Very very disappointed with the Letting…
Very very disappointed with the Letting side of Seymours. Visited the property and could see it wasn't clean inside, garden unkempt, packed with furniture, decking a Health and Safety hazard etc.The Agent confidently assured us that:1. Seymours would carry out an inspection prior to the letting and that the following would be in place.2. The property would be deep cleaned before we rented it unfurnished.3.. The dangerous decking would be fixed. Before rental.4. The property would be completely empty.5. The garden would be tidied up.We arrived at the property on the handover day (with all of our possessions arriving 40 minutes later) to find:1. The whole house was dirty, sinks, toilets, cooker, food residue in cupboards, kitchen cabinet door missing, clip on plastic door coming away, the list goes on.2. The decking had not been made safe. 3. There were two large dirty 3 seater sofas taking up a large portion of the lounge.4. The garden had not been touched and was very overgrown.5. The kitchen sink was completely blocked.(Subsequently On day 2 we had to deal with hundreds of flies presumably emerging from the food which had been dropped in the small gap alongside the cooker ).This created huge problems as we could not delay arrival of our furniture and possessions and had to have our belongings delivered into a dirty house and ask our removal men to move the big sofas into the garage which prevented us storing boxes in there. It isn't worth going into the timeline, just to say that the response from Seymours was completely unacceptable. Apparently Seymours don't do the inspection but outsource it and didn't brief the company with the rental agreement. All we were repeatedly told is that Seymours were only the Letting Agent but were not managing the property so when we were quoted the guarantees, apart from the decking which was Contractual, the Agent was just repeating what the Landlord had promised. This was never made clear to us at the viewing or we would never have agreed to pay 6 months rent upfront. We would have just paid the deposit and one month to give us more leverage. When we finally received the Inspection Report it confirmed that the house was dirty, in poor repair etc. and the photographs bear testament to that.We feel very let down, it took days and days plus hours of work to get the house clean enough to live in, 5 days to get the sofas removed and weeks to get the decking fixed. Your letting Agents need to make it quite clear to potential renters if they are just repeating words spoken by a Landlord rather than giving the impression that they are giving guarantees by Seymours.
Dear Mrs Clark, We are sorry to hear you were let down by the landlord of the property. We believe that we offered a very good service securing you the property and arranging all relevant paper work and references in a short turn around period. We went above and beyond to help you fill out the r eferences, and we can only apologies that you were let down by landlord not fulfilling his obligations in readiness for your move date. We do now understand the landlord has now fulfilled his obligations since you have moved in. Sorry that the landlord let you down, and we wish you all the best in the future.Aaron Williams, Lettings Manager, Camberley

Unprofessional and GDPR breaching
*updated March 26* Despite asking repeatedly for them to delete my details from their database and never contact me again, and despite the message below, I received ANOTHER sales call. Do not trust them with your details as they clearly don't understand their GDPR obligations or care about individuals.
Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I’m truly sorry for the experience you’ve had. What you’ve described isn’t how we want anyone in our Neighbourhood to feel. Your viewing being cancelled at short notice, followed by emails that weren’t relevant to you, is understandably frustrating. We’re normally very hot on updating our records and removing people the moment they ask, so this sounds like a genuine oversight on our part, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying for you, and I completely understand why it’s left a bad impression. I’ve already passed your feedback to the Guildford team so we can make sure your details are corrected and the emails stop straight away. We’ll also look into how this slipped through, as we do want to get this right. Thank you again for raising it. We really do appreciate the honesty, and we’re sorry this was your experience with us.

Positive & Professional
I had a thoroughly positive experience with Seymours. From the initial meeting with James, I felt confident I was dealing with a professional & prepared company. I would particularly recommend Kirsty who I dealt with once the sale was agreed. It was a great help personally to have Kristy’s calm & reassuring help & advice.
Finding a buyer is only 50% of the process, getting everyone moved with the minimum stress is the other. Thanks for the comments LK.

What a great team
What a great team. From our initial meeting with Nick and John to discuss pricing and marketing through to day to day discussions pre sale with Sam right the way through to exchange and completion with Jenny, I found the whole team amazing. They made the whole transaction easy, and took a lot of the stress out the process. We will always be grateful to all at Seymours, but especially Jenny. Keep up the good work!
Hi Peter, thanks for the kind words. Thanks for choosing to use us, it's been great to work with you. Regards team Surbiton.

A good experience of Seymours
Although I decided not to buy, I was very impressed by the way Seymour’s, especially Trevor Hunnings, put himself out to facilitate multiple weekend viewings and for constructive and no pressure guidance. I shall come back.
Thank you, Colin. We really appreciate your kind words. Trevor and the team always strive to provide a helpful and pressure-free experience. We’d love to assist you again in the future.

The Wolfs of Woking street
I'm talking about the Woking branch. Very bad experience. These guys are only interested in money and they were only trying to confuse our landlord to get extra "illegal fees" from us. I don't want to bore you with the details, but here are some tips if you have to deal with them:- All in written, don't trust them ever.- After a year of contract, get them to reduce the notice period to 1 or 2 months (most). They'll come all the time with "we have to check with the landlord" but at the end is all BS. This will save you a lot of trouble, as they are not going to look for replacements when they can charge you whatever they want if you leave the house earlier. They will rather leave the house empty and you will lose a lot of money.- Whatever price they tell you at the beginning, I'm sure you can reduce it by at least £100. Keep negotiating as all the prices are inflated!- They will ask you to pay more after a year of contract. Refuse it. They will "ask the landlord" and renegotiate. - If you are leaving the house and things didn't go well with them, they will try to access the house even without telling you with 24h in advance. This is illegal. Install a camera if you want proof of this.- Ask for your landlord contact details. It's a shame that we, as tenants, have to deal with these kind of companies that are completely soulless. Sometimes is unavoidable to deal with them, so I hope this helps the next tenant to do so.Not sure how these people sleep at night, knowing they are not precisely making this a better world. Money is not everything people!EDIT 09/10/2021: After reading the first reply, I contacted them with my real name (it was set as Tyson on TP). They replied and asked for more detailed feedback, which I provided. After that, I got no further answer. This review is legit, it is just not interesting for them that this info is public, but that's the point of TrustPilot! I've added a review on google with some screenshots, if anyone is interested in following the rest of the story and the truth! :)

Never again.
We were recently searching for a proeprty to let as our current is up for sale. Having had enquired about a property I was contacted by Seymours and told it was no longer available but given an option in the same area that was currently on market. I knew this property and advised it was out of budget + it had been on the market for 2+ months. The representative advised that as it had been on market for a while the landlord would be willing to drop the rent amount, so we decided to go and view it. We were shown the property by James and spoke about how the asking price was too much - he had advised that he was pretty sure the landlord would accept what we were offering within our budget. Completed the offer form, called back by Sam advised that the landlord refused (which was fine as we expected this would happen), but came back with a counter offer. Sam then continued to explain that the landlord didn't really care if the property remained on market throughout March as he was in no rush to rent the property/did not need the funds. We ended up agreeing to the asking price of the landlord - all accepted, paid all the amounts asked/passed referencing, given a move in date chosen by Seymours (which worked) and signed contracts. 2 days later contacted by Sam to advise that the landlord had the listing with a different estate agents and decided to rent to other individuals as they could move in that weekend.

Hiding information on a defective lease
I have been attempting to purchase a 2 bed since October last year. During which we discovered a defective lease that my lender rejected my mortgage for.Seymours hid their knowledge of this defective lease along with an awareness that the managemeny company does not want to budge on changing it.Information like this should be provided to anyone who makes an offer, a company that is willing to lie about something that can harpoon a sale like this is not to be trusted and I will never be using their service again.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this must have been. We take feedback like this seriously and would like to look into it further. Could you let us know which office you were dealing with so we can investigate this properly?

Great valuation, marketing and sales progression but limited knowledge of agents at viewings
The reason I selected Seymours to market my property over other agents was due to the volume of helpful data provided for valuation and the "testing of the water" on the value with a few viewings which enabled us to adjust the marketing price before it went online and I had several viewings with two offers very quickly. The Sales Progression Team (in my case Clive and Tracy) were very helpful throughout. The reason I haven't given this 5* is because I understood from my buyers later that the agent that showed them around my property knew very little about it and a point I wanted all viewers to know about was NOT made clear and could have jeopardised the offer that I had accepted.
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found our valuation process and sales progression team helpful in securing your sale. I appreciate your comments about the viewing experience and will take this on board to ensure important details are always communicated clearly. If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

Partnership approach to moving
Honest, kind, professional, integrity, hard working and always going the extra mile are just some of the words we could use to describe James & the Seymour's, Grayshott team. They worked in partnership with us tailoring their way of working to fit with our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and everything they did was to help us make the right decisions to suit us. They are decent, knowledgeable and brilliant people to work with and we can't recommend them highly enough.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm really pleased I could support you throughout the process, and that our approach worked well for you. Your recommendation means a lot, and if you need anything else, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Highly professional and good knowledge of the local market
I was very pleased with the service that I received from Tracey and her team. The approach from Seymours has been highly professional and they have consistently provided honest and sensible advice, informed by their knowledge and understanding of the local market. Tracey secured a decent number of viewings and found me a buyer during a difficult period for house sales.
That's really kind, its been our pleasure helping you on the journey.

Absolutely incredible!!!
Absolutely incredible!!!After finding a house in September I called and first spoke to Yasmin. I have never spoken to someone so positive and enthusiastic. She booked an appointment and was there for the viewing. After viewing the house I explained that I have a house to sell in order to purchase. Yasmin said what became a regular word for her “no problem“. Yasmin came to the house with her colleague Luke. Both Yasmin and Luke were amazing in the advice they gave. Due to their dedication and professionalism the house was sold in 12 days and a price agreed on a purchase.Yasmin and Luke did everything to secure the house sale and purchase. Sadly complications arose but Yasmin and Luke did everything to reassure and help. I have bought and sold properties before but never has the support been so incredible. At any stage the guys were there to answer calls, emails, WhatsApp even in the evening. Thanks to Yasmin and Luke everything has worked out so well and we moved in before Xmas. I could write another 10 paragraphs to explain how amazing they are.Simply the best - cannot recommend enough 5 *
Hi Mohammed,What a lovely review, it's great that you've taken the time to write. I would like to be able to pass this on. Which was the office that's "absolutely incredible"?Best, Ian.

Seymours were exceptional throughout our move and after. Their care and attention to detail puts you at ease during one of the most stressful times of your life. Their team are quick to respond to calls and emails, check in with you along the process and are there to give after care also. I can’t recommend them enough, Andie especially for us was an absolute star but I know she’s part of a great team. Thanks guys!
Thank you for your lovely feedback Julie. We’re so pleased that Andie and the team could support you through such a stressful time. Providing a smooth and attentive service is always our goal, so it’s great to hear we made a difference. Wishing you all the best in your new home.

Poor Service
Throughout a three year rental, all admin for problem resolution was with the tenant with lack of support from the agency. A shattered window remains unresolved after nearly 4 months with blame attributed to the external contractor they selected. After ending the tenancy the viewings process for new tenants involved daily emails from multiple team members requesting access within 24 hours
Thank you for the review, we are sorry to hear of the issues you experienced. We have reviewed all our properties to contact you directly, but have been unable to confirm which tenancy this relates to. Please may I ask you to contact us directly at lettings@seymours-woking.co.uk to provide some additional information, so we can assist further.

Excellent estate agent 👌
We have just recently completed on a house purchase with Seymour’s (Woking branch), and yet again the sales side of the business has delivered with top marks. It is clear to see that they are very much a customer focused estate agent. Zo (the partner) and his wider team ensured that they kept us up to date throughout the entire process with excellent communication. I would definitely recommend seymours sales if you are looking to either buy or sell a property as they have been nothing great with myself and my wider family
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review. We’re pleased to hear that your experience with he team was a positive one, and that we were able to keep you updated throughout the process. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’re glad to have been able to assist you with your house purchase.

Fantastic experience!
Working with Tom has been a fantastic experience. We kept in touch all the way and his advice and direction was valuable. Tom fully understood our needs and the proposals presented were matching with our requirements. The entire team at Seymours is fantastic. And thanks to Ben and Brett. We'll do business again, I'm sure.
There's one thing a lot of other agents could learn - less talking and more listening, Love to have you back with us again on your next property journey. #yourpropertypartnerforlife
