GoogleWhen I heard that John and Emma were setting up together I knew that when the time came for us to sell our property we would go with Hope and Braim. They both have so much knowledge and expertise as-well as being really friendly and personable. They both make the perfect team and provide a first class service,I’d recommend H & B to anyone looking for a honest, professional and modern estate agent in Whitby.

GoogleReally poor communication from the beginning. We booked a viewing for a cottage and no one showed up to the viewing until we called and reminded them. The viewing couldn't go ahead and so we were told we would be contacted for a virtual viewing, this never happened. We missed out on this property. We made an offer on another property and never heard anything back. We had to call again to find out what was happening with our offer and was told not to worry, we would be kept informed. This property has now sold and we were not notified until we called after seeing 'sold stc' on the property on rightmove. Severe lack in communication from the company and any communication that has occurred we have encountered very poor attitude from the staff to say this is a customer focused business

Hi Lauren, we are sorry you feel you weren't dealt with fairly and didn't receive good customer service from our team. At the time of your aborted viewing in September we did meet you in person at the cottage and explain the reason we couldn't gain access, an error by the owner, and we did apologise and offered an alternative by suggesting a virtual viewing. We then received 6 offers on this property in the following days, one of which was accepted by the owner. In regards to the offer you made on one of our properties, we have checked our records and we have no other viewings or any offers booked under your name, unless it was under another name? We do appreciate the frustration buyers feel when trying to buy property in the current market, with potentially multiple buyers chasing the same property, so we do try our best to accommodate buyers. We strive to offer the best customer service to both our sellers and buyers, and we will continue to look to improve. GoogleTried to ring and arrange viewings on properties but nobody ever answers the phone. We literally rang 7 times over the past 8 days and got through once. Maybe the Xmas period alters things but it’s says on Google that they are open. Then the male we eventually spoke to did not ring us back with any feedback or with any viewings arranged. Really poor communications. Now we’ll look at listings with other estate agents in Whitby

We are sorry you have found it difficult to arrange a viewing this past week. Our office has been closed during the Christmas period and won't be fully open until Wednesday 4th January. We have now changed our status on Google to Temporarily Closed. We don't have a record of missing 7 calls from the same number and Jon (the male) doesn't recall not getting back in touch with yourselves or anyone that he's had contact with during this period. We are still taking calls and arranging viewings, so if you would like to call back, we will be able to arrange those viewings for you. If we don't answer straight away, as we only have one-line operating at the moment, please leave a message and we will return your call.

GoogleWe have just purchased our house through Hope and Braim. This is the second property has we have purchased using Emma. I like the fact that they are realistic about what you are buying and do not try to describe a sows ear as a silk purse. During our house hunt, we pulled out of one sale and Emma took it in her stride and was understanding of our reasons. When we come to sell, will happily consider them to act as our agents.
