Hi we’re Jonathan & Elly, Thanks so much for choosing to start your moving journey with EweMove Estate Agents in York. We’re really excited to tell you a little more about us. Born and bred here, Elly has called York home all her life. As for Jonathan I think you’d say he’s officially an adopted Yorkshireman now having lived here for 15 years. We've enjoyed successful careers running retail branches for two of the largest UK retailers, in 2014 and following the arrival of our daughter Grace, we chose that time to join EweMove and looking back it was the best decision we’ve ever made. Is there a better city to live and work in than York? We may be biased but we feel really privileged to be estate agents in York and just love living here. Are we property people? Yes of course, to a degree but being an Estate Agent isn’t just about property. I think we’d say, above all else we’re people people. The joy in being an Estate and Letting Agent is about helping people through the process, which often has a variety of circumstances attached. Guiding and hand holding clients through this process and being there for them all the way is where the real magic is. Fast forward eight years to now and we’ve built a highly respected local business with a team around us who share our values and work ethic. We’re really proud to be able to serve our local communities with the fantastic customer service we’re renowned for, and really looking forward to helping you when the time comes.

Such a shame as have had positive previous experiences here but sadly recent practice is clearly no longer consistent with their reputation.

After viewing a place and waiting for 10 days to get a response from the landlord, I was told the landlord finally accepted and it was time to pay the deposit and secure the property. which I did and after canceling all my other applications for different properties, after two days I received a call that the landlord wanted to go with a different person because he paid more. I don't understand how the landlord got the offer while I paid a deposit to secure the property as they told me. I think they don't honor their customers or care about wasting your time. I find it weird that all the reviews are positive I would ask Google to check and verify those reviews. Overall horrible experience.

In this particular instance it's unfortunate that a tenant able to commit to the rental for the longer term was a preferred applicant at the late stage.
