Sally at City Lets found me and my partner the perfect accommodation when when we visited York. Middle Cottage in Dunnington is close to York and is a well presented and beautifully decorated house perfect for a couple. The cottage is a small bus ride from the centre of York with the bus stop being a two minute walk away. The cottage is situated in the beautiful village of Dunnington, with a bakery and a convenience store just across the street. The property has a beautifully decorated lounge with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen perfect for cooking and a lovely decked area outside, off the kitchen, perfect for dining on a lovely evening. upstairs the bedroom is spacious with a extremely comfortable bed and the bathroom is great. There are all the conveniences you would expect and so much more. The personal touches and choice of colours throughout the property really add to the charm. It was perfect for our holiday and we will definitely stay again!

Highly recommended. Sally and the team went out of their way to give us an amazing long weekend in York. Lovely well presented and clean apartment in the centre of town. The trip was a surprise for my partner's birthday as York is a really special place for her - wanted to make it a memorable one! While the original property fell through for reasons outside City Let's control, Sally and the team made a huge effort to make it a special weekend including a happy birthday balloon in the apartment on our arrival plus a few other little treats! I found the phone lines a little busy but when I got through the team were great and email responses were excellent.

Renting a at flat with City Lets is probably the worst mistake you’ll make. They’re all smiles until problems arise. We had issues with poor ventilation and mould within the flat which was reported but never fixed. However, our main issue came with the incredibly shocking way they handled returning our deposit. They sided with the landlords and fed us false information to try squeeze the most money out as possible. We ended up losing £200 due to the constant misinformation, unprofessionalism and excessive fees. Lauren was becoming increasingly unhelpful and blunt, verging on petty when acting as a intermediary between the landlords and myself. Just over a month of false information, and unhelpful emails whilst charging excessive fees which resulted in us being fully taken advantage of. This company should revaluate its stance on how tenants are treated, as I wouldn’t wish this process upon anyone. Definitely worth it in the long run to deal with a better agency.

Our house in York was beautifully presented and spotless. It felt like a hotel with fluffy towels and hotel bedding and was the perfect size for two families on holiday. Very inflexible. Simple changes to the contract to benefit landlord and tennant can't be made even if you pay. Other agencies would do that. Some staff seem extremely rude and don't seem to have customer care. Long time to hear back from them via email/phone.
