GoogleHad a very poor experience with this agent. The owner of the company is an extremely nice person however staff are very poor. Just to give you an example when I asked to take property of market was told to give 4 weeks notice once this had passed they asked for confirmation in writing. Ended up delaying things and they don’t understand how this impacts on people’s lives. They are not the cheapest with fees, you don’t get any updates, they don’t negotiate any prices. Based on experience would highly recommend to stay away from them. As mentioned owner is wonderful but staff are not worth wasting your time on. I would recommend owner gets some new staff.

You mention a 4 week notice period, ours is in fact lower than this, and certainly we would not seek to hold you back once the notice were given by asking for it again in writing, verbal is of course fine. The property was sold within 10 days of going on the market, and despite there being some very stressful moments caused by our buyer they got the deal done and we got full asking price. GoogleNOTE: updated to only reflect comments relevant to Acres estate agents Our previous rental property is being sold by Acres. Two days after we found out (very unexpectedly) the house was being sold the agent came round, as well as Nigel Deekes who was asking if we had a move out date yet. To which I replied no, we only found out two days ago that the house was being sold, and he laughed !?? Glad such an unexpected, stressful event for us made you laugh Nigel! Acres have not given us any of our post since we moved out. I have contacted Acres multiple times asking to collect our post but have been told there is none. Having been in contact with the senders, I am aware of multiple pieces of post so I know that this is untrue. Absolutely appalling experience, do not deal with Acres!
I am so sorry to read you review, however Acres do not have a lettings department, this was sold some time ago to John Shepherd and company. Accordingly I would be grateful if this review could be removed as it reflects upon Acres and not the lettings agent involved, who are next door to us and not part of or owned by Acres estate agents.
