GoogleVery professional, responsible, friendly and wonderful staff of Symonds and Sampson Yeovil especially Karen, Trudi and Gemma. These awesome individuals represented their company truly well as they processed documentation for our new home here in Yeovil. Transferring from another country can be a hassle and they truly understand the hardship in finding a home in a new land. Karen, Trudi and Gemma were very helpful in communicating whether it be email or phone. They answered all our queries to every smallest detail before arriving at the tenancy agreement. Our home was very clean, astounding interior design with a hotel vibe and all fixtures in it were first class and wonderfully made to give a relaxing ambiance. They made it seamless for us to settle in our first home here in the UK indeed. They are very friendly and catered to our every concern and needs as we applied to rent in this property. The home they prepared for us was beyond our expectations, really, and we couldn't ask for more. They made our first impression of staying in the UK as memorable as any client could ever have and we will never forget Karen, Trudi, and Gemma and all the wonderful staff and management of Symonds and Sampson Yeovil. GoogleI strongly advise exercising caution before renting through Symonds & Sampson Yeovil, particularly in relation to the management of 366 Hill End, BA22 9PY by Karen Mitchell on behalf of property manager Wendy Johnson and landlord John Boden (founder of Boden clothing). During my tenancy, I experienced ongoing and serious issues with the property which I do not believe were appropriately disclosed or resolved. These included: - Historic flooding issues at the property, which I was only informed about by neighbours after moving in - Significant water ingress during rainfall, including water entering through windows, ceilings, walls, and persistent damp - Recurring black mould which repeatedly returned after being painted over by the property manager - A septic system issue that resulted in flooding within months of being emptied and the contractor informed me that the septic tank is not suitable. - Multiple contractors expressing concerns about aspects of the property, it's structure, and it's condition for livability - including roofing, chimneys (apparently cheap, not installed properly, and will cause future issues), door installations, and general condition - Faults with several appliances including the oven, dishwasher, integrated fridge, and ongoing damp-related issues - A severe woodlouse infestation linked to gaps and condition issues within the property structure The condition of the property affected my health to the point where I was advised by my GP to leave the tenancy. Communication and management throughout the tenancy were also extremely disappointing and downright disspectful. Wendy Johnson handled the entire situation with ignorance, arrogance, and direclty ignored concerns over the condition of the property and the amount of rent being paid for a place that was basically unlivable. Contractors and individuals were sent to the property without appropriate notice on multiple occasions, despite repeated requests due to reactive dogs and my working-from-home circumstances. Following my departure from the tenancy, I was also pressured to pay an alleged outstanding electricity charge directly to the property manager. After independently contacting EDF, I was informed there was no outstanding balance on my account and that the issue related to an incorrect meter reading interpretation by the property manager - Wendy - herself and that I must not pay anything directly to her. This is shady and also flabbergasting, that a property manager cannot even read their own electric meter and then threatens the former tenant. Overall, I found the handling of the tenancy highly stressful, unprofessional, and lacking appropriate care for tenant wellbeing. Based on my experience, I would not rent through this agency again. Avoid!

GoogleIt is well known that buying a house is up there as one of the three most stressful things you can do in life. Part of the stress is caused by many Estate Agents not seeming to realise that while they are selling a house, we are buying a home. As part of the buying process, it has been a very real pleasure to experience the helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding staff at S & S Yeovil. It was easy to arrange the viewing, which was conducted by Mrs. V. C, who was pleasant, friendly, and very helpful. We didn't feel rushed and had time to 'feel the property put it's arms round us'. Other contacts with the Branch have produced the same helpful approach.
