Selling my flat with DJ Alexander was a dream. The whole process was smooth and efficient. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and pleasant to deal with. Special mention goes to Sarah McIntyre. I have seldom dealt with a more organised and motivated individual. She was amazing! Abby Grigg was also extremely helpful during the selling process. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

very pathetic…

I am landlord & DJ Alexander are looking after my flat in Edinburgh for last couple of years. I am very unhappy with services I received. There is no named person responsible for my flat. Therefore, at every occasion I communicate with a new person & have to start from scratch. They don't bother to reply to emails & even don't acknowledge. This happen repeatedly over last couple of years ie after few correspondences they disappear & don't bother to reply or acknowledge emails. Most recent I sent email 10 days ago but no one reply or acknowledge. This is their regular practice. All they remember to detect fee every month. Very disappointing & pathetic!

I recently viewed a property under the assistance of Kieran Mooney. He provided an outstanding service, was happy to answer all my questions and was very patient whilst I had a thorough walk around. After proceeding with an interest in the property Kieran was prompt to respond and take the necessary next steps on our behalf to secure the property within a couple of hours. Very professional and efficient. I’d definitely go as far as saying this was the most pleasant dealing with an agency and agent I’ve ever had and looking forward to moving into our new home. I had an issue with Fridge in my flat

I had an issue with Fridge in my flat. It stopped working and no room to store the food. I raised it to DJ Alexander and Ikenna Njoku, Property Relationship Manager handled the issue. He sent me the electrician on priority to check and arranged a replacement promptly. Thanks for prominent support from him and the problem is solved.

great experience

I haven't moved into the property yet, but worked with Chloe Mitchell from the application to everything in preparation of the move in (reference checks, signing lease, paying move in money etc) and she was super super helpful! Prompt email replies, always picked up the phone, and very patient with (probably too many) emails with questions and confirming things went through correctly. I would highly recommend Chloe to anyone, her patience and knowledge made the process very stress-free and manageable despite the inherent stress of finding a new flat.

Viewed a Flat - very helpful

Recently had a viewing for a flat to rent. Found the process to be straightforward. Gemma-Louise from DJ Alexander was very friendly and offered to help with searching for other properties. There was was a slight issue with emailing the application automatically, but Gemma-Louise made sure we received an application form. The market is very busy but found it to be easier to look with DJ Alexander compared with some other companies.Although unsuccessful with the property, I'll certainly use them again to look.

Smooth, stress-free experience as students

We are students and just moved to a new flat, and it has been a very refreshing and different experience than we have had in the past with agencies. Our letting agent is Caroline Connelly and I am yet to meet a more friendly and caring agent than she has been. She had the whole place cleaned and furniture changed before we moved in and was just great support throughout the whole process. We feel very comfortable contacting her for anything and she has made us feel very welcome in our new home. The application process from their end was very quick and we were being communicated to every step of the way. We were able to get the move in date to work for our timeline and it took off a lot of the stress that we had from the process of moving which was extremely helpful. Overall, we are very happy with DJ Alexander so far thanks to Caroline.

We recently moved into a flat with DJA. The process was fast-tracked by the landlord so things were slightly more chaotic than I suspect the agency is used to, but we got the keys within 5 days of viewing the property which was impressive. There were a few breakdowns in communication but I’d put that down to the speed at which the agreement was being organised at. Everyone was kind and respectful which we appreciated.Kieran was the agent working with us, he was helpful throughout the process and continues to be now that we’re in the property. We have high hopes for our tenancy with DJA

Helpful and efficient throughout

Excellent service and empathy

When I moved into my flat in Edinburgh there were several issues which made it very difficult to settle in. However, things improved when Cass and Alison stepped in to ensure that things began to move smoothly. Cass went out of her way to help me settle in by sorting out all the issues day-by-day. Alison was instrumental in sorting out important furnishings/white goods for the flat without which I would have probably moved on elsewhere. I also learnt quite a lot of house maintainence stuff from Alison which is very useful!! Brilliant service

DJ Alexander provides an easier way to book and manage the viewings in one go rather than looking through other rental websites. We found our property (we had imagined) based on the same and our property manager Kieran Mooney is a star. He clarified all our queries and provided additional information related to the property which helped us to make a decision on renting it. I enjoy renting with them because they have made my rental life so easy since I moved to Edinburgh. I recently sold my home in Edinburgh and Stephen and Abby helped make the process seem very smooth and professional. There was excellent communication and any unexpected issues were very helpfully smoothed out quickly and positively resolved. My first buyer was unable to complete the sale but Stephen was able to contact the additional buyer quickly which resulted in a successful result for both parties- which I very much appreciated. Excellent Service - Well done Jemma!

Upon viewing the property, to securing the lease, the agent (Jemma) was and continues to be extremely communicative and owned any sort of question I had. A seamless end to end journey assured me I've made the right decision to move to a property managed by DJ Alexander Aberdeen. The experience in contract to others I've talked to along the way, is miles off and lets ace it, property management is fast paced, demanding and stressful. This was never obvious when dealing with Jemma and therefore sets her aside from several others within the industry. Jemma is, in my view, a great asset to her team and the Organisation.

Avoid. Not sure where to start. Rented Cauldhame, a rather neglected house, via a video viewing as Jill Pirie (branch manager apparently) could not be bothered to wait 20 minutes due to a breakdown I had on the way to view. Video carefully avoided the disrepair across the entire property. Every wall was marked, carpet covered in stains and smell of pets abundant throughout! Place was filthy. Inventory clerk stated in the inventory that the condition of the house, including cleanliness, was "excellent". I spent 4 evenings taking photos and documenting what the clerk should have. I stayed at the property for only 2 months and was glad to get away. They were asking £1,400 per month in August and I offered £1,450 as apparently there were 3 other offers based on the video. I seriously doubt this. Place worth about £1,200 max in my opinion. Stonehouse charged me £220 for cleaning, unbelievable given the state of the place when I moved in. Deposit registered was £300 even though I paid £500 deposit. Mistakes made throughout. It is clear Stonehouse Lettings, and indeed Jill Pirie personally, do not care about tenants, or landlords for that matter. I got the impression the landlord had no idea of the state of his house as managed by Stonehouse. Avoid this lettings company at all costs, it's not worth it.

I really really supported and in safe hands with the team

I really felt supported and guided by Gill and Donna who were both very supportive and helpful on my journey to find and secure the right property.Gill was a supportive voice on the phone as well as via email. Donna was a great guide and reassurance source in person with show rounds and really gave me great advise and support as I really struggled initially but with their guidance and them both providing and excellent service I gained the property to make me feel, happy, safe and secure for myself and my family.
