Our experience was made the best, especially in some stressful moments, by the amazing Caro. She was thorough, realistic and kept us up to date at all stages. GooglePersonally I have been using Martin & Co for years and cannot recommend them enough. Jen helps manage and make renting for me as a landlord as easy as possible. With Emma and the team they make things as straight forward as possible, take the stress out of renting, and provide great communication with options when there is a problem which needs addressing. GoogleAnother horrible estate agency in this lovely town. Be aware of 112 Preston Road in Yeovil. There’s a major mould in the room and toilet. Also a major leak every times rains. Lack of communication with the agency members and landlord. They claiming “HIGH QUALITY ROOMS” which is a false statement. Shame on you

GoogleAbsolutely shocking. They have been DISGUSTINGLY rude and disrespectful towards a family member of mine (WHO PAYS THEM). They don’t send the appropriate documents and misinformation about their property visits. The estate agents have been really unprofessional and genuinely unpleasant to work with. I really would not recommend to ANYONE. Absolutely vulgar company!

GoogleUnbelievable conditions in their flats. I always paid on time, yet they couldn’t fix my mouldy wall for over a year. Be careful when renting from them.
Good morning, We believe that you have rented a property where we were involved initially on a 'tenant find only' basis with the landlord and so have not been involved with your tenancy since that point. At the start of the tenancy the property was in good condition with no mould or any other issues. Any maintenance issues should have been reported to your landlord for him to deal with. We are sorry that you have not found the landlord to have been amenable to resolving any issues you had, but unfortunately Martin & Co was not instructed to be involved during the tenancy itself. GoogleMartin Jacobs at Martin & Co was the estate responsible for dealing with the selling of our parents' property in Yeovil. Everything was handled smoothly & professionally and I would have no hesitation in recommending him. Furthermore, Martin & Co were the letting agents for the property before we decided to sell. As letting agents they also provided a very professional service, keeping us updated & informed whenever necessary.

FacebookAfter the shocking end of tenancy service I have received I feel that I could never recommend Martin & Co, in particular the Yeovil branch, to anyone again. The amount of money they deducted from my deposit, having admitted that they provided the property in "not ideal" shape to start with, for "dusting" and a "non-professional standard of cleaning" and having increased my rent half way through my tenancy, I would avoid this agency in future - they are an unexpected set of costs and a headache waiting to happen, the niceness of the properties is not worth it.
Dear Samuel, we are sorry hear at Martin & Co that you felt the negotiations over the need for additional cleaning of your flat were unfair or demonstrated poor customer service. At no point were you not kept fully informed or given the option to formally dispute the Landlord's claim for costs to replace the light bulbs you left not working or to clear up the areas of the flat that you had not cleaned including the toilet and shower. All communications with you have been polite and quick and all statutory regulations were adhered to with regards deposit procedures.

FacebookAVOID AT ALL COST. Rented a flat through them, when I reported about walls being covered in mould it took 6 weeks before anyone took any notice and came and had a look. The only reason they then allowed myself and my partner to rent a different property through them and leave our tenancy early was because environmental health were involved as they weren’t doing anything to help. The place was a health hazard! They are now trying to say we left the flat in a bad way, but we left it to best of our capabilities due to the mould on the walls. They are asking us to go back and clean the flat, but as I’ve told them myself and my partner are self isolating and can’t due to following the government guidelines regarding covid-19. Apparently that’s not a good enough answer and are now trying to take £200 of our deposit away to cover cost, this is not fair considering we can’t clean that flat at present!! They don’t care about you, they only care about the money they make, they lie (as bad originally said we could get all of our deposit back) and are untrustworthy. The way we have and are still being treated is an absolute shambles. Will be telling everyone to avoid this lettings agency so they don’t have to go through the stress we have!!!

The fact is that you left your flat at 5 Berkeley Road in an unsatisfactory standard of cleanliness, and we have to act on behalf of our landlord to ensure it is returned to a good standard. We also find your comments frustrating since we assisted you in moving to your new home, recommending you to your new landlord. It is very easy to put a one-sided argument on social media about an anonymous company, however, everyone at Martin & Co was only trying to assist you, which we will continue to do in your new home to the best of our abilities. GoogleThis agency were painful to book viewings, took forever to answer the phone and ages to reply to messages. I should of realised but I continued to use them. I paid my fee, that they 'mislaid' delaying my move in. The handover process was very unprofessional, the agreement was never sent to me to read before signing, then rushed to sign it in the office. No meeting at the property to show me round and then when I did come to leave no flexibility on meeting me at the house.

GoogleViewed a property probably around 2 months ago now, waited a few weeks and heard nothing so we called got told we would hear back within the next week of that call, heard nothing so called again 2 weeks later to be told they would call us back by the end of the day and heard nothing since. Very dissapointed and let down.

Amazing service from Emma and the team. Initially they looked after my rental property and tenants. Always responsive and helpful, making sure the tenants were supported and I was able to rent the property hassle free. More recently they sold the property for me. Again a very professional and hassle free experience. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.
