GoogleCan I just say, what a lovely lady Tara from Shipways is. She was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. This lady had obviously done her homework and knew what she was talking about without being pushy. I felt very at ease in her company and could ask her anything. If your looking for an Estate Agent, I would definitely recommend Shipways in Hagley.

GoogleHaving made an offer on a house we loved we were asked to UP our offer before it was even put forward to vendor. Then told we had highest offer but how much more would we offer as another interested party. Then told other party had to get mortgage where we were cash. Then get a call from area manager to say other interested party was from the branch and would we UP our offer to best and final. Then guess what.... we still didn't get the house...... dishonest and discriminatory, outrageous. Area manager didn't even have decency to call me personally to let me know even though we were chain free, cash buyers with original highest offer we were not successful.....rubbish time wasters .

GoogleDue to our experience, we have lost money with Shipways. We were promised a guarantee that our application was correct and in receiving the house. At the last moment the landlord disagreed and declined our application. They did not explain what to do to meet the requirements to pass application. All the time we had to call them to ask about progress and any documents if needed. I would recommend to avoid this agency because twice we applied through this agency and both houses were declined. First time was advertised through Shipways and next time they promised they were good and not like others.

Very dodgy folk. Would not pass on an offer to the vendor, even though it was the asking price. Asked my sister to up her offer without passing on the initial offer. When my sister asked why they said " that's they way we do it now, were just trying to get the highest price for our client"Her and her husband are cash buyers but were told there was another buyer interested, who had not yet made an offer as they had no mortgage arranged. Shipways then said it would go to sealed bids, so my sister reluctantly upped her offer. She heard the next day that she had lost out on the bid made because the other buyer had offered more. Then she was told that the successful bid was from an employee at the branch! It seems quite obvious to me that the agents involved manipulated the situation to favour their colleague by telling them what my sister's offer was so that they could easily outbid her.As far as I can tell from reaing the code of practice, as set out by the property ombudsman service, there has been clear discrimination against my sister and her husband.The agent is, by law, required to submit all offers to the vendor and not to discriminate against a buyer for any reason.I'm not sure that the vendor was ever made aware of my sister's excellent position and capability to proceed.I have the sellers address and may well write to inform them of this malpractice. The agent dealing with the sale suddenly changed to someone who doesn't even work at the branch. I think they felt Somone with more 'clout' would be able to deal with my sister's suspicions and questions. In actual fact, he was just even ruder than the girl they had been dealing with previously, so nice one shi*ways. Miserable, dishonest and totally self serving.Buyer beware 🤬

A very poor experience for the last 6 months. I engaged the Great Barr branch to find me a new tenant, which they eventually did. However, having signed up for a management service, I now find myself with a tenant who's payment schedule is erratic and a branch who's letting team are off sick, so I'm dealt with by the Dudley branch.I've asked for the tenant to be visited and for remedial work to have quotes produced, but two weeks on no progress or calls/emails from the people who are meant to be providing the service to me. Very poor communication and unclear strategy of dealing with tenants on behalf of landlord.

It’s sad to see that when you try look for an affordable place with these and other agencies but ur unemployed at the moment your automatically judged and pushed to the side , you don’t even get a chance to prove yourself or even find a place to so you can get a job or better yourself. It’s like they would rather have you homeless than deal with anyone unemployed.

GoogleI recently moved to Kidderminster from London and had Jemma, Brogan and Libby helping me with my move. They are super friendly, great from start to finish and guided me through the whole process, answering any questions or issues that I had. I would recommend Shipways 100% :)

GoogleI would never use this place again, looking for a house is stressful enough let alone being left in the dark, say they call you back never do, update you constantly never do, never tell you what’s what and the plan of action absolutely useless from start to finish wouldn’t recommend to anyone, always pass the blame to someone else….

Do not use these estate agents, have no idea what they are doing, poor quality photos, descriptions, and plans. Our property as on an off the website all the time false promises with valuations, open days and viewings which has now caused us to lose our new home purchase.
