GoogleVery helpful. Sold very quickly and Matthew was supportive all through the sale. We completed in just 2 months. Matthew kept us up to date with what was happening. Dawn went round to the house and turned off the garden tap when we were away and the neighbour reported a problem. Would recommend, especially to those selling in that area of Worcester

Dawn with 20+ years experience as an agent is faultless, I am definitely a needy and sometimes pushy customer but she has taken in her her stride and always been happy to help chase things when they had slowed down. GoogleAs my fathers executor, I needed to sell his park-home, a property that required significant modernisation. Living out of the area, I was initially at a loss as to where to turn. After a disappointing encounter with another estate agent who refused to take on the challenge, I was fortunate to be recommended to Shelton & Lines. Despite the challenges posed by the property, the team (Dawn & Jenna) accepted the task. They promptly arranged viewings, recommending, and coordinating local tradesmen to gain the necessary gas and electric safety certificates. While there were occasional delays in communication, which required me to follow up, they were ultimately successful in two offers. The complexity of selling a park home, which doesn’t involve traditional solicitors, was expertly handled by Dawn and Jenna. They took care of all the necessary paperwork, liaising with both the buyer and the park-home site owner. While there were minor hiccups along the way, Shelton & Lines' dedication and professionalism ultimately led to a successful sale of a unique and challenging property. I would like to extend my gratitude to Dawn and Jenna for their hard work and commitment.

GooglePoor service in Worcester. Utterly Negligent. They accepted a low offer without my consent. Later, told me the buyer was no longer interested when their chain broke. Buyer slipped a note through my door to say they were still interested. Untrustworthy, deceitful or just simple-minded? Perhaps all of the above. Will never recommend or use again. Sold privately to the buyer months later and S&Ls took us to court. Should have read the small print in the contract. Judge’s advise: sue for incompetence. Think I’d rather share my story to spare your 1% with a reputable estate agent. Boo.

We have just exchanged to move house and from start to finish, I can't express just how incredible they have been. When we ran into difficult times due to solicitors, Michelle went the extra mile and exceeded all expectations. There was no point that we felt they didn't do their very best for us on every level. GoogleWe sold our house with S&L. Certain parts of the sale were handled well, hence the 3 stars. We were dissatisfied how S&L managed the sale negotiations with the Buyer (handled solely by S&L, as we were away). As part of the offer acceptance, S&L managed to leave the Buyer with the impression that we'll complete by a certain date (without making us aware and agreeing that with us). When unfortunately that date was not met, the Buyer (feeling somewhat misled) demanded a price concession, which sadly had to be accepted in order to complete the sale... Just be mindful that you are aware of all terms of an offer, if S&L is accepting one on you behalf.
Thank you for your review - we are, of course, disappointed that you are unhappy with your recent sale & completion. All offer negotiations are handled by ourselves, whether someone is overseas or in the UK and of course you are aware of the offer and any terms relating to this. The timescales you advise you were not aware of were highlighted multiple times and shared with both yourself and your original solicitor as far back as April and again in May via email. Naturally this can only ever be an aim rather than something set in stone, as we are not the conveyancers and cannot promise to anyone that a property will reach completion within a set period of time. The elements you have not mentioned within your review were that you had to change solicitors part way through your sale which caused you all a delay. This is of course is no fault of your own, but equally no fault of ours either - this happened over the busiest time of the year for solicitors, holidays their end, and caused you a further delay. Frustratingly, your buyer then wanted partial compensation for the additional two months of rent that she had had to pay, along with the added stress of her being away for a month shortly after she completed, hence her wanting an earlier completion date. We had three options at this point that we discussed; 1. You offer a partial rebate. 2. You pay it all and be done with it. 3. You re-market the property as the buyer made it clear she would withdraw from the sale. You chose to reduce your sale price by £600.00 to compensate your buyer and as a gesture of goodwill, we refunded you £200.00.
