I’m extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by this company during the process of making an offer on a property. I made an offer in good faith and expected clear, honest and professional communication. Instead, I was left feeling that the situation was being handled in a way designed to encourage me to increase my offer. I was told that the owner had rejected my offer because there were higher offers, and that I could increase my offer if I wished. What I found particularly frustrating was the timing and communication surrounding this. When I spoke with the agent’s colleague, I was given the impression that a decision had not yet been made by the owner. Shortly afterwards, my offer was rejected, followed by communication encouraging me to increase it. I completely understand that a seller is entitled to accept the highest offer, and I have no issue with the owner making that decision. My issue is with how the estate agent communicated and handled the situation with me as a potential buyer. Had I felt that the process was transparent and professionally handled, I would have been willing to consider increasing my offer. However, I will not be pressured into offering more money when I feel that the process has been handled in a way that undermines my trust and confidence. Buying a property is a significant financial decision, and buyers deserve straightforward communication, transparency and respect. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has left me feeling that these standards were not met. I genuinely feel sorry for the property owner because I believe the way potential buyers are treated can ultimately affect the seller as well. Good communication is important not only for buyers but also for achieving the best outcome for the seller. This experience has completely changed my view of the company, and based on my experience, I would not recommend them to other buyers.

I am so pleased with the service I have received from the Colubrid team. All agents knew my property well and worked tirelessly to ensure I had lots of viewings. My property sold in under 2 weeks at around the price they had valued. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and there is a clear cohesive and honest culture throughout the company. They should be very proud and I will undoubtably be recommending them. 5 stars, 10 out of 10. Thank you Colubrid.

Bought my first home through Colubrid. From what i’ve been told is a stressful time the process couldn’t have been smoother, from my first viewing to the moment I got my keys to my new house the process was smooth throughout. The staff at the office were so helpful i couldn’t believe it. This was the same for all of sales progression and this couldn’t have been a nicer process for me. GoogleIn a market that doesn’t seem to favour the sale of flats/apartments, we switched to Colubrid as a last ditch attempt at selling before we packed up for winter. After seven months of waiting, they turned our situation around in a week. The team have been very helpful and we feel very lucky. We can’t help but feel that the decision to change agents was a great one.

Hi Kate, We are really dissapointed to read your review. We appreciate any feedback we receive. Obviously we love to hear positive feedback and its never nice to hear negative feedback. But any negative feedback we receive we take very seriosusly as our reputation is extremely important to us and most of our business comes from positive word of mouth and recommendations. Firstly we would like to apologise if you fee the service you received from us was below your expectations. However there is always two sides to a story. In your case, you made an offer through our company on a property. The seller was happy with your offer amount but had asked for any buyer to pay a reservation fee to show their commitment to the purchase, we take our sellers instructions. You specifically stated "Having reviewed the buyer reservation fee terms, I am not comfortable with the terms and therefore do not wish to make this payment". We relayed this to our seller to take their instructions and another interested party then placed an offer on the property and was happy to proceed with the sellers terms, the seller therefore instructed us to proceed with the alternative buyer instead of yourself. We empathise with how frustrating this must be and completly understand how upsetting it must be to lose a property you have placed an offer on. However we firmly believe we are not at fault for this. As the Estate Agent we are the middle people relaying between buyer and seller and we appreciate that in these situations we bear the brunt of people frustrations as its a clasic case of dont shoot the messenger. But when we receive a review like this we feel its really important for us to put our side forward so that there is a balance. In this case we were simply taking our sellers instructions on which buyer they decided to proceed with and unfortuantely it was the alternative buyer. As mentioned above we empathise with how upsetting and frustrating this must be. We wish you every luck with your property search and sincerely hope you are able to secure your dream home soon.
