I am so grateful that David knocked on my door! I was initially very sceptical in adding a second agent to our house sale listing, as I did not think another agency could do anything different, but so glad I went with it. Our house was on the market for several long months, and as soon as David took the listing, everything worked very quickly. The first people that David brought through our door, put the offer on the house that we accepted. From start to finish it took about two month, and I felt really looked after on the way. Communicating with David was so reassuring all the time, no matter what time of the day, late evening or even Sundays, David always responded, and I really appreciated the non fluffy communication style. Overall, I am incredibly grateful to David and his team for making this quick and successful sale, very impressive. And I am also very grateful to Hayley for managing everyone and aligning all parties that were involved in the chain once it was established. Awful experience buying our first property through Bridges in Ash. Unfortunately, as first-time buyers, we had no choice but to use them. I had expected estate agents to be a bit pushy, but I did not expect to be shouted at over the phone! It was incredibly unprofessional and left a really sour taste during what should have been an exciting time. I submitted a formal complaint to their HR team advertised on their website and chased it four times over eight weeks. I only received a response after CC’ing the area manager. The explanation I was given was that my emails had “gone to junk,” which felt like a very weak excuse. When my complaint was finally addressed, I was told the individual was “sorry” and “didn’t mean for it to come across that way.”.. She knew what she was doing (trying to intimidate us). On the first day in our new home, we met our next door neighbour- who happened to be selling through Bridges - and the very first thing she asked was, “How’s your experience been with Bridges?” She then told us she’d had almost the exact same experience with the same individual.. and wouldn’t be using them again. It was oddly validating after being completely disregarded for weeks! When we eventually sell, we will be avoiding Bridges at all costs, and we strongly urge others to consider alternative agents as well.

We submitted an offer on another property that the seller accepted on the condition that we have our property on the market & an offer accepted within 4 weeks. We had 2 different estate agents come out to give us a valuation on our property, we explained our situation to them both. There wasn’t much between the estate agents when comparing valuations, fees, timescales to get on the market etc. however Bridges Properties social media stood out to us & the engagement compared to the other agents left us thinking if we were to have an offer accepted within 4 weeks we’d have the best chance of doing that with Bridges. We were made aware the average time to sell a property at this time of year was around 42 days. We instructed Bridges on the Monday evening after our valuation appointment on the same day. Photographer & home report were booked in for the Wednesday and we were live on the market by Friday afternoon, a very quick turnaround, which we both needed & appreciated! The WhatsApp group chat was great for communication - we were kept up to date at all times. There were several Bridges team members in the chat & ALL of them played a part in helping us out & getting our property on the market, answering queries, taking viewings & providing updates. Our main point of contact from Bridges was Charlotte. Charlotte let us know what to expect & kept us up to speed with viewings and answered all sorts of silly questions that we had. Charlotte negotiated an excellent offer on our property which we were delighted to receive & accept, all within the timescales we had set out in the beginning which lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. We can’t thank the staff at Bridges Properties for all of their help so far. Selling a property is a stressful time for everyone but I honestly believe it would have been so much more stressful without them. Our own personal opinion is that Bridges Properties are the best estate agent in West Lothian (maybe even in Scotland). They run a slick operation & they work well as a team. Selling our home was a daunting prospect, but from the moment the Bridges team stepped through our front door with a friendly ‘Hello’, and a ‘we’re here to help and guide you’ attitude, we couldn’t have been placed into safer hands.
