Having been in the property business for many decades I believe that I am sufficiently experienced to understand the essential aspects of an estate agent both from the perspective of purchaser and seller and that of landlord and tenant. Having dealt with Charters for many years longstanding, I would therefore, confirm, that my confidence in Charters is absolute such that they would always be my first choice to the extent that this would exclude all others. The rationale of the aforegoing statement, is because in my opinion, there is no other estate agent that is likely to provide the exceptionally high level of absolute commitment to both landlord and tenant as that provided by the staff at Charters. I am able to state, and indeed pleased to do so, that the all important aspect of "First Impression" of any member of Charters staff, is not only exemplary, but remains at this inordinately high level throughout the relationship, such that a sincere bond of complete confidence and absolute trust is born, in the certain knowledge everyone is working in concert toward the ultimate satisfaction of buyer and seller or/and landlord and tenant.

I've been on both sides of the fence where estate agents are concerned, having managed two independent branches in the past. But rarely have I ever found a company whose team uniformly live up to my expectations as a customer. But from the very first day I walked into Charters' Winchester office last year (2018) I was impressed. And although the specific studio I was hoping to rent had already been taken, I recently put my name down in the hope that I would be given first refusal whenever it became available again... I viewed it this week with Kathryn who was kind enough to give me a call straight away and get me in within 24 hours! Sadly, after doing the sums both financially and logistically, a move there wouldn't prove viable for me this time round. But, rest assured I shall be knocking on Charters' door and or making them my first call, whenever I'm ready to step back onto the property market that's for sure. Well done guys, it's fantastic to meet a team who actually mean what they say and stand by it - a rare commodity in this day and age...

I have been extremely impressed with Charters from start to finish. As a property investor I have used other agents in Winchester and in other cities in the UK. Charters without a shadow of doubt have been the best. I have bought and let via charters and use them for property management. Both the sales and lettings team have come up with solutions when things didn't go to plan. The admin team have always been spot on.

I cannot speak to the back end process - but the showing and client engagement is excellent and attentive and if I was a seller I would really appreciate that as I would know the agent was doing a great job

Incredibly patient and helpful lettings team who went above and beyond to try to help us find a rental property. We always felt like we were front of mind when new properties came on the market and Sarah even held viewings after hours to accommodate us. We bought a house through Charters and from the initial viewing through to the completion they couldn't have been more customer focused. We needed to view the property multiple times, they arranged this with the owner and obliged each and every time. They supported us through the negotiations, and provided us with access to useful services during the move, such as an excellent removal company. They are professional, accessible and supportive. It is a stressful process and they helped by accommodating all our requirements. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Charters had a remarkably poor post-sale service, caused damage to the property during the sales process, referred unqualified and substandard surveying through their Trinity Rose arm. They then lie about being connected, and lie throughout the sale completion process. They drag out the sales process and abuse their client data - selling it to numerous other organisations despite an explicit instruction to the contrary. Very poor service and unethical practice - and been referred to the Ombudsman.
