GoogleThroughout the process it was clear that Megan and her team had view of the wider picture and looked after all elements of the chain in order to ensure a smooth purchase/sale. Any problems I had Megan could solve, she did solve, and promptly. Megan provided frank and honest updates throughout the process. This ensured my expectations were managed and prevented any dissapointments.

Google5 Stars for the team at the Hockley branch -friendly, helpful and professional and they’ve always regularly kept us up to date during the process. Roman in particular has gone above and beyond, not only by helping us to sell our property but he’s now on the case to find us our dream home! Nothing has ever been to much trouble. GoogleWe recently brought out first home with Bear (the Leigh on Sea office) and the whole experience with them has been extremely negative. We received no contact for weeks on end, we would continuously call and message and be ignored, given we were first time buyers we expected a lot more support and advice. We actually went two months without hearing from then, we was lucky we was in contact with the sellers as they was our only source of information. When we did get in contact they was rude and unhelpful, like we are bothering them for asking for updates. However this all changes quickly when an completion date was proposed, they gave us 6 days’ notice and the date was when they knew we was on holiday so we could not agree to this, they then continued to call us and tell us how disappointed the seller was, even though we was in contact with the sellers who were absolutely fine. The worst part is on the day we completed, we was waiting for the call to collect our keys, it got to 3pm with no contact so we had to call to which their response was 'oh your keys are here', so frustrating and unprofessional given we was waiting to move out all day, we actually found out the seller dropped the keys to them at 11am so it goes to show how useless they are. We have been in the property for 3 weeks now and have not heard a word from them, they haven't checked in to confirm if we actually moved in, and we still have the sold sign sitting outside as no one has contacted us to collect them. In addition, they take £250 when you have an offer accepted and advise they will reimburse you once you complete, they failed to pay us this back so we had to call and ask for this, do not forget to do this as they will keep your money!!
Hi Rebecca, I have looked at all records to understand your criticisms and find that all of our dealings were with your partner, I believe, and not somebody with your surname. Your partner was kept fully informed of the delays in the chain which he said he understood and would wait. As soon as we received updates we passed them on. We knew he then wanted to complete ASAP and we moved fast to facilitate this. We did pay the Commitment fee back as soon as completion had gone through. We do not check to see if a buyer has moved in to the property as we soon hear if there is a problem! I am sorry you were disappointed but nevertheless, we did enable you to complete the purchase on a property that was in a difficult chain leading to raised emotions and wish you happiness in your new home. GoogleHaving worked in the property industry for over 20 years as a Chartered Surveyor I have had many experiences with estate agents, both positive and negative. Bear estate agents were brilliant - both professional and on-the-ball. They sold my house without any hiccups and when my purchase fell through (riddled with asbestos) they went above and beyond expectations to find me somewhere. I recommend their services - first class - with particular thanks to Megan for her patience and hard work!

GoogleWhere do I start?! From the start being a first time buyer, it was always nerve racking. But meeting Daniel he was great throughout and very enthusiastic. Thankfully our seller was using Bear estate agents! Throughout the process the communication was amazing and always kept up to date with the process. Even though we had a such long chain, Megan was always on top of things always pushed for things to move quicker. Once again thank you for everything, as a first time buyer this was a great experience!

GoogleAbsolutely fantastic and first class service from start to finish. Joe came round to see the property and take photos in the morning and our property was live on the market by 6pm that day. We had an unbelievable amount of viewings over the next 4 days and we accepted an offer on day 5. The whole team worked tirelessly to secure viewings but also to ensure that it was convenient for us with the number of viewings that were coming through. A special mention to Helen in sales progression who was an absolute star to push our sale through to exchange with what was, at times, a challenging chain! GoogleDespite the process taking a lot longer than expected we initially had Rob to value the house and put it on the market - this was overall a good experience as he was very responsive. Ellie at the sales progression team was perhaps the most helpful person in the whole process of selling my property, she was easy to reach, responsive and genuinely tried her best to get things moving. We previously had our property on the market with another estate agent who were unsuccessful in securing a sale (despite it being on the market for 3 months!). We moved over to Bear and thanks to Joe Elliott at the Basildon office, it was snapped up straight away! GoogleI would definitely recommend Bear estate agents. They were very professional and communicated regularly throughout my purchase. Ellie, especially, who was my progress contact. She kept me up-to-date with where everyone was with the progress of their sales, through the chain, and helped to push through the sale to exchange before the stamp duty relief ended, which was pretty nail biting. Also, Helen, who I spoke to while Ellie was away, was extremely helpful and reassuring in getting my purchase through.

GoogleI purchased a property which was sold through Bear and I was very impressed with the service provided. The team had a challenging situation to resolve and did so excellently and with great communication and persistence - especially Megan who worked tirelessly to push things through. However giving 4* instead of 5* as I completed over 6 weeks ago and Bear still haven’t returned my purchase commitment fee, despite multiple calls and emails requesting this be returned to me.

GoogleI had a very positive experience buying and selling properties through Bear. Jack came to value my property, he was professional and friendly. I felt he valued it at the correct price. I never felt pushed into going with them, which other estate agents did. Jack made me feel confident that my property would sell easily and already had potential buyers in mind. I believe I had approximately twenty four viewings and around five offers, which led to a little bidding war! At this point in the process you deal with the negotiation team, who are all really friendly and helpful. Frank was my main point of contact throughout and is an absolute legend! Not only did he help me secure the sale of my new property but when things went a little pear shaped (with mortgage companies) he was supportive, offered advice and most of all, kept me sane! I really will miss our chats 🤣 I am so pleased that I decided to go with Bear and highly recommend them. A huge thanks to Jack and my main man, Frank

GoogleI purchased a house through Bear and I cant thank them enough. Even though I didn't sell via them the team took great care of me. Megan especially deserves a big mention and a huge thank you. When things weren't going well, she helped me to navigate the process and kept me in the loop at all times - I could not have got through the whole process without her. The rest of the team were just as great and I also cant thank Scott, Roman and Harry enough. When it looked like we had to remarket the house, Scott came out straight away and got everything sorted and Roman kept me up to date on viewings. I would definitely recommend Bear as an estate agent, not just to sell a house through, but buying as well. I wish I had used them instead of my estate agent, who were useless and had non-existent after sales care! Five stars aren't enough for the team at Bear. They are superstars!

GoogleBear's were brilliant in selling our house. Not without its stressful moments when our buyers pulled out just before exchange due to poor health, Bear's put it straight back on the market where it sold the next day. The whole team were fantastic but particularly Helen who worked tirelessly thus keeping the chain together Thanks to Jack for the great photos and to all the team in general. Plus moving day went smoothly. Would recommend Bear's!
