Don't recommend

The process started of great. Had a call back the same day, had an estate agent come over the next and then radio silence. I emailed multiple times, no response, I called and left messages and was told but others id have a call back from the relevant estate agent, never did. Real shame as I really wanted to use this company to sell my property but just got ghosted by them. Would have just preferred they told me they weren't interested in selling my property rather than have me chase them for an answer for 2 weeks and still never get an answer. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

False promises

If your property is worth over a million, then your experience may differ, however, if it's not, then learn from our experience. Communication is very hit and miss and I include in this essential information that jeopardizes your sale; you are not their priority. They promise 'cutting edge technology and innovative marketing', and yet, they struggle with the basics; for example, omitting mention of a key feature of the house location in their marketing and, remarkably, given their claims, a lack of working knowledge of their own website. Foolishly, we forgave them one error after another because, at the time, we felt the photographs and floorplan had been done and didn't want to waste any more time. That was our mistake, I admit, however, all of the above (and there is more) lost us our sale, and that mistake lies firmly at their door.

Once again we chose Chewton to sell our home. As always they did a brilliant job, and we made a quick sale. We dealt mainly with Philip who obviously knows his stuff, he gives a good valuation, unlike some estate agents who go in high to get your business, then you find you have to drop your price. Also highly recommend Shirley who did the weekend viewings. Chewton Rose always go the extra mile, and we look forward to using them again.

Extremely Helpful and Professional.

The Ascot branch of Chewton Rose was the Estate Agent which was selling the property we purchased. On the first viewing we met Philip who showed us around South Cottage and he clearly had a great deal of knowledge about the property because he answered all our questions; he also answered them openly and truthfully. The viewing was unhurried and Philip did not pressurise us in anyway or start suggesting that if we did not make an immediate offer we would probably lose out to a previous viewer, (we encountered this technique with some other agents). On the second viewing we met Shirley who allowed us to walk around and view the property on our own but she was on hand if we needed to ask any further questions. Both viewings were extremely relaxed and very informative. We considered that South Cottage had been fairly valued for marketing purposes. After our offer was accepted by the Vendors and the conveyance process began we mainly dealt with Philip who was extremely helpful and also kept us up to date and informed. Philip and Shirley are traditional in their approach, very professional and are certainly well experienced in Estate Agency which is very refreshing. I would recommend them to anyone who was thinking of selling a property in the local area.

If you want to sell your house, you have to use Sarah Farrington of Chewton Rose, Ascot. We sold and then bought a house with her last year and she was the ultimate professional.She returns emails and calls immediately, keeps you completely up to date with progress and is really lovely too! As a company, they do not inflate property prices just to get your business, they are honest I trusted their advice. Thanks Sarah at Chewton Rose.

Constant calls and texts!

I went on Zoopla and requested a valuation for a remortgage not just from Chewton rose but other companies too. Chewton Rose will not leave me alone even after saying I wasn’t interested! I have been called nearly 20 times, I have blocked the number but still get texts messages and it won’t let me block the texts! But I get these at least twice a day asking me to call!

This is by far the worst agency I’ve…

This is by far the worst agency I’ve encountered in the UK, especially agent BARRY MARNER. They listed my property with completely inaccurate details: copied descriptions, an incorrect floor number, and no floorplan provided. I was pressured into signing sales terms, but once the paperwork was done, all communication ceased. Despite repeatedly reaching out and even receiving promises of a callback, I heard nothing since THREE months ago. I strongly advise against using this agency.

Nottingham Chewton Rose

We have just sold our last plot of 3 through the Nottingham Chewton Rose and the staff there have been brilliant. As it was an unusual site with a few problems, we had a large number of viewings and the last plot took over a year to go through. Graham Lang patiently stuck with us and helped out chasing solicitors to move things along. I would certainly recommend them if you have a house to sell and would definitely use them again in the future. Thank you Graham!

A successful sale was achieved so smoothly and quickly that it left me slightly shell shocked.

After being chased by agents for several years, I decided to sell and downsize just before Christmas 2015. I made an Agency Agreement with Philip Dodd (then of Edwards and Elliott, now of Chewton Rose) and decided that marketing should begin after Christmas and New Year were out of the way. Bids were then sought, received, compared and negotiated by Philip to reach agreement with a buyer before the end of January 2016.

I cannot fault Justin, he kept me up to date with all that was going on with the sale of the property and when the original sale was aborted, he and his team pulled out all the stops to re-market the property with a very effective open day which resulted in a very quick sale. All the staff at the Wadhurst office were always friendly and helpful and I would most definitely recommend them.
