Sorry that you feel you have to air your opinion publicly rather than handle any complaint in-house first according to any letting agents standard operating procedure. However, your comments are factually in-correct and as you have posted publicly we will respond in the same way.
The £2000 you refer to are the management costs associated with the contract that you agreed to, and relate to our work in management over the many months of our working relationship.
Unfortunately, as a professional and diligent management company there is a level of diligence that we expect from our landlords and in this instance we felt it best to terminate our management of your property.
We completely understand your feelings in this regard however this does not change our rights in this area nor our duty of care towards your tenant.
We are also very passionate about the work we do and defend our name robustly. Your comments above have been noted and we may in turn seek legal advice to pursue damages caused by any libellous comments made.

Let me start by saying I wouldn't even give it one star.
I went to view a house that smelt disgusting. So bad in fact that the so called expert showing me round was trying to find what it was. Now I say expert but I knew more about property and the legal stuff than them. Up until today my Mother had been dealing with rental and sale properties. She had dealt with the Accrington branch and found them to be rude and dismissive. After my tour of cat p!*s heaven today I went into store to discuss me renting it on the condition it was cleaned. I was told by the dismissive, rude, unknowlegable staff member it was not her job. By this point the dismissive nature of the rude staff made my mind up for me and I wouldn't be using the company. When I called to speak to the manager Steve who wasn't in, a different manager called me back calling me a liar. They apparently knew about the smell and the staff hadn't said what was said.
Either way I won't be using them for either renting cat p!*s heaven or buying a house.

As a landlord - DREADFUL experience. Jamie & Steve (the owners) will promise a brilliant service, but when there's a cockup and you complain you get blanket denial and stroppy, unhelpful staff. I've switched to a different managing agent now (Ainsworth) who are a little more hard-nosed, but they are businesslike, reliable and can be trusted to keep their word.
