We came into contact with Chewton Rose after our original house purchase fell through. We’d dealt with a pushy estate agent in that process who was still in the picture for a host of reasons. We’d seen the house listed with Chewton Rose online already, but we hadn’t been to see it. Fast-forward to our first viewing with Steven Field, and it was a breath of fresh air. Firstly, the house sold itself, absolutely amazing. My husband had said yes just from the pictures. We found Steven to be calm, relaxed, he wasn’t pushy and he just left us to look around the house. He came across very professional and not at all like the other estate agent. After we’d finished viewing it, he didn’t try to sell us the house, and left it in our court if we had follow-up questions or if we wanted to view it again. We viewed the property a second time with Graham Nash, with the owner present. Graham, like Steven had a very nice manner about him and facilitated conversations, and we put an offer in. We later spoke to Graham by phone and a price was agreed. We got a really genuine feeling from Graham that he wanted to do best by his clients, and trusted him in the negotiations between us and the seller. Steven continued with a lot of background work, chasing solicitors and trying his hardest to get the sale through before the stamp duty rise, which we managed. We can’t recommend Chewton Rose enough. Their style isn’t pushy and they’re very personable people who we would happily deal with again in a heartbeat.

10/10 for harassment, 0/10 for everything else. This agency promise to sell your house and then will not stop calling and leaving voicemails once they’ve got your number. Our house is shown as “sold stc” on Rightmove, I’ve called and asked for my number to be removed and yet the phone calls and voicemails keep coming. Harassment is a strong word but when you’ve told them you don’t want to do business, you call them and tell them to remove your details and they STILL keep calling one starts to loose the plot with it. I get a voicemail ever other day. I’ve just called again trying to speak to a manager and apparently no one’s available and they promise to remove my number from the database (again!)- let’s see if it happens this time! Cannot fathom what they’re playing at but wouldn’t touch this agency with a barge pole not even for a quote - once they have your details, prepare to be harassed ! Would not have left this review if I they actually stopped calling but I can’t make the calls stop, tried to speak to any manager and willing to hold on the line until I can and they can’t help so I’ve done the only option left for me

Chewton Rose are still hassling potential customers. I get 3 or 4 phone calls a week asking me if I have sold the house yet. I have told them repeatedly that I am not interested in taking on a different agent and asked them to stop calling. They still do. Next step will be reporting them to the ICO for not taking in board my request to unsubscribe from phone calls

Steven Field is an estate agent magician… We had our house on the market for a while with a few estate agents and he managed to sell it. The buyer then disappeared through no fault of Steven - and we thought that we would have to exit from buying our dream house. Steven kept calm (and us calm) - called as many people as he could and qualified any potential purchasers even harder, one of which then came and saw the property and gave an offer higher than the original price straightaway no doubt in part due to the vetting Steven did beforehand. There were some additional challenges in the chain as part of the buying process but Steven managed it throughout diligently and ensured we were able to successfully close on our property and move into our dream house. I could not recommend him enough!
