I had the pleasure of renting with blackpear lettings and i cannot speak highly enough about the outstanding service and support i received throughout the entire processs.
They displayed uttermost professionalism and attentiveness. The communication with Blackpear lettings was exceptional. Their responsiveness and willigness to address any concerns or answer any questions i had made me feel valued as a tenant.

GoogleOne of the worse Agency I have known. They never get back to the emails I send them about damages to the property. They try and take half of my deposit accusing me of damages and cleaning of the propertyβ¦ wouldnβt recommend students to go with this agency!!!

GoogleWe were not informed before the start of our tenancy that they will deduct a PROFESSIONAL CLEANING services upon vacating the property prior to signing our contract. The deposit was not returned to us immediately after ten days of moving out. It was already 1 month and the deposit was not returned yet. So BEWARE. anyone, clarify it first before signing any contract.

GoogleRented with them for two years, absolute nightmare getting anything fixed. Claimed we owed Β£3000 of overdue utilities. When I checked the inventory incorrect readings had been submitted so I filled a dispute with DPS and got all my deposit back. Before this the company was threatening legal action. I was told it was my responsibility to change lights that were broken when I moved in then when an electrician came later in the year he said never to change the lights again as they're far too high and serious safety risky. The list could go on and on. Please avoid this if you're a student renting properties they prey on people misinformed or people who don't know their rights.

GoogleI have now been with Black Pear for 3 years in 3 different properties. All of the staff are attentive, professional and willing to help wherever they can. Black Pear really do have all students/young professionals best interests at heart and always try to make you as comfortable as they can in the home you are renting.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide a review. Whilst I appreciate that good or bad a review is valuable, I feel the comments you have made are inaccurate.
Worcester University have an opinion on an independent agency that they are in direct competition with to let rooms; would they be completely positive about us? This is something as a Director of Black Pear Lettings; I am personally liaising with the University in regards to as their comments are slanderous to us as a company and completely inaccurate. All tenants were emailed assuring them of our services despite what the University are advising, we want our tenants to have faith in our capabilities and in renting over 500 rooms year in year out, this shows that we are in fact trustworthy and compliant. We conduct an inventory prior to move in and a check out when the tenancy ends, both reports are compared and any discrepancies on the reports beyond wear and tear are charged back to tenants as a fair charge. Each tenant has the right to dispute their deposit return via The DPS website of which Lydia has confirmed in email communications with you.

GoogleThe lovely ladies at Black Pear Lettings Worcester have been more than helpful and full of life.. Lydia who showed me round a couple apartments was professional and very polite.
The girls in the office were friendly, and as a customer, I felt welcome. They helped with an issue non regarding black pear and were helpful again.
Theyβre an asset to the company and I hope many more letting agents accomplish what they have.

GoogleI've been staying at 14 Pierpoint since September 2016, Black Pear have offered no assistance to any issues I've had with the property, the blinds fell off the wall because they weren't fitted properly a week after we had moved in and have only just been fixed, meaning for a whole year we've had people be able to see into our flat and vice versa.
Our shower is frankly, dangerous, it will flit between the hot and cold setting instantly as soon as anyone in the building turns a tap on, and considering there are nearly 20 flats, happens frequently. Myself and my girlfriend havent been able to have a decent shower since we moved in.
The internet is abysmal. Currently one of our routers is down during the week when 4 of my assignments are due in, I've emailed about this issue which has been happening on and off since we moved in only to be told "We've looked into it and there appears to be no issue" or "We advise that you make use of the hive". Considering the cost of rent, I shouldn't have to be told to use the library because the buildings wifi is not installed correctly.
I will update if any of these issues are fixed but so far nothing has been done.

GoogleThese guys are about as good as it gets. They are the Go To Lettings agency in Worcester for students lookings for rooms or houses. For a reason. You can't do better than Black Pear.
And if you're really lucky you'll have Rob Crewe as your person there. He so good, so helpful, nothing's a problem. He's an ex student of the Uni so he knows his way around, knows what the students are looking for, and what's probably best suited for them. He helped us so much, after term had already started, and at incredibly short notice, to look at rooms and find the perfect one. And he's a Maths Genius so he knows all about numbers and finding the right value rooms :). Five Stars to these guys.

GoogleRecently moved in, Had a problem with my keys on first night. One of the staff ran from the train station 10 minutes before his train home at 6pm (After hours in the freezing cold.) and sorted the electric for me.
Had an issue with Gas and Fridge, both are being dealt with the same day and once again said staff member went out of their way to assist, email support was great with emails first thing when I questioned anything and a follow up to make sure the situation was sorted.
Brilliant for a Mature students/students first rent.
Hope to be a tenant with them for all my University period.
