GoogleEngaged to purchase my first house. I set a maximum purchase of 156,000. This was pushing my budget to the limit. The agent was fully aware of this. He put in a bid for 157,000 for the house, which was accepted. This was without any consultation with me. When challenged over this would only state that he knew I wanted the house. I complained to the manager of the office, who quashed the complaint, stating that he had knew the agent for a while and he wouldn't have done this. Made an offer to me of an open check on services. I asked what this would actually cover and he told me nothing.

Summertown office need micromanaging. If they're going to relay an applicants offer to you on your house, ask them if they have checked applicants proof of funds and if they have mortgage agreement in principle in place!

Good Afternoon, We’re really disappointed you’ve not had a service that you felt was acceptable from us, we have managers based in every branch who would have been happy to discuss your issue personally and try to resolve your complaint. The reason a property will have still been listed on Rightmove is that the sale would have only been recently agreed and we are waiting for the buyers to provide solicitors and ID to allow us to remove the property from the market.
