I did not receive the level of mortgage…

I did not receive the level of mortgage support I expected from this company. While their general customer service was satisfactory, the mortgage advisor was not helpful. Despite charging a substantial fee, I do not feel that he secured the best possible deal for me. In my view, Mr. Mazar Singh appeared more focused on maximising his own profit than on acting in the best interests of the customer, particularly given his £700 fee.

Dixons Erdington made it easy

I've recently completed, I was a first time buyer, I'd had a previous bad experience where a dodgy seller pulled out at the last minute and cost me money, I was kind of struggling with the whole process, but Dixons made it easy for me. I was shown round the property by Alison, who knew everything about the property and the area, even who the neighbours were, then from there Sarah handled it and she was brilliant, always keeping me informed and chasing the other solicitor. Then my solicitor went into administration and couldn't carry on working and even then Sarah told me exactly what to do and handled it all for me once I had a new solicitor. It was a massive relief in the end. I'd definitely recommend Dixons after that.

Dixons - Erdington Branch - my brother and I sold our late parents property through Dixons Erdington. Charlotte Rose is a magician! Charlotte was superb from the outset with open and honest discussions about the property and excellent advice to sell the property via the Modern Auction Method. Charlotte had developers/buyers on her books who didn’t waste time. They visited the house and confirmed the same afternoon that they wanted to buy the house. A stress-free sale with no fuss and no mess. Also, Charlotte was very supportive, caring and assisted with arranging ID checks and documentation for my brother. Charlotte, again, turned into a magician by having a stunning flat on her books which was perfect for my brother and she negotiated a great price. The whole team at the Erdington Branch were approachable as well as completely professional - I would totally 100% recommend the team in Erdington. Thanks so much.

We instructed Dixons in November last year, and have just taken our house off the market with them. Although the team are lovely and approachable, they failed to get us many viewings or offers, and always wanted us to reduce our price as a marketing tool. There was very little contact with them, unless they were booking a viewing in, no updates or marketing reports, unless requested, despite all the initial promises. Feeling very dissapointed and dissalusioned after this experience.

I have dealt with Christine and Hayley at Dixon’s in Kidderminster on a fair few occasions now. They have always been an absolute pleasure to deal with. The team really work together well, in a professional manner and are great at solving problems which can arise during the sale/purchase. I had one particular sale with them which was one of the most testing I have ever been involved in, and I can confidently say without them it would not have completed. I would highly recommend their services, they are second to none!

The team at Dixons have been fantastic both with my purchase in the past and with my sale in the last few months. Right from the start and Becky’s house visit for the valuation everything was explained clearly and in a positive way. After we made it to market Christine, Laura and Hayley made the process incredibly smooth keeping me updated with everything that was going on and letting me know when anything needed doing to progress the sale. I went to Dixon for a flat on Oldbury, all god till i got there to see the propriety i was shocking in what condition was the flat, absolutely disgusting, they want 850£ rent for one bedroom and another 850£ deposit, the condition of the walls absolutely unbelievably all wallpaper falls down and tales from kitchen missing, no dors between bedroom and kitchen, and at the end I have refused to get the flat they refuse to refunding my holdings fees, absolutely legal robers this agents.

Bad experience

I would strongly advise to stay away from dixons/countrywide letting agents from managing a rental property. Especially the Warwickshire office as they would do everything in every opportunity to instruct their own contractors making false allegations of works required on the rental property to make money for themselves. They also hide their complaints procedures when contacted directly and asked about the process and their calls are not recorded so they make things up and completely disregard any instructions given by the landlords. Unfortunately complete professional crooks. They will put all sorts of barriers to raise a complaint and refrain from providing a final response to prevent escalation for their governing body to investigate.

The team at Dixon's have been brilliant, my partner sold two houses and bought our new home through them all in the space of a year (hectic the last few months of the process) Christine found a boat load of houses for us to view and came along to almost every viewing, she was adamant to find us a house and is always the lovely lady on the end of the phone. Haley has been an absolute gem, helping in every single way possible, even when it's not in her job description; the very definition of going above and beyond! Special mention to upstairs (Sally the mortgage lady) she made the process less daunting, gave great advice and helped in any way she could aswell. All in all, very pleasant experience and would recommend!

My daughter has been looking for her first home to go with her new job at the safari park. It's 200 miles from home. She had been promised a mortgage for a property at another estate agents but luckily continued to search. The staff at Dixons, Sally and Hayley were very kind and patient explaining why a mortgage would not be available to her. Sally took the time to ring me to explain what had happened, I am so grateful that Dixon's staff have such high standards and concern for the welfare of their customers. Hayley made a follow up call the next day. I found them to be both polite and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble, many thanks all round

I have no hesitation in recommending using Dixons Kidderminster to sell a property. From pre-sale consultation through to contract exchange Christine, Hayley and Jemma have been pro-active, supportive and provided prompt communication at all stages. I selected Dixon's because during the pre-sale consultation to select an agent I liked the approach Christine outlined for marketing with an "offers over" basis. As executor of the estate I had to achieve the best possible price for the beneficiaries and I had a minimum price to achieve - marketing this way enabled us to achieve this within 4 weeks. Throughout the marketing stage I felt Dixon's, and special mention for Christine on the sale side, were working WITH me and were actively seeking viewings rather than advertise then sit back and wait. Good job!!! I had stressed that communication to keep me updated was a critical part of my estate agent selection - they were all great and I felt I knew what was happening on the estate agent side throughout. In the post sale to exchange period, Hayley was excellent in keeping me updated, even in areas which were really outside the estate agent work. Jemma was available throughout the whole process and was always quick to chase and respond where necessary Dixon's were not the cheapest estate agent but their excellent service throughout has justified the decision to go with their marketing strategy. Great team at Kidderminster - excellent throughout ladies - thank you.

We were recommended to Sally Hall from a family member when we started looking for a house. We decided to go with Sally for the mortgage and stick with Countrywide for all legal requirements too. As first time buyers we found everything so useful being within one company and all in-house. Sally couldn’t do enough for us, if we chased anything up she would have the answers for us. In our first initial meeting, she explained everything to us clearly and we had a very quick understanding of mortgages and insurances etc that go with it. 5 Stars from start to finish! We booked a viewing of one of Dixons properties and we were offered a meeting with their mortgage and protection adviser. We had our viewing and then we were introduced to a very smiley and friendly lady called Sally Hall, she made us feel instantly at ease. We were both concerned that we wouldn't be able to obtain a mortgage and would be interrogated by a stuffy jobs worth. Quite the contrary, Sally was so welcoming and helpful, made everything nice and easy to understand. Didn't try to "sell" us, just explained the facts and let us make our own decisions. As you may have guessed, we took Sally on as our adviser. I'm pleased to now say that we have exchanged contracts and are about to move in. I would like to thank Sally for being a rock to my wife and I. Happy to talk whenever, even on her holiday!
