We worked with Michelle to sort out our contract and she couldn't have been more helpful!! It is all of our first times renting and she took us through step by step what we needed to do and all of the legal requirements as well as answering my many questions with great confidence, honesty and always within 24 hours. GoogleWent in to see what the procedure was of moving out of a shared house, wanted to see what I would need to do and if there were any fees before making any decisions. Roman City then proceeded to call the other tenants of the house without my knowledge to let them know that I was thinking of moving out, this was way before I signed anything or even made a decision of what I was planning on doing. This put me into an even more unsafe and uncomfortable situation with who I was living with. Later in the month after I had started the process of moving, my mother rang the letting agents so she could let them know what was going on within my shared house and as soon as the call ended, the letting agent again rang the other tenants to tell them my mother rang and the details of the call. This was without my knowledge and a total breach of confidentiality. Would never recommend going through Roman City, obviously very unprofessional.
Hi I am very disappointed to see details of your review. I am unable to identify you from your review so unfortunately cannot respond on this particular case. I can however confirm that all of our tenancies are "Joint and Several" contracts and therefore we cannot agree to keep a matter confidential when it affects all tenants. We have a duty to communicate with all tenants regarding any information received from one due to the nature of the agreement. We will always do our upmost to assist any individual tenant who wishes to reassign their part of the contract but, legally, require agreement of all tenants in order to complete this. GoogleAbsolutely no intention of giving students their deposit back at the end of their tenancy, they even went as far as planting bin bags in the driveway to claim more money from us when we have photo evidence of the driveway being clear as we took any rubbish to the dump before leaving. We spent hours cleaning the property only to be told it was left in poor condition, which again we have photo evidence it was not. If I could give zero stars I would, being accused of lying when we were able to produce evidence we were not and having money removed from our deposit unfairly. If you’re students looking for a house, look elsewhere.

GoogleRented a flat from RC for 2 academic years. They were happy to accomodate for BBAs/Architecture students and were very helpful with the move in/out, as well as with any issues. The staff are helpful and kind, especially Kayla who dealt with us most of the time.
I am so pleased to hear that you have been happy with the service you have received during your tenancy. It can be more challenging dealing with the split tenancies for BBA/Architecture students but we appreciate that it is very hard to find shorter term lets in Bath so we always do everything we can to assist.

GoogleMy group have had an amazing experience with Roman City while finding our first year university house. I was in contact with Chloe and Michele and they were both incredibly helpful, always quick to respond and actively helping us in our search, suggesting properties in addition to what we asked about. I would highly recommend Roman City - especially to students who are not familiar with the housing market as they make the whole process understandable and manageable.

Roman City is the epitome of a greedy and disrespectful letting agency. With poor quality housing, slow customer service and sky-high fees that aim to rinse you of your money. They treat students no better than animals, charging ridiculously high fees with nothing to show for it. I regret choosing them for my two years at university and only survived due to the close relationship I have with my housemates. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. (Name is not my real name as I am still renting with them and really can't afford for them to screw us over anymore)
