Moved into our new property through martin and co in August. Since then, we’ve had nothing but issues with the current property and they don’t seem to care. Had to constantly chase them about ongoing damp which still hasn't been resolved. The property was filthy when we moved in, no clean done between tenants, no maintenance of white goods as washing machine had mould growing throughout. Windows were painted shut. All of the issues i have raised have been ignored by both martin and co and the landlord. Called today about an emergency leak through the ceiling into our dining room. Told they are closing in a couple of minutes and will get someone out tomorrow. They have been no help at any stage since moving in, typical letting agency taking a fee from the landlord but not actually managing anything other than your rent.

I have been using Martins for over ten years and find them to be very helpful especially when carrying out works where maintenance is concerned, finding new tenants and sorting out the general problems you have when being a landlord. The service is prompt with the minimum amount of fuss and delay enabling a quick turn round especially when the property needs re-letting. The staff are easy to get hold of, knowledgable, and helpful especially Mike Cole and Rachael Wallwork who have years of experience between them. Repairs and maintenance are by approved contractors only and have always been reasonably priced without the additional 10% fee levied to either the contractor or tenant unlike other letting agencies I've previously used. The property is always presented to a high standard to new tenants and the cleaning contractors they use are of the highest standard. It's well worth paying the monthly management fee for piece of mind, letting them take the stress and hassle of dealing with all the property issues.I would highly recommend them!

Just leagues above any other agency I've ever dealt with. The only ones that are human, respectful, and hold their word. Highly recommend them ! In comparison, another agency I used to be with just further down in the same street ripped me off with illegal agency fees, didn't provide a clean house to move in though they contractually agreed to it, and then didn't help when the council came after me for charges that were due by other tenants months after I left when all it would take was 1 email to the council. Shocking experience so far unfortunately. We have not been able to move into our property due to the current state of it. It has not had a deep clean but apparently a professional cleaning service is not provided despite us been told it would be. I expected to need to clean somewhat but the property is disgusting. We have moved into black carpets and marked walls and overall a very disappointing experience. I wish we had never used Martin and Co.
