GoogleVery poor experience for me. They failed to sell my property twice in a year with buyers pulling out (the second buyer specifically calling on my estate agents as well as my conveyances as being part of the problem) They were given specifics about the property which they failed to pass onto the buyers, the "sales negotiator" makes stressful situations even worse by injecting lots of emotion and drama into what should be calm and rational negotiations and I came to dread seeing her number come up on my phone. They endlessly blamed my conveyances for everything until it was bought up that they too had made mistakes then I was told its not a blame game. And to top it all off I went to get my keys back and a woman who had never in her life met me handed over the keys to the property without asking for my ID which, although convenient for me as I had no ID on me, made me realise just how unprofessional they are.

Initially may I thank you for marketing your property with Acres, for allowing us to find a buyer for you and for taking the time to leave your review, I would however point out the information therein is not quite right.
The property was being sold as freehold on completion, as instructed by your good self, accordingly Acres placed this information on the sales particulars also stating that it was currently leasehold, thus giving the full information. We provided this information to any prospective purchasers and of course via sales details and the internet etc.
Our understanding was that there were issues with regard to this being noted by the various parties during the transaction until things were well advanced.
I do not feel it is fair for us to have been blamed for this, given that this information, as mentioned, was provided and fully available, but had clearly had been missed by other parties.
Additionally with regard to your comment pertaining to keys, you did of course mention to us that you were on the way to the office to collect them, therefore we were expecting the request for keys to be provided and I would also of course point out we do have, as required, photographic identification on file, which can and is, referred to as necessary.
I will of course ensure our systems are double checked in respect of both the points mentioned above, to ensure the very unfortunate situation, is avoided if at all possible for any future clients.

I am sorry to hear your comment regarding charges, these are very competitive compared to other agents in the area, and of course all agents fees are usually much higher than solicitors to reflect the advertising we undertake, eg Rightmove which is very expensive, full staffing costs for viewings etc and of course all the other services provided which are all free of change, and not recoverable until a sale completes therefore we do not recover abortive costs of course thus an additional large expense to the business.

GoogleSo...if you are thinking of selling your home and you live in the Four Oaks area - just use Acres. Don't bother trying the others to compare etc. Nigel and the team are great. They'll give you honest advice, recommend a price that you will actually sell the house for and charge you a fair price to do it.
The photos will be excellent, they get things done quickly and stay in regular contact throughout the viewing/offer/moving process.
All the staff are very friendly and very professional and when Lorraine takes over the contract side, she'll make sure it all runs smoothly. Can't fault them at all.
