We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Simon Nichol at William H Brown in York. We can`t praise him highly enough as without him, we would probably still renting rather than owning our own home. We have visited the York branch originally in February 2020 just before the COVID 19 lock down started, to find out whether we are in a position to buy and Simon very patiently and thoroughly explained our options as well as convinced us to get a Decision In Principal to improve our chances if it comes to purchase. We did find our dream home very soon after so we made an offer and been accepted so things started to progress really quickly from there. Simon made the mortgage application for us and assisted through the process, he even went the extra mile to collect evidence of income in person from my husband`s employer when they delayed to return the necessary paperwork. The mortgage provider`s decision took unusually long due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic but Simon was always there on the other end of the line to ease our worries and to assure us that everything is going to be fine. After about 40 days waiting for the lenders approval and witnessing the seriousness of the pandemic, we have decided to pull out from the purchase as we weren't sure whether the mortgage will even go through or what is gonna be our work situation like but Simon made it sure thankfully that even if we were not proceeding any further, we still received our mortgage offer a couple of days later. Once the lock down has been lifted and we were in a more stable financial and work situation, we have decided to continue with the purchase and we have now completed within a few weeks. Thanks to Simon`s incredible patience and support, we are now in our own very first home and we will always be grateful for his assistance and will definitely be using his services again.
