At the start I found my experience to be professional and promising but my sale was lengthy and problematic. Often communication wasn’t great…the WhatsApp messages set up by H & H not replied to when Sales were on holiday or not in it. They recommended 2 different solicitors, which I chose from, however we hit a brick wall with a Deed of Variation and that’s when I changed solicitor upon the advice of H & H. They again recommended a second solicitor as having experience on dealing with Deed of Variation’s. Making it very clear I had a budget and wouldn’t be able to afford the abortive fee if I changed at this stage, I was asked by Sales to send them the Abortive Fee invoice and the Director of H & H was ‘apparently sorting it out that afternoon by speaking to the solicitor’. I was also told on the phone by Sales, don’t worry about the abortive invoice as it was down to them for recommending that solicitor in the first place. I had WhatsApp messages to back this up too. I’ve since paid the fee as it needed paying and as it turned out H & H had slippery shoulders and a foggy memory at this point and are unable to confirm why they made these statements about the abortive fee and wanting the invoice to be sent to them if they weren’t going to address what they promised. I will never recommend this estate agent based upon my experience! If you use…avoid WhatsApp and put everything in writing via email!

I met with Struan Robinson last week. What a polite, funny, intelligent member of your team. Communication was perfect and very quick to respond - i ask a lot of questions. Nothing was too much trouble. I have never rented before and Struan talked me through the whole process. The walk through was great - he knew a lot about the apartment. Although I didnt put down a holding deposit he is still determined to help me find the perfect place. We were lined up to move into a property with a different estate agent when they called us to say that the current tenants weren’t going to move out and they had no alternative properties for us to move into. This was a week from our move-in date. We remembered Struan from how friendly he’d been when he’d knocked on our door previously and gave the number on his business card a call. If you don't want to read all of my review then let me start by saying that Hat and Home have provided us with the BEST Agency experience we have ever had.....now on to my review :-) We had not moved home for over 15 years and it's fair to say we were somewhat nervous to go through the process again. Clearly choosing the right Estate Agency was going to be key to how smooth the process would go. Living in Crowthorne we are quite fortunate as there are a number of good choices for Agencies but we did find the initial process a little antiquated from some of the more 'well known' ones with representatives who seemed somewhat underwhelmed by the role they have to perform .....and then along came Hat and Home. At the time they were new to us and so initially there was that slight concern as you have with any business that you have no previous experience of about how good would they be.....we needn't have worried. From the outset it was clear that they have a more modern approach, there Crowthorne Office is amazing and a relaxing space and when you meet in our case Ben and Luke you immediately feel comfortable in there presence. In our case Ben did a great job showing our house to perspective buyers and then Luke took over and he managed the whole communication process from end to end with a fantastic energy level and showed great patience with the people in the chain...especially me. We had quite a long chain, and it kept Luke really busy, but not once did he fail to provide timely updates and clearly was often working long hours to keep the process going. He went out of his way to help several times throughout the process, including to find a time that suited me to view the property and even to try and get the keys to me while I was isolating with covid. Just purchased the perfect property in Wokingham through Hat and Home. Ben and his team were incredible throughout the whole transaction.
