Approached CityLets York to make use of their advertised short term and flexible lets only to be told the staff couldn't help because property prices started at £2000 pcm for a minimum term of 12 months. We found lots of properties listed between £995 and £1500 pcm with no minimum term mentioned. When this was pointed out, the response was that landlords were asking for a minimum term of 12 months yet the website continues to advertise short term and flexible lets with prices nowhere near the £2000 we were quoted. False advertising at its very best. If the company doesn't want out money, they should just say so and not lie.

Sorry, I only have a gmail account with an "alter ego" name - but this review is genuine! Absolutely fabulous service! I was in urgent need for a flat with quite particular specs, which felt like a massive challenge in the current pressured market. However, during one viewing, it was James who obviously listened very carefully and fully understood and took on, what I had on my (increasingly anxious) mind. So, he basically proactively found the perfect fit for me within a further 24 hours - as if by magic. No other company that I have experienced so far in this field, has ever been so effective and engaged - simply excellent!

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment on the river Foss. Fabulous location for walking to all areas of central York.The restaurants and cafes nearby were brilliant. I would have given 5 stars but a little more care and attention to finer details re cleaning carpets and shower head not attached. Other than that would thoroughly recommend this company and apartment.

We spent 4 nights in Hunter House apartments, York. The apartment was spotless on arrival and we had everything we needed for our stay. My only slight criticism is that there could have been more seating in the lounge area to comfortably accommodate 4 people. The location is amazing. Literally a 1 minute walk to The Shambles and York Minster. There are bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Everywhere else was no more than 5-10 minutes walk away. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.PositiveQuality

Our stay didn't get off to the best start with me receiving an email to say that my booking had been cancelled the day before my stay sending me into a panic & there being no key when we arrived at the accommodation on the day of our stay. Fortunately, the owner of the property came to the rescue with the key after about 20 minutes of waiting on the doorstep. I understand that these things do happen occasionally, but I just wanted to make you aware to prevent it from happening again. The owner kindly left a gift outside the room to apologize for the inconvenience, so thank you. The room was clean, tidy & spacious with a comfy bed & warm shower. Also, ideally situated for getting into the town centre easily. Despite the trip not getting off to the best start overall it was a pleasant stay.

This was our second stay at this apartment (3 The Kings) and we were there for three nights during the second week in August 2021. It's a fabulous central location very close to the Minster and excellent for city centre eating, drinking and all the York city centre sights. The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable and perfect for a city break of 3-4 nights or longer. Our only issue was that the secondary glazing that blocks out night time (and early morning!) street noise was missing from the bedroom windows and made for very disturbed sleep all nights we were there. We did raise this with the agent, City Lets, who said they would send somebody around to fix it, but unfortunately they didn't.

I would recommend City Lets to anyone wishing to rent long term, holiday or if they are relocating to York -- and especially Sandra who gets a 5* from us, she is worth her weight in gold.

Very poor impression. Agent went to wrong address, insisted he was in the right location, meaning I had to walk over there whilst he was ringing someone's doorbell, trying to get into their 1st floor flat! He did then say that he had never been there before, but I didn't point out that I too, had never been there before, but by looking on rightmove earlier in the day, I figured out the right location and also that the advert said ground floor flat. Agent also did not have inventory, which would have been useful because the advert also stated "part furnished". He was quite unapologetic, and rather "pushy", by attempting to get me to agree that the flat was "good value" without knowing key details. All in all, a poor attempt at professionalism and I can only hope that if I view another of their properties, it will either be shown by another Agent, or they are employed on a "tenant finder" basis, as I would have no faith in their property management service.

This is a review for 50a Clifton Garth York. This beautiful apartment was very clean & spacious, it had absolutely everything you could want. Big, soft, fluffy towels & wonderfully comfy beds & lashings of hot water On site parking (which is a bonus in York). All within walking distance of York Minster & the City Centre. Would we stay again? A resounding YES! Thank you everyone at CityLets for all your promt, polite & caring assistance.
