Awful. We are fairly young and purchased a 5 bed via them. On house viewing the old 'gentelman' who only works some Saturdays wouldn't let us take pictures, kept asking how we can afford it and kept making jabs like he thought we were scouting out the place to rob it. At one point, he offered to send a leaflet for the property, which never turned up. The sellers used these estate agents, and they were really pushy for info from us on the chain but when we needed any info they had nothing ever and said oh we will get back to you and never would. The seller said they would break chain and they didnt not the Estate agents fault but there were numerous attempts for simultaneous and the seller went MIA on those days, trying to get answers from estate agent was an absolute nightmare. When we went to pick up the keys, the estate agent had us come a 2pm no keys available, had us hang around for ages, eventually gave us their keys as they couldn't contact seller. Turns out she was gone ages ago they said they would post us the other keys that never surfaced. Communication abysmal. Made a stressful time even more stressful.

The team at Martin & Co made it an easy decision for me to allow them to market my property for rent. From the outset they offered a very prompt and professional service and kept a very mindful approach to make the process as smooth as possible both from a landlord and tenants prospective. They kept me well informed throughout and ensured the void between tenants was minimal. Martin & Co can offer Landords a find a tenant service only, right through to a fully managed service taking any hassle out of renting. I highly recommend the Landlords services that Martin & Co offer and will have no hesitation using them again.

Dealing with the lettings department made me feel like they were doing me a favour. On the two occasions I made contact with their office, both members of staff were very rude and at no point asked me what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it when they asked me about my credit rating before anything else, people rent for a number of reasons and they should not be so presumptious. Treating people in the rental market like second rate citizens is not the way forward. Following this I went to paxtons estate agents and they could not be more helpful.

The westbury branch have been amazing lettings agents. They are really friendly and communicative even though they’re clearly very busy, they really listened to what we needed and helped us find a suitable property in the time we needed. We had a couple of issues the first few weeks of moving into the house and they were very quick to support us resolving them. So really pleased with the service. I would highly recommend letting through Martin and Co. They are the best in the area!
