We have just used Allied Surveyors for EPC for our properties on the Isle of Mull and found them to be excellent throughout the process. All contacts were friendly, clear, efficient and courteous and the surveyor was very knowledgeable and considered in his work on site. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Never had an issue with Allied Surveyors. Mrs E Henderson was brilliant both with buying and selling my previous and current property. Would always use them as my first choice.

Do not use this Company !We requested a house valuation by this company.A Director called Ellie Henderson was sent out to value the property, she never visited the property even though the house was almost complete and valued the property at £45,000 less than the asking price of £385,000. A complaint was made through their complaints procedure and the company never got back to us with an apology.A second Company, Shepherd's of Galashiels and selling agents, Retties of Edinburgh both valued the property at £385,000.My advice is avoid Allied Surveyors Scotland, particularly Ellie Henderson a Director in their Selkirk office, This woman needs retraining and the Company needs investigating.Because of her incompetence, we lost our sale in England and had to put the house on the market again but were then caught in Covid Lockdown and were unable to move.In total we lost over £13000 because of this woman's incompetence !!

Gone through your complaints procedure all bull and mirrors again you have failed to answer the question I will repeat itAre you qualified to do electrical surveys your own surveyor says your not. So if you not qualified in electrical installations how can you give a verdict as you did on my house for the electrics to be condemned within a week.Simple question but will you answer it???

One questionIf by your own admittance you are not qualified in electrics then how can you make a verdict on the state of house wiring as you do in a home buyers survey.I believed your verdict that the house wiring was a 1 for the house wiring to be condemned with a week of moving in by a qualified electrician. Thanks to you I have been dropped in the effluent mybe allied surveyors should not be surveying things they no nothing about not my words theirs.Watch these people and don't believe a word they say or put in writing.A stitched up customerUpdateIt would appear since you have not answer it is true as a member of your staff confirmed you are not qualified to do electrical work.What are you qualified in plumbing, heating, geology what how can you give out a misleading home report that means nothing.It is not my fault things went wrong it is your for misleading me. Buyer beware read the small print very carefully and you will realise you are paying for nothing substantial.

If you are in the process of looking for a new home and Allied Surveyors Scotland have carried out the survey on the property you are viewing, be VERY CAUTIOUS in regards to the ratings stated on their Home Reports, especially their 1 ratings. You could be in for a VERY EXPENSIVE surprise when you move in. To top it off they then LIE when they carry out their complaint process!**YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED**

Simon Breeze surveyed our house for a rebuild cost for insurance purposes. He was pleasant to deal with, highly efficient, timely and the whole experienced and cost represented real value. This was the second time we have used ASS and I would highly recommend them.

I bought a property that had been surveyed by Allied Surveryors Scotland and moved in early September. The home report that the seller had carried out had a rating of 1 and stated that there was no damp within the property.Within the first week we noticed damp and noted this with the solicitor. We then had 2 separate professionals come out and check the walls. It was found that there was rising damp on main walls and one internal wall. Both stated that this should have been detected on the home report at the time.After contacting Allied surveyors regarding this they stated that the weather was dry and warm at the time and no readings were detectable and that is why they gave the report a 1. This is despite the fact that 2 professionals said that this still would have been detectable and this was early September when the weather was also dry and warm!I would advise anyone that is buying a property that has been surveyed by AS to have it checked over.I'm currently having to go through my solicitors in dispute of this as we have bought a property om the basis that the home report was good. Both my 5 year old son and myself have asthma and we have bought a property that is riddled with damp.This is unacceptable that they will not take responsibility for their mistakes.Absolute sham of a Company.Edit on respones from Allied surveryors- So damp only started showing between the months of May and September? After 2 professionals stated that damp would have been evident at the time?

Thank you for your review. I understand that you initially complained to our Falkirk office who confirmed that no damp was evident at the time of the survey in May of this year. Our Falkirk office also provided contacts details for our Complaints Director in case you wished to pursue the matter. It is disappointing that you have posted a negative review without first following through our complaints procedure.

When you buy a house in Scotland you get a home buyers survey and you would think since it cost about £600 it would mean something.Allied surveyors did the one one this house and gave the electrics a 1 which is about as good as it gets. Within a week of moving in the electrics we're condemned the house needed rewiring. I have now contact alliedsurveyers more than a dozen times. It turns out they are not qualified to survey electrics, so how can they give a verdict on electrics. Allied surveyers and slimey slippery bunch of conmen who do nothing for their money as they say themselves they are not qualified to do the job they charge you for. Buyer beware.I would like to ask David Ross of allied surveyors one question which he will not answer me in a personal corrispondance. If you David Ross or your work associates have no electrical qualifications how can yourself or your colleagues give a verdict on electrical insulations. People rely on your companies verdict when deciding weather to buy a house or not, I look forward to your comment on this forumIf your not qualified in electrical installations are you qualified to comment on heating and plumbing installations, joinery etc.

TrustpilotNo mention of High Risk flood warning in Home Report.
I purchased a property for £490,000 on the strength of a Home Report compiled by this company.I realise now that at the time of the report Sepa had a high risk of surface water flooding on their website relating to my property. It was an area with twice the footprint of my property , sited less than 30 meters away. Allied Surveyors failed to mention this flood risk in any way on the report!!!! After heavy rain I have a massive flood problem. When I contacted the company to complain they spent a total of 6 weeks involving two of their staff researching my complaint and came to the conclusion that they did not have a case to answer. I can not believe that a major issue like this can be omitted from a report that a buyer puts all his faith in and that they can simply say there was no negligence on their part. I am now in consultation with the Ombudsman , and hope that his involvement will lead to considerable compensation. Beware this company. If they can justify missing high risk flood warnings -what other defects will they miss in their report and be unrepentant!!It’s three weeks since I posted my review. The company has made no attempt to apologise for its incompetence - no communication whatsoever! I now know why . RICS the surveyors regulator does not think that they have acted incompetently and are taking no action to rectify my situation. That’s why Allied Surveyors are doing nothing-they know that RICS in point of fact are totally toothless and virtually never take any action .

Andy Gray from Allied Surveyors provided the surveys and commercial valuations for the community buy out of The Old Forge, mainland Britain's remotest pub. His communication, site visit, customer support and understanding of the project was first class. It was a pleasure to deal with him and he made the whole process easy to understand. We received a professional report that enables us to present our business plan to our funders with confidence. We would use again without reservation.
