I would strongly caution anyone against using Foxtons when purchasing a property. Our experience was deeply disappointing and handled with a complete lack of professionalism, integrity and basic transparency.

I had a wonderful experience with Foxtons, they helped me to take my first private rented apartment when I needed them the most. I was short on some requirements however they helped me to pass the checks and get the apartment I desired.

GoogleI have been dealing with Joan Mufti from Foxtons St John's Wood. My experience with Joan is very positive; not only did she show me properties I liked and within my budget/preference, she has been very supportive and helpful in answering all my questions related to buying a property which I really appreciate since I am a first-time buyer. Joan has excellent communication skills and responds quickly on emails/calls which is something I really appreciate. I have had calls from other Foxtons people but was adamant about sticking with Joan to let only her show me properties as she was very much in the loop of what I wanted and I trusted that she showed me the best deals in the market. It's very clear that she has been doing her job for many years as she seemed very knowledgeable about the properties and the areas she covers. She is also generally a nice person to be around and talk to. I am recommending Joan to my friends and would be pleased to deal with her again.

GoogleAlessandro was great. Wouldn't actually have secured the flat (to rent) without him. I know Foxtons has a reputation for aggression on the market (though it's true their fees are rather high) but every aspect of dealing with them has been efficient and stress-free. We love our new flat.

GoogleI was delighted with the service provided by Sophie on Monday 4th January. Sophie helped me throughout the whole process, from discussing my property requirements early on in the day to staying late in order to complete the deal. Sophie was friendly, professional and knowledgeable; all of which were much appreciated. For questions that I had about the property, Sophie actively found the answers and let me know ASAP which was very useful in my decision making process. Thanks again.

GoogleI worked with agent Alessandro Lombardo from the St John's Wood branch. He listened to my requirements and efficiently took me around five or six properties (including one wild card) within the allocated two hours. It was very clear from the start as he took out the map and showed me his planned route which was exactly what I was hoping for. I settled in one of them eventually. Alessandro and his manager William was very responsive to complete the deal after too. The only gripe for one star less is due to the price charged by Foxtons - it was the highest among all the agents I've contacted during the search.

GoogleIt was a pleasure to deal with Ronald from Foxtons in St John's Wood. We found him highly professional, personable and friendly. He is always approachable and no question is too stupid. Buying a property can be a very stressful process, and he took the stress out of the process. He just went over and above. Not only in his communications but with his willingness to do everything he can do to help us. His advice has been extremely useful. We will definitely recommend Ronald and Foxtons to any of our friends and family.

He has kept us appraised of properties that match our requirements - he took the time to find out exactly what we are looking for, both on the phone and during visits to properties, so our time wouldn't be wasted on unsuitable properties. He keeps in touch regularly and is always willing to answer any questions we may have. We have found him to be a really helpful agent who genuinely wants you to buy a property that you will be happy with.

GoogleHonestly, when most people think of Foxtons (or generally the stereotypical estate agent) words like arrogant, hard selling and untrustworthy come into mind. However, Sonya Chambers, at St John's Wood branch, was genuinely their for us when we were looking to buy a property - from start to end. Both of us agree she was friendly, honest, hard working and always kept us in the loop during the very stressful process. As first time buyers we never hesitated to ask her any questions. She was always straight to the point, clear and concise; and if she did not the answer then she would say so. We would highly recommend her to any of our friends who are looking to buy a house. GoogleI received excellent customer service from Foxton's St John's Wood when my wife and I were looking to buy a property in the area. My estate agent, Sonya Chambers was extremely helpful - polite, courteous, professional and hard working. She kept me updated regularly along the way. Unfortunately, due to a change of circumstances my wife and I were not able to complete the purchase. However, when we are back on the property search we will definitely contact her, and Foxton's again!

GoogleI wish there were a box for "Appalling" as "Poor-Fair" is inadequate to describe my experience. I let my property out through Foxtons. Their hidden charges are enormous - for example, they charged me £250 for what they called "professional cleaners" who completely cleared my kitchen, throwing away brand new tea towels, utensil holders and cutlery, and food items such as coffee, tea bags, rice, spices, sauces etc. The let was a short term let of 3 weeks and I had NOT instructed any "professional" cleaning to be carried out as it had all been done 3 weeks previously! The cleaners also defrosted my fridge, again without my permission, using a knife to speed up the process by chipping away at the ice. Inevitably they punctured the freezer lining and the whole fridge freezer - only 12 months old - had to be replaced. Obviously we also lost the contents of the freezer. It took them 3 weeks to replace the freezer, in the height of summer, so we couldn't even keep the milk cold. It also took in excess of 30 phone calls. Calls were generally not answered, or if they were, promised action was not taken. The inventory was completely incorrect and failed to record what was in the flat at the time the let took place. My cat could have done it better. I know that they also charged the tenants for many items which they had not been told about in advance. Avoid Foxtons at all costs. Terrible.

Received the flat in a terrible condition with no apparent cleaning or repairs done despite being promised. Lack of information regarding bills and meters in the lacklustre welcome pack. Overall a terrible experience.

Rented an appartment with foxtons at Standhope Gardens 62d Standhope gardens! After I found out that there were prostitutes residing before and that the bathtub collapsed 1 year ago and the wall crushed! Also, it was full of rats!
