We would not touch this company with a barge pole ever again. Avoid at all costs if you are considering letting a house via them. Poor customer service, they do not care about their tenants. When you leave your contract they will charge you for ridiculous things and try everything to keep your deposit and do not communicate with you. It's literally ran by a group of college leavers that clearly have no experience. They're also quite happy to put you and your children's safety at risk. Avoid!

Terrible service and communication. Issues with my property went unaddressed for months. High staff turnover means it's hard to figure out what's going on and we were left out of pocket by various accounting errors on several occasions.

We had previously viewed at a house through Acquire which we were outbid on and they contacted when a similar house was about to be placed on the market. Having had an offer accepted Acquire were quick to help us list our property and we accepted an offer within a week of first asking them to list it. I can honestly say that without Louise from Acquire doing the constant chasing for us the chain would have collapsed. I wouldn't hesitate recommend Acquire

Just purchased our first house with Acquire. I just wanted to say thank you so much for making the whole process go so smoothly. Louise was very professional, kept us at ease during the whole process and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. It has been a pleasure dealing with them and would recommend there service to anyone. Thank you Nathan Thomson.

Recently sold a house through Acquire, I just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge "Thank you" for all your help, support and guidance. Leah was the ultimate professional at all times. She is brilliant at what she does and I would recommend her to anybody out there looking for an Agent to sell their property. A great personal service from start to finish, always easy to get hold of and great communication at every step. I could not be happier with the service received from Acquire, they have a superb professional successful team. Thanks Leah..... Joyce Chadwick July 2016

We have moved every 2 years, so I can say we have seen so many agents. (8 agents to be precise) By far Acquire has been the easiest, most transparent agents I have dealt with in my life. They are also prompt, honest and considerate of your property needs. Once you are a tenant, most agents disappear for good even when you need then. Acquire has been there for us in emergencies. Some experiences with Acquire will indicate why:- 1. The contract including renewal and all other paperwork is simple. 2. We had an ant issue for literally 1 day. They gave some solutions on the 'report a problem' online form and the ants were gone as suddenly as they had appeared, never to occur again. 3. I had just come back home from the hospital with my new born and the boiler decided to give way. Understanding the emergency of the situation, it was fixed in less than 3 hours. All the team members are [professional and easy to deal with. Specifically, Shannon and Dolly have been fantastic. I hope to see Acquire grow and expand while retaining their current people centric, caring values/ business principles. Kudos!

Once you realise that most if not all of their 5* reviews are from their own staff you'll get the gist of what a shower of sh*t this lot actually are. DONT trust them, get everything in writing or better still don't bother using them at all unless you want a load of lies and crap thrown your way. they will do anything to get a sale/let but then that's it they aren't bothered about you totally unethical and I suspect the only reason they were awarded anything was because (the same as reviews on here) they nominated themselves or got friends and family to do it for them Don't be fooled!!!!!!!!!

Unprofessional. House walls had been 'replastered'. Which then cracked and started falling away. All the plasterer had done was skim over the old plaster and wallpaper to make it look nice. Laminate flooring was done by cowboys too, uneven with ridges and bumps. Only one key to the house, aquire wanted me to get a spare cut for them for emegencies which i did. I never got the money back. Called the office several times about the walls. They never called back. The boiler broke and we went without hot water or heating for over a week, had to constantly keep calling everyday as they never called back. There was damp upstairs and the toilet leaked. Nothing ever got done while were in the house. When we moved out they tried to deduct money from deposit saying we didnt give them a whole months notice (which we actually gave more than a month and had the paperwork to prove it) it also took a considerable amount of time to get the deposit which we were told by a certain person that we would have it in 2 weeks more 3 months hey. When we i called to complain about the certain person who consistently lied saying he had dome this or was going to get someone out to the house etc the manager i spoke to simply took his empoyees side saying how amazing he is lol. I would not deal with aquire again. As many others have said in the reviews on here. Unprofdesional. Also twice we had viwings organised where we waited for an agent who never turned up. When calling the office they just said they had no record of having a viewing that day.

My local office was Burton on Trent who I had dealings with. I can honestly say I have never dealt with a bunch of young jobs worths , unprofessional liars in one place. The place I went in was grubby, disgusting and needed painters throughout and I was told by John Rees firstly the house would be painted throughout, it wasn't and a month later I was told the scheduled decorating wasn't for another 18 months / 2 years, I was told by Sam Detheridge ( maintenance manager apparently )my faulty electrics and sockets weren't a priority, when I have a 3 year old child !! I'm still waiting for a call back after 2 months from the Manager Cushy or whatever he's name is. Bunch of absolute arseholes that haven't got a clue about customer service, all they want is to collect money off tenants without sorting serious issues with property's. Pretty sure 99.9% of landlords know nothing about the way this business is run. I will never deal with these idiots again

Crap, crap, crap!! Worst estate agents I've ever had to deal with! Any appointments they have with you they are always late by at least an hour!! Absolutely useless when you need something fixing then if you want your deposit back you have to fight to get it back - STAY AWAY!!!!

Rachiie · 4 March 2015 · Acquire Properties Derby

Currently trying to get my deposit back. I think they're taking the tactic of not responding to anything I send them.

Terrible would not recommend to anyone. The always say they will call back & never do. Charge you to move from a unsuitable property to a suitable one that's not infested with rats & bugs, & damp.

Kerrie · 22 June 2014 · Acquire Properties Derby

Agent replied

the quick enough to take your money, never use them again.
