Can't fault the politeness of the majority of staff and friendly manner. However, my experience with them as a letting agent was very poor. It's resulted in me giving up my home, due to their lack of care to get anything done in the property. Had issues been resolved, problems wouldn't had became worse such as the damp. Landlord clears for contactors to come out and get quotes yet the agents done bother to get anyone out. Constantly having to call up to chase up progress or get an update as there's no contact from them. Repairs being left as they don't get anyone out when they say someone will come. End of tenancy check wasn't even completed with me present yet it was an arranged appointment. I've even had to contact the deposit scheme to file to get my bond back myself as they hadn't initiated the process when the property has been empty over 2 weeks. Other people may have positive experiences with this company but I certainly haven't and hope no one else has to experience the same.

They request software access to your bank account and that of your guarantor for a house rent not worth £400. Now I have software that has access to my bank account, but I am watching out; if there is any unnecessary transaction, I will sue.

My experience with safe and secure properties has been outstanding from start to finish. I don’t remember the lady’s name who initially showed me the viewings on a couple of properties but the process was easy and she was extremely professional and friendly. Hollie organised everything and went above and beyond her role, I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive advisor to complete my move. She was very friendly, thorough on explaining everything and getting everything organised efficiently. She really helped me get moved in quickly and I’m extremely grateful. She’s a credit to the company. I even received a little moving in box with a variety of good items which was very thoughtful. Would highly recommend safe and secure to anyone.

Been a tenant for over 3 years now. The customer service here is appalling. I lost my keys today & they refused to help me get back in unless I paid them £50. It’s the middle of winter, I’m on universal credit as I have C-PTSD and other chronic illnesses. I panic when I’m out of the house at the best of times, never mind being locked out. The woman I spoke to was so rude and unhelpful. Quite disgusting really. Luckily I’ve managed to get back in without them, if it was up to them I’d be outside, freezing & having a panic attack. The woman needs to find herself a bit of empathy to those who are vulnerable.

Do not use this company, said they would rectify problems with the property I was due to move into, nothing had been done, the oven didn’t work shower didn’t work, bath was covered in black mould and the property itself was uninhabitable. Was told by a member of staff at safe and secure that it was my standards must be higher than there’s and that was the problem! Moved out after three days with no money returned, deposit wasn’t even deposited into a security scheme. Between them and the landlord I’d stay well clear of this company!! I was told I’d receive a letter releasing me from the tenancy contract to which I still have not received 3 weeks later. If you want an honest and trustworthy letting agency definitely do not use this one!!

A friend of mine has a home through these people. Terrible service, never answer the phone and when they do they haven’t got a clue! Avoid doing any essential work on the home - for example damp treatment or fixing electrical work. Avoid at all cost, should be closed down!
