As a Landlord I really appreciate working with Shazelle. She is incredibly helpful, calm and proactive in her approach to her job. She is always happy to pick up the phone to talk things through and has been really helpful in navigating and understanding the new legislation as it unfolds.

I had a very disappointing experience with Brinkleys ,was in the process of renting a property and my reference check passed without any issues. I was also willing to proceed with a professional guarantor service at my own cost to ensure everything moved forward smoothly. Despite this, my application was suddenly rejected by the landlord and the process was cancelled without any clear explanation. This was extremely frustrating, especially since everything seemed to be in order and I had already invested time and effort into the process. The lack of transparency and abrupt cancellation made the whole experience feel unprofessional and unreliable. I would advise others to be cautious, as the process may not be as straightforward as expected.

I was with Brinkley's for approximately 16 years. In the earlier years, the service was generally acceptable, though not outstanding. However, in more recent years, the quality of service declined significantly, which ultimately led to my decision to leave. Communication became increasingly difficult, and I often felt that my perspective as a landlord was not taken into account. Decisions were communicated to me rather than discussed, which made the relationship feel one-sided and frustrating. More recently a council tax bill relating to my property was held by the agency for several months and was not forwarded to me. As a result, I only became aware of the issue once it had escalated to a court summons, leaving me with a bill of £653 to resolve. This situation could have been avoided with more timely and proactive communication. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency to other landlords.

I had a really positive experience working with Tom at Brinkleys during my recent purchase. He showed me around the property on four separate occasions, always taking the time to answer questions and make sure I felt confident at every stage. Tom was consistently prompt in responding to texts, emails, and calls, which made the whole process much less stressful. At my request, he even created a full video walkthrough of the property so I could review everything again in my own time. On completion day, when I wasn’t well enough to collect the keys myself, he very kindly dropped them off at my current home, something I really appreciated. Tom is friendly, professional, and clearly committed to great service. I’m very happy with how he managed the purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
