We have trusted and worked with L&S to manage our BTL properties in York for over 20 years. Communications have always been responsive and clear, however since manager Mark left the York office things began to slow down and sometimes just got lost. The senior management decision to centralise maintenance and repairs through Leeds rather than sticking to the relationships built up by individual property managers and local York trades has not helped. Things got so confusing over the last few months that we have chosen to make the journey to visit the York offices twice. On the first occasion the ‘new’ manager was not available but Marie and Maja were able to save the day by going back through emails sent, sort missed opportunities and prioritise works to be completed. On our most recent visit the ‘new’ manager had left his employment with L&S that day. Once again Maja and Marie had been able to organise visits to some of our properties and produce an action plan for going forward. We will take possession of another two properties later this year, should we trust L&S to manage them? L&S rentals dept needs to up its game, so far Maja and Marie have saved the day and for that we are very grateful, thank you.

Smooth experience

I had the chance to view some flats with Jade. Jade was really friendly, having a really pleasant personality. I saw two flats, one of them ticking all the boxes, so that was a really smooth experience. Also, Jade was willing to explain the whole process, even without me asking.Also, went through the documentation process with Sebastian, again having a smooth experience. Resolving issues with a difficult tenant

I have had issues with a difficult tenant, who raised several maintenance issues, before requesting to leave early (thank goodness). A number of things needed to be dealt with, potentially costing us a lot of money. Thanks to Philippa Hickson for, firstly finding new tenants and, secondly, identifying the damage caused by the outgoing tenant and ensuring that they will be responsible for putting things right. Philippa provided a high level of customer service. Her communication, support and attention to detail was excellent and very much appreciated.
