Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

GoogleToday I got a flat from Foxtons where David Alyan was not so kind to help us, we made some requirements as one room had a broken blind and DAVID ALYAN said he was going to fix it, but was so persistent when it came to the money and when we moved in we saw that the blind was not fixed so got back to David and he said that we had to ask the landlord (even though he said he had already fixed it) about it. Really disappointed with their professionalism

GoogleOne of the worst experience I ever had. One of their agent, Alberto Bonaria, managed to do in few days all that an agent should not do. Long story short, I see this flat and I make an offer, accepted. Here the agent says that the law requires now to pay 1 month in advance and 5 weeks deposit before any reference. This is just bullishit, it is only Foxtons saying that, there is no law and they should require just 1 week. But it is fine, I pay 11k and start the reference. I have also another apartment rented under my name for my girlfriend, so the agent says there could be an income problem and you should pay 6 months in advance. I accept it and Alberto says bare with me, I am sending you the contract revised and then he disappear. I tried to be in touch with him for 1 week calling and messages, he just ghosted. Called also the agency 2-3 times asking to talk to his manager Alexi but he was just pretending not to be there. So apparently the landlord just changed his mind and did not intend to proceed, but nobody from Foxtons thought about letting me know, they were just very quick to ask for the money in advance. There is more, the worst agent in the world Alberto Bonaria was showing the flat around (maybe to collect more advance payments) while my offer was still accepted and nobody had informed me about anything. Finally I had to go to the branch and threaten to take legal steps in order to have assurances that the money is paying back. Until today is not yet back so let s see. When a greedy culture blends with total incompetence it is a very dangerous mix....STAY AWAY!!!!

used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

GoogleI was supposed to have a viewing for a £1.5m flat in Marylebone with Venetia from Foxton. Two days before the viewing she called to change the viewing time to early morning on Saturday. On the day, we arrived at the place but she never turned up. We’ve emailed, texted and gave her a ring but with no success. The branch also couldn’t reach her and suggested that we just go home. It was a cold morning (3 °C) and we had to wait on the street for 30 minutes being very confused. Later on the same day, she sent a short email saying she had cancelled our appointment due to personal reason and that she whatapped me. Absolutely no hint of apology or feeling sorry for the fact that we’ve wasted our weekend morning just for this viewing. I received no whatsapp message from her.

Horrible setup with bullies waiting for targets to exploit in whatever way possible- A lot on the estate agent services in united Kingdom.Their only aim is to collect the money from both tenants n landlord.After that no responsibility. Can't imagine recommend them to my worst enemy.
