Initially, we chose to sell our property through a different agent to Bear but were disappointed by the lack of feedback and proactive approach. After several weeks of little progress, we decided to try Bear Estate Agents. The difference in all aspects was encouraging and we felt our switch would be significant in a challenging market. We had a long an frustrating time trying to sell my wife's parents bungalow after probate, not helped at all by the first estate agent we used who overpriced it in the first place and did very little to support the sale. We changed to Bear half-way through, and whilst things were still complicated by us losing a couple of buyers at the last minute, they were far more proactive and supportive. We have now finally completed. Special thanks to Megan, who in the end made it her personal mission to get us over the line.

Outstanding service from Helen at Bear Estates I cannot recommend Helen from Bear Estates highly enough. From start to finish, she was absolutely exceptional. Helen showed incredible patience, understanding and professionalism throughout what was, at times, a challenging process. Her ability to listen, understand everyone’s position and then negotiate calmly and effectively was outstanding. She was also extremely skilled at organising everything and keeping things moving, even when there were complications along the way. Her communication, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made a huge difference. Most importantly, Helen genuinely cared about getting the right outcome and was always approachable, helpful and reassuring. Her professionalism and negotiation skills are a real credit to Bear Estates. I honestly could not rate Helen more highly. Amazing service from start to completion

From start to completion, Bear was brilliant every step of the way. Every member of staff we dealt with were polite, courteous and respectful. They were very reasonably priced and worked so hard for their money. Helen was an absolute legend, keeping us updated the whole time and chased everyone when needed (which happened a lot). Helen was amazing

Helen, our senior sales progressor, was the standout of a genuinely difficult purchase. Our transaction hit multiple serious delays: a defunct solicitors' firm, confusion over the freeholder, a stalled Building Safety Act certificate. Helen was consistently the one actually pushing things forward. She tracked down direct contacts, chased on our behalf when our own solicitors were slow to respond, and kept us properly informed throughout. Genuinely don't think this purchase would have completed without her persistence. Highly recommend.

Great Estate Agent

My sale took a year to finally complete and involved 3 different sets of buyers. Bear kept me informed every step of the way and were great when the sales collapsed ensuring I had new viewings very quickly. During each sale Zoe kept me well informed managing my expectations (and stress levels!) and was always on hand if I had any questions. Bear Hockley, Ellis and Zoe made it a good experience

We used Bear Hockley to sell our Mum’s property when she went in to a care home. Ellis said he would price the property to sell, without undervaluing it, and would aim to sell at asking price plus cover our costs, which is exactly what he did. He even matched his costs to those offered by another agent, less than they normally charge. There was no hard sell and Ellis had a very friendly approach caring about our position and circumstances. Property sold within 6 days of it going live and he advised on on best buyer from offers received, luckily we got one with a good deposit and no chain. There were some delays due to it being on an unadopted road, but Zoe our sales progresser was brilliant every step of the way, reassuring us and in liasing with solicitors on both sides to keep things moving. We wouldn’t hesitate in using Bear again or recommending their services to others wanting to buy or sell locally. A great experience all round.

We have had a difficult chain & sale …and all throughout the stressful process Tilly in sales progression has been fantastic working hard trying to find out what was going on in a chain that were not communicating with the other parties involved …she was a voice of reason even when we were getting so frustrated by it all…Thanks Tilly for all your hard work. We had a great experience with this estate agent. They both sold our property and helped us find land, making the whole process really smooth and stress-free. Dan was extremely helpful and managed to sell our property to the very first buyer who viewed it. Everything went through without any issues, and their costs were much cheaper compared to other agents we looked at. Scott, who dealt with the land we purchased, was also fantastic. He gave us lots of helpful advice and recommended reliable people, which made everything much easier. Overall, the whole team was brilliant, friendly, professional, and very easy to deal with. Fantastic service throughout!

Great service from start to finish. Tom was brilliant from the start on the early negotiating sale side. Always felt I could get hold of the team for any questions etc. Then we were passed to Helen for sales progression who was faultless.
