointed. I move in here in November and I cannot wait. I was invited to their first social event on Saturday on the 35th floor, the views were breathtaking, and the food and drink they provided were exceptional. The staff were wonderful, they made everyone feel at home as if we were one big family, which is something I have never experienced in my lifetime. I commend them for their exceptional service. As soon as you walk through the door into the reception area, it takes your breath away, you then look at all the truly remarkable areas they provide for all the residents. We then get to our beautiful apartments, with exceptional views. The quality of finish I have never seen it at this level. I am very fastidious, so I take note of every detail when I decide I am going to rent a flat. Looking for somewhere to rent is a complete nightmare. It is also one of the most important decisions one can make, so you need to get it right, I know from personal experience. Please take my advice and come here. Please save one for me.😂 A very special thank you to Isabelle she provided a service any company would be proud to have her as an employee, this includes all members of the staff I have met. Thank you guys very much. You should be so proud of yourselves.
