I’d like to recommend Steven Field, following the successful completion of a challenging, multi-chain sale. An exceptional estate agent who managed every aspect of the process with professionalism, patience and good humour. His depth of market knowledge, commercial acumen and instinctive understanding of how to work with people really set him apart. From the initial property search through to negotiations and managing expectations along the way, he demonstrated excellent judgement, sound advice and a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcome. What particularly impressed me was his ability to navigate the challenges involved in moving home with such diplomacy, patience and composure. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and his kindness was much appreciated. A consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

The process started of great. Had a call back the same day, had an estate agent come over the next and then radio silence. I emailed multiple times, no response, I called and left messages and was told but others id have a call back from the relevant estate agent, never did. Real shame as I really wanted to use this company to sell my property but just got ghosted by them. Would have just preferred they told me they weren't interested in selling my property rather than have me chase them for an answer for 2 weeks and still never get an answer. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

I have told them repeatedly that I am not interested in taking on a different agent and asked them to stop calling. They still do. Next step will be reporting them to the ICO for not taking in board my request to unsubscribe from phone calls

Chewton Rose are a rare exception in the world of Estate Agencies, they know their market, go further than most estate agents to sell your property for an appropriate price and take seriously their stated priorities around customer care throughout the house sales process, not just to the point of sale as most do We have experienced a particularly long conveyance process at 6 months plus, purely down to the bottom of the chain and their choice of a Conveyancing House, rather than a quality solicitor, but Steven Field in particular of the Milton Keynes branch has been a life saver through these challenging times. Patient, customer centric and above all a particularly nice human being, always ready to help. I can't recommend Chewton Rose enough, and Steve is a superstar.

Chewton Rose Colchester a huge disappointment

We initially chose Chewton Rose Colchester office because of Nick Curtis, who was fantastic to work with. Nick had helped us before on a purchase and was always professional, proactive, and supportive. Unfortunately, just after we sold our house through them, Nick left the agency, and we wasn't even told. From that point on, the service collapsed. For over a month after his departure, we had no meaningful contact from anyone at Chewton Rose. When selling a property, you expect your agents to chase buyers, resolve issues, and provide regular updates, that’s what you’re paying for. Instead, we were met with silence. What communication we did manage to get was dismissive, arrogant, and unprofessional, showing total disregard for our concerns and feelings at what was already a stressful time. Their lack of action and underperformance meant we had to do the work ourselves, sourcing critical updates from solicitors, estate agents and even contacting our buyers directly. Even our sellers estate agent who was a godsend helped us more than our own agents, Chewton Rose. This is unacceptable when you are paying a premium fee for a professional service. Chewton Rose once had a strong reputation, but sadly that is long gone. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise prospective customers to think very carefully before instructing them. If you’re fortunate enough to deal with Nick Curtis, (wherever he now is) you’ll be looked after, but this agency itself has now completely lost its way.

Constant calls and texts!

I went on Zoopla and requested a valuation for a remortgage not just from Chewton rose but other companies too. Chewton Rose will not leave me alone even after saying I wasn’t interested! I have been called nearly 20 times, I have blocked the number but still get texts messages and it won’t let me block the texts! But I get these at least twice a day asking me to call!
