From the start of the process of having to sell our parents’ house, everyone at Michael Hardy has been helpful, understanding and professional. From the first visit by Ricky Wootton to value the property to completion today, communication from all the staff has been excellent. We were kept fully up to date with all that was happening and thoughtfully advised of our options all along the way. In particular we would like to thank Ricky, Sarah and Barney, with whom we had most telephone communication, but also Neal and Trisha who kept us fully informed via email. We are very pleased with the outcome and the speed with which our sale went through.

It’s always hard to decide which estate agent to use and we talked to a few before choosing Michael Hardy. We were impressed with their excellent market knowledge but mostly with their very honest advice about the price and the process. They also understood and were very compassionate about the difficulties of our situation where we were selling our mum’s house as she was now in a care home. There was no pressure to lower the price just to get a quick sale but instead they worked very carefully to find the right price point over a period of time and in a very difficult market. Marketing was excellent and good quality potential buyers were found. Michael Hardy managed the viewings very carefully too, as the property was vacant and so they needed to attend all viewings. A big thanks goes to Ricky Wootton who managed our sale and whose communication throughout the process was outstanding. Ricky also had great empathy for our situation and had excellent ideas when it came to selling strategy. The whole team at Michael Hardy were brilliant, professional and friendly and we would certainly use them again. The whole experience was relatively painless inspite of our mum’s house not being an easy sell. That is entirely down to the skill and top notch customer care delivered by Ricky and his colleagues. I’d like to thank all Wokingham office team and especially a fantastic realtor Neal Mackenzie for a wonderful job. He demonstrated extensive knowledge of the selling process and explained us every step. As first-time buyers we had so many questions and concerns, but Neal Mackenzie made this deal as stress-free as it could possibly be. Moreover, he is extremely responsive and was of huge help to communicate with all three sides’ conveyancers. He always replied to our emails and gave us calls back in no time. We have found Michael Hardy, Ben Biggs in particular, truly outstanding in the sale of our property. Our contacted started with a true and fair evaluation of our property, which was professionally done and gave us confidence in Michael Hardy’s ability to sell the property. We had previously been on the market with Purple Bricks, who have no incentive whatsoever to sell your house and do very little. We decided that in order to sell we needed to instruct a proper estate agent and we were proven right. Michael Hardy arranged more viewings in the first 2 days than Purple Bricks did in 4 weeks! Once a suitable buyer had been found, Ben and the team kept in constant contact keep all in the chain up to date. This proved extremely valuable as certain solicitors tried their very best to delay the process for months, much to the rest of the chains frustration. Ben’s chasing and tireless work was the glue that kept the chain together and I’m sure that without him, the chain would have fallen through. I cannot recommend Michael Hardy enough, they are true local experts, they are professional at all times and delivery excellent customer satisfaction. The highest plaudit I can give is that I will be sure to use their services should I choose to move again in the future.

I choose Michael Hardy, above two other local estate agents, because I felt their representative Barney, was interested in my property and would do a good job. He was extremely experienced, took time to explain their proposition and left me with the impression that he and his team would work hard for me. I have not been disappointed and they did exactly what they said they would do. The company is extremely well connected and tap into local services such as maintenance, engineers and solicitors who have all been a pleasure to deal with and charged very reasonable rates.
