We thought the bungalow was too small, with the exemption of the spacious ensuite.Also, didn’t like the fact that the floors were left as bare concrete, not even the kitchen and bathroom floors were unfinished, and we were advised it would take 3 days to lay and finish tiles on the concrete floors delaying moving in by 3 days when it could have been done by the builders.

Avant's sales team helped us part exchange our previous house and got us moved into our new home at Bradley Point in less than 2 months. The real stars of the show though have to be the Site Manager (Nick) and his team who have been so helpful since we've moved in. We had a few snags to sort, and he and his team have been brilliant, very friendly, helpful and efficient. They've made something that could have been stressful, very easy.

We recently did a part exchange with Avant and the process couldn't have been smoother. We were a family of 3 and expecting another addition to the family before the completion date. Avant made the process as stress free as possible, they listened to our needs and we're happy to help whenever we needed it. The whole experience was made second to none thanks to the amazing Caroline Jarvis, Sales Advisor, I honestly don't think we would have had the same experience without her! She is a credit to Avant Homes. Since moving in all the people on site have been nothing but friendly and helpful, we do still have a few minor snags to get completed but otherwise we are extremely happy and settled in our new house as a family of four.

We were planning to buy a house from avant and we were very happy initially to the stage of nearly exchanging contracts when our buyer pulled out .Once this happens Avant give you 2 weeks to find another buyer.Don’t plan on buying from this developer until your 100% sure contracts will exchange or potentially you can lose a lot of money that’s been paid for extras and your reservation fee.

From our first visit to Ten Locks we felt as though we were listened to and had found a builder with some interesting house styles which were good value. Holly was very helpful and helped us negotiate a good deal and make some positive choices for our extras. As we got nearer the date to move Caroline took over and made the actual moving process smooth and enjoyable. Dealing with the initial snags has been responsive, efficient and helpful. After an extremely stressful selling experience it was such a relief to have a good buying experience.

This review is mainly to praise the Customer Service Team, especially Lily and Laura who managed to resolve the majority of issues that I had with Avant.They worked very hard to finish my snagging list and deserve the full 5 stars.However as this is also for Avant in general I cannot give an overall score of 5 stars due to the length of time it has taken to resolve them. This is in no way a reflection on Lily or Laura who can only work with the resources that are available to them.Avant need to work on getting a better quality of finish in the first instance to relieve the pressure faced by the Customer Service team. They also need to consider who they have as sub-contractors as I had a very unpleasant experience with a Manager at INTU. The general design and layout of the house is good and the development I am on is very nice with houses spaced out just right providing plenty of room. It is yet to be completed so we are still waiting for the roads to be finished and communal spaces landscaped. I do not regret buying through Avant, however it has been a lot of time and effort to get to this point of being happy in my new home. After seeing other reviews it seems that I have been one of the lucky ones to have had no major issues as yet.

We had some really difficult problems with solicitors and Avant went above and beyond to help us. The site manager ian was very informative on our new home demo and the sales Manager( Tom eames ) has been incredibly helpful. Our new home looks fabulous and we are all round very pleased.

if I could give less than 1 star I would, this company needs shutting down , 2 and a half years I've had this miss fortune of owning an Avant property, the most painful experience of having issue after issue fixed/ not fixed by the customer service team has been dreadful, time consuming and so inadequate its another level!clearly they have no training at all and look to get out of fixing any issues, god help a buyer who no longer has an active sale on the site, they really then dont give a rats ass to fix!what's hilarious is even there work men have the same opinion and on multiple times have said how shocking the customer service team is and now Mr persimmon has taken over the build and way they are conducting them selves has dropped furtherTHIS IS THEIR OWN STAFF! we are still having issues and suspect this will continue if you have already gone to far and started the buying process please get a snagging report, take pictures of everything and do not take a phone call as confirmation of anything always ensure they email you confirmation i mean to be honest even when they do that they still wont follow through!special mention to chris who has won worst customer service adviser of the year! thanks again!if you are considering buying Avant my advice.... DO NOT BUY AVANT!!!!!!!!!!! run!

Unfortunately cannot do a 1 star. Do not buy a property from these guys.absolute joke and a half! Had a leak from our downstairs toilet, Stewart’s plumbing came round and said they think the drains are blocked and will let Avant homes know and once they inspect and report back they will Rod the toilet. Waited about 3 weeks before I drove around the estate asking for a site manager. I found a site manager called Jason who said he would come around later in which he did and inspected the drains and said there isn’t a problem and he will contact Stewart’s plumbing and get this sorted for us. After another couple weeks no contact from them. In the meantime I have called Stewart’s plumbing who have advised they are still waiting on a response from Avant homes. I then had to make a direct complaint in order for Avant homes to contact me in which they did and I explained everything to them and they said they will get this sorted. In total of about 2 months from when we told avant home our toilet has a leak we have had no contact from neither parties. Our toilet is still not fixed. Avant homes get this sorted!!!!!!

We are now in our new Avant home after untold problems during the build! We were at our wits end and wanted to pull out as we were quite within our right as the build was a whole year late!!Then two months before we were due to move in we had the pleasure of meeting three people.Matt James the Site Manager: Thank you for all your help in getting us the house we expected. Nothing has ever been too much trouble.When we first met you your words were " I an a man of my word and I will get things sorted" you are a man of your word and you did!!Just watching the respect your workers have for you on the site as well as the residents is wonderful.Again Graham and myself cant thank you enough.You redeemed my faith in the company.Neal the Assistant Manager: What a great person you are, nothing was too much trouble when we has the water leak in the front room. you were at the door at 8.00 every morning to tell us which workmen were coming for the day to do the repairs and snags. They came and did what you said they were coming to do. Polite men who respected our home as did you.All this for us and always with a smile. Thank you ever so much.Caroline Jarvis Sales: You not only saved the day because as you know we were quite ready to call it a day and walk away from the house. Caroline you were in our corner sending email after email sorting things out for us. Your advice and help was invaluable. You always had an open door policy and made time for us, answered our phone calls as well as emails on your days when working or not.If only the rest of our experience was as pleasant buying our house would have been bliss.I hope we have made a forever friend in you, you are an absolute sweetheart.

Very poor site supervision when building has resulted in much unneccessary rectification work afterwards. Problems with roads and sewers still ongoing after 4 years.The designs are good but workmanship is poor. Avant aftersales service is shocking.It is better to do the job right first time but Avant don't seem to realise that.Poor choice of sub-contractors and poor site supervision are responsible for all their issues. It would be a help if they looked after their customers properly but not the case I'm afraid.

AVOID BUYING FROM AVANT HOMES!!! THEY TELL YOU LIES AND IGNORE YOU! I WAS LEFT HOMELESS AND MESSED AROUND SO MANT TIMES IN REGARDS TO DATES FOR MOVING IN BECAUSE OF POOR COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT. I HAD TO CHASE CONSTANT FOR UPDATES , THEY WOULD BLAME EVERYONE BUT THEMSELF. I MOVED INTO MY HOME WITH SMASHED WARDROBES , STAINED CARPETS , NO SPARKLE CLEAN , UNPLUMBED DISHWASHER , PIPES NOT FITTED PROPERLY, VARNISH STAINS ON MY DOORS , DOORS NOT PAINTED PROPERLY, LIGHTS STILL NOT INSTALLED I HAVE PAID FOR!! THERE IS A FLAPPING NOISE COMING FROM MY ROOM WHICH HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE I MOVED IN WHICH IS VERY ANNOYING GETTING WOKEN UP SEVERAL TIMES A NIGHT WHEN THERE IS A SLIGHT BUT OF WIND. THEY BLAME EVERYTHING OK STAFF ISSUES…. DO NOT SELL HOUSES IF YOU CANT KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND OF YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE PAID ALOT OF MONEY … THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND TOTALLY NOT BOTHERED AFTER THAT!! THE LIST GOES ON BUT I AM BORED OF EVEN WASTING MY TIME ON THIS COMPANY!

I saw the bad reviews before buying an Avant home and thought it cannot be that bad. The design of the house itself is really nice but as soon as you have handed over the money the service you receive is shocking. I have been in my home now 16 months and the snagging has still not been completed. The communication is terrible and I would never buy from them again in the future!

We brought a 4 bed Detached at the Clay Cross site. I can’t fault the builder. We exchanged contracts with in 4 weeks. The house was ready in time and very little snagging required. I have been selling New Homes for over 25yrs, so my expectations are high. I just want to say I huge thank you to the Site Manager Ben, Liz in Customer care, James and Andrea on Sales. They go above and beyond. Love the house and the Build and finish I can’t really fault. My little snagging list has been dealt with very quickly thank you Liz. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can recommend Avant as my experience was completely different to most of negative comments. It might be due to the fact that our house is on different site as I was happy with the finish. We arranged snagging ( what I will always recommend ) but no major issues were identified, and the few more significant ones were quickly rectified. There were some minor snags that were noted, although Avant is proactively addressing all of them so really I there is nothing I could complain. John and Christine are always very helpful.
