GoogleWe recently sold our house in Leigh through Bear. Our buyers were tricky and complicated to deal with and Ricky the MD took control and was integral to the sale reaching completion. We were extremely grateful and would highly recommend him.

GoogleWe received an exceptional service from everyone at Bear. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with and they were able to negotiate a great price for our home exceeding our expectations! We hit so many bumps along the road due to our buyers solicitor but thankfully we had Sydney by our side. She constantly chased everyone for us and provided regular updates to keep our minds at ease. Sydney was simply amazing and a real credit to the team. A big thank you from me!

GoogleBear Estate Agents were a god send for us. Bear were friendly, very professional and very prompt with their services. Although we had our first sale fall through Bear was there to help us through this distressing time, they had the property back on the market very quickly, with great photos of our property we had good interest, leading to a quick second offer. Bear Estate Agents had very good communication with ourselves and all solicitors, they worked hard in all aspects and delivered an outstanding service on both occasions. I would fully recommend this company, you will not be disappointed. We had a very pleasurable experience with them.

GoogleMy elderly mother had her flat up for sale with these estate agents for almost a year. She has now gone with another agent. I have no idea how they could justify their fees, they never took clients round this was left for my daughter or my Mum to do, they used old photos for the advert, she never got feedback unless she asked, any price reduction or review was always only done on the instigation of my Mum after we said perhaps the price needs looking at as it was so slow to sell. They really seemed to have no interest in helping her get the place sold. Bizarre really. Unfortunately as a family we encouraged her in the end to change estate agents. The new ones seem a lot more pro active. Sadly I cannot recommend Bear at all

GoogleI had a disappointing experience with this estate agent. After waiting over 5 months for the vendor to provide a building certificate requested by my lender, they withdrew as soon as I began the process of arranging inspections to be carried out. The boiler hadn’t been serviced in years, despite the negotiator, Jack, assuring me during the viewing that it was 'regularly serviced.' My buyer’s report recommended I conduct checks, as the only boiler record was from 2010, back when I was still in secondary school! Once the report was provided to me end of August 2024, I immediately worked to get the inspections booked in with the agent. I was informed that the vendor was unhappy as I had my mortgage offer since end of July 2024. I informed the agents that my conveyancer has completed their due diligence and strongly advised I get these inspections done before exchange. Exchange which I was positive would be set to take place by latest end of September pending the inspections all coming back clear. When I raised this, Joe, the managing director, remarked, 'Your conveyancer should have advised you to do this check sooner,' which came across as both unprofessional and condescending. To top it off, the vendor has now relisted the property with a £35k price increase. The behaviour from both the vendor and the agent felt like pure intimidation and bullying.
Thank you for your review Antonia. To provide clarity on the matter, your offer was accepted on the said home in November 2023. The process was significantly delayed as your lender required structural works to be done to the property which were carried out at a significant cost to the vendor. Despite this, the vendor did not increase the price of the sale agreed to you. Once your mortgage was offered by the lender in July following the conclusion of the structural works, the vendor anticipated an exchange of contracts being offered. At that point, the sale had been running for eight months and at this very late stage you then, on the advice of your solicitor asked for two reports to be carried out along with a homebuyers survey. At this stage, the vendor requested us to remarket the property at a higher price taking into consideration the significant money he had invested into the property and further delays being created. Given the sale had been running for so long, the vendor felt said checks and surveys should have been carried out a lot earlier. At this stage we, as you can appreciate, had to follow our vendors instructions. We wish you all the very best for the future.

GoogleCouldn’t recommend Joe and his team in Basildon more. Joe was brilliant from start to finish, always keeping me in the loop, answered all my calls even when he was on holiday. Marketed my house with great photos, kept the viewings coming, his team did all the viewings as well so no need for me to be involved at all. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Bear in Basildon to anyone, they definitely go above and beyond!!

Helen went above and beyond to help resolve a our purchase, which was complex transaction at times. Helen’s communication throughout was excellent and without her I don’t think things would have got completed when they did. Helen is a asset to the team at Bear
